Digital drawing and coloring is something I've done for some years now, but with 3D work taking so much of my focus, it's been ages since I last delved into the medium. Trying to find a comfortable style took far longer than I had hoped, but I am happy with the result! April summary + May plans

Hello everyone! April is coming to a close with less done than I would have hoped, but I'm still optimistic for a little bit more in this final bit.

Looking ahead, though! I'm trying to be cautious not to bite off more than I can chew, while still aiming high. There's a few projects on my to-do list right now; not all of them for May, but they're all on the table still.

You know, I don't think I've ever really shown this "middle bit" of my postwork process. ^^ Everything's still rough - I've been making slow progress, and trying to get things Just Right™ - but here I'm doodling where I'd like to paint in some of the saliva, with a small amount detailed towards the front of the mouth.

I usually paint it all in as a white silhouette, then add the colors in later! It's not the most intuitive method, but it leaves me with the most flexibility afterwards to twea...

More Momoe maw progress! I decided to add some PoV arms after all, since it's not as difficult as I remembered it being; not quite sure on the posing yet, at the moment the PoV prey is pushing up against Momoe's uvula but it looks a little awkward, so I might change it up.

February Update (+ kissin')

Time for a progress update! I might try to start doing these weekly or bi-weekly, so there isn't so much downtime between posts. ^^

First off, here's some of the progress on my second Valentine's-esque picture! It probably won't be done in time for Valentine's day itself, but that's fine. I'm considering it as more of a February theme. As you can probably guess, there's some kissing going on here, and that'll soon involve a lot more tongue too. These are just the rough poses so far. Fun stuff!...

February Plans

Ah, things are getting tight! There's already the one image finished for Valentine's Day, but I'd really like to have another to go with it. The plan for that one right now is some fun, friendly long-tongue kissing, between my characters Mimi and Umami. I'd bounced around a few ideas to spice that up, but in the end I think simple does it the most justice, just the two of them having some "kissing practice" of sorts.

That one may or may not get finished in time, though I plan to do it...

Mimi - Valentine's chocolate

I had a bit of a slow day, but managed to get this finished early! A picture intended for Valentine's Day, and for once I'm not putting the finishing touches on it the night before. And now you all get to enjoy it about three weeks in advance. ^^

Just a quickie project for this upcoming Valentine's day! Getting an early(ish) start on it this time.

Gonna keep this one simple, though I have a few little tweaks I still want to make. I'm thinking of leaning her forward a bit, and bringing one finger up to hold the chocolate steady... probably gonna be some drool and a bit of melted chocolate in the postwork too, naturally.

first 2017 update!

I have a lot of plans and hopes for this year, though I must admit it's been starting off slower than I'd hoped. Still, I'd like to share a bit of an update with you on where I am in my work and what I have planned, so you all have a better idea of what to expect!

First things first, I'm pushing to get a few commissions finished up right now. I'd actually hoped to get them all done before this year, but it turned out to be way too optimistic on my part. You've already see...

A finished commission for Hilgy, from a little earlier this month! :) Is Teena being affectionate or indulgent? Is there even a difference?

I tried to make the prey look a little more resigned as opposed to scared, like he was expecting this or something. Maybe Teena convinced him to come with her for some reason or another... I'm not entirely sure! (I'll have to write more of a blurb to go with it later)

Hello everyone! It's the final countdown for 2016! Can't wait for this year to be over.

Just a quick update, I'm focusing right now on finishing up this last batch of commissions, so there's probably only going to be a few WIPs to show from that. I'm eager to pick up on some bigger projects shortly afterwards, though.

Progress again! Actually did quite a bit in one sitting today, and I'm feeling pretty happy with it too. Everything went a lot more smoothly then I'd expected.

Ended up settling (mostly) on Wanda as the pred here, though it was a difficult decision. I might still switch it up but I'm not planning on it, at least. Wanda's a good fit.

My big takeaway thus far is that I really need to do more with a bunch of other characters! Having to settle on Wanda was hard, since both ...

Off to a simple start, already! Just working on the prey's posing to begin with, and a piece of candy (a nice little chocolate in this case). Might need some little tweaks still, but I think it's working so far; the pred can hold the chocolate between their thumb and forefinger, while the camera view is looking down from just above their hand, the pred's open mouth taking up most of the backdrop.

I've narrowed the pred character choices down just a bit, to a few that I think might be good ...
