I know Vlogmas is pretty Christmas oriented & I want y'all to know I never forget about my Jewish legends out there! ANYWAY! It's been a whole week of Vlogmas & I'm thriving! I'm feeling more productive than usual today, so I'm doing random tasks & making a long list of to-do's while I'm out in town. I also have some festive things planned for us this weekend to show in Vlogmas which I'm stoked about! I know that during this month it can sometimes feel like I'm less present on here, but I still check in on here everyday to see messages & read comments! I just get busy with all the uploads. Vlogmas day 1 goes up on Saturday & I can't believe it! To be honest, I am currently feeling OVERWHELMED! Lol. Normally during vlogmas, I don't really feel overwhelmed I just feel like "This is happening & I've done it so many times I know I can do it again," but this year all my work deadlines fell BEFORE vlogmas started & I'm really just feeling jumbled up about it. I've been working on a "winterizing the house" vlog for weeks & it has a sponsor, so I sent it in for approval Wednesday night, but the company was of course off for the holidays, so I still haven't heard back & it's Monday! I'm trying not to pressure them to approve it, but I REALLY need it to go live today because I have... YOU GUESSED IT! Another sponsored video going live on Wednesday! Keep in mind this is all happening literal days before the busiest time of the year for me & somehow nothing was due over the past 3 weeks that I've not been uploading? Funny how life works! Lol. I'm really trying to just ~go with the flow~ but I just need these vids to go up & then I'll feel ok. They're both GREAT vlogs with lots of updates & fun stuff, so I'm also just excited for you guys to see them. ANYWAY! I am quite excited for vlogmas this year. Hello my little sugar plums <3 We are in FULL winterizing mode here at the house. I'm working on a vlog showing all the projects we're up to (sponsored so it'll be sent in for approval today then up within the next few days). Finley drove TWO STATES AWAY last night (don't worry the states here are short & wide so it took him like 1.5 hours each way) to get new garage doors because they were all sold out closer to us. We are TAKING ADVANTAGE of these black Friday sales y'all! On a non-winterizing note, we got a new oven discounted like $400 that'll be delivered next week! Also, the garage doors we collectively saved like $800 on! Obviously it took some time & gas money in exchange, but whatever! Lol.
Finley is currently unloading those to hopefully swap them out & install automatic garage door openers so we can start parking in our covered garage instead of the driveway. We got some snow last night, so we are just trying to figure out what our actual winter will look like. The pigs are doing great & adjusting to the temperature well... The dogs not so much! Lol. We are coping well though I'd say & have gotten some new snow gear recently because upon moving here I realized how absolutely illogical most of my footwear is for where we live. It's appalling! I have so many shoes & so little suitable ones!
ANYWAY! We also ordered snow tires today & DAMN those binches aren't cheap! I thought all season tires were expensive, but STUDDED? GET REAL! We can't get them installed until Mid-December though because I waited until... It was actually snowing? Learn from me people! As for other updates, the heat is all working well at the house & the bedroom reno is coming along swimmingly. Tomorrow, we're spending Thanksgiving in NH at my aunt's house which will be great! I have been planning lots of Vlogmas activities to share with all of you & also working hard on a few brand deals for the end of November before I'm swallowed by the holiday season. Love you guys!
I got our Christmas card gallery back last night & am so eager to share I simply had to share 10 of them on here! We shot with @annaburchphoto on IG & she absolutely killed it. They look so warm & lovely š„¹š We got soooo many more than these! Yāall are gonna die when you see the others too! All the animals got their solo shots š And Finley even asked for a shot with our gravel pile to fix the driveway & you can see our new roof in the back! Youāll see the rest during vlogmas but eeeek! Hey besties! I'm back home from my trip to GA & have been readjusting to VT life. It is absolutely freezing here in the 20's most nights & 40's during the days, but our pellet stove is slaying & has kept us so warm. We also got our oil central heat going in the rest of the house & that has been great too. In other exciting news, the propane guys FINALLY installed our 3 tanks after we waited patiently for 3 months! They came to hook those up to our stove/oven & 2 wall heaters, but in bad news... Only the stovetop works! The oven is broken! LOL of course, but honestly I am using this as an excuse to buy a new oven that I actually think is nice.
Also, only one of the propane wall heaters actually works & it's apparently ventless? Meaning it puts propane fumes directly into the room? TERRIBLE & SCARY! It's only legally allowed in the home because the room it's in is so big that the fumes "disperse"... Needless to say we're not even using that. I think the only reason they were installed here is because they can be used even during a power outage. The other wall heater is in our bathroom & it needs some T-Bar installed for it to be able to work, but Finley & I honestly think we'd prefer to rip it out during the future bathroom remodel & just build up the central heat duct to reach the bathroom & heat the whole upstairs. That's our current plan!
In other amazing, glorious, STUNNING news: OUR ROOF IS CURRENTLY BEING REPLACED! The guys have been working hard on it since yesterday & bang around up there from 7:30 AM-4:30 PM (sunset... I know it's insanely early up here). They have about 2/3 of the house done & are doing amazing! We chose "dark red" & tbh it's a bit brighter than I expected, but whatever! It will be a MAJOR upgrade from the last leaky roof. In the warmer months, we plan to replace the siding with white hardie board which will weather any storm & last FOREVER! Then, our house will be a cute white home with a red roof, red trim & in the future... a big red barn! A New England staple! LOL
This all being said, we have lots of exciting things happening over here & I've started a new vlog to share it all. I'll have a few videos up before December, but I wanted to announce I AM doing Vlogmas for my 11th year & I am VERY excited! Wanted to say thank you for the sweet & thoughtful responses to my writing post this week. I can feel my depression slowly lifting, but I flew home to be with my family for a bit just in case. Home always cures me! Lol also my mom just really wanted to care for me & was honestly a huge part in me even realizing how depressed I was a few weeks ago. We were on the phone & she kept offering for me to come home & visit for a change of scenery & just to break the depression feedback loop & I kept denying her & then a few days ago I was like fuck it Iām going š My brother is home too actually & this is the first time weāve been home at the same time since 2015!!! Cuz I always come home for Christmas or New Years & he ONLY comes home once a year Mid-November before ski season starts for his work. Needless to say Iām very happy to be back! My mom has recently redecorated every room in the house to have more feng shui & I must say it looks very iconic here! Well, I feel as though my mental health check ins over the past few weeks have been slightly vague, but also more informative than my vlogs at least as to how I'm feeling! I've been feeling pretty depressed lately (hence my sporadic posting & lack of presence in my last vlog) & only today have started to feel a bit more like myself. I figured if the depression is kind of loosening its grip I should at least talk about it. So, today I started to film a "Clean with me: Depression Edition" for YouTube lol. It sounds so dramatic, but I have been absolutely riddled with lack of motivation, lack of self care, inability to focus, needing to distract myself with TV, etc. for hell... 3 weeks now? Something absurd compared to my past experiences with more seasonal depression. It came on fast this year for sure. I know I can point to a handful of reasons why I'm feeling this way & spoke about a few of them in the intro of the video, but the bottom line is it totally sucks brothers! I feel like I have more of an idea now than ever on how crippling depression can be. Thank GOD this past Friday & Saturday I finally got out of the house to do something other than grocery shop, run errands, or go to appointments. I had such a great fall fun time with Finley, but Sunday rolled around & things went back downhill. It obviously is coming in waves, but I just wanted to share more about my experience here & say I love you guys & appreciate your patience with me during this time. Finley has been so understanding & helpful as well so I have to shout his ass out. I feel myself slowly coming back, but I know it takes time. If you're feeling this way too-- Just know I love you & I hope you have someone in your life to talk to about all this whether it's a therapist or loved one. Love, Meg
These pics are a sneak peek into our bedroom renovation! Theyāre in chronological order, so the first pics were when we first moved in & so on. We ripped up the old grey fake wood floor, knocked out the old closet to open up the room, took off the wood boards on the south walls because we need to soundproof them as theyāre shared with the kitchen, then we assessed the state of the base floor & realized weād have to sand it all down, did that, stained them, put on not 1 but 4!!! polyurethane coats to seal it, went out of town for 2+ weeks hoping when we came home we wouldnāt have to wear respirators in the house anymore & were correct, but the polyurethane cured looking streaky & bad š Finley said āEvery time I look at it I see failureā š So we then bought a low VOC poly-whey top coat from Vermont Natural Coatings & it worked AMAZING! The floors are now streak free, odorless & stunning! Took them long enough! š¤¦āāļø Multiple months honestlyā¦ So now weāre finally planning out where our bed & closet will go & making tape lines to mark those off. Also, this week Finley began rewiring the electrical because itās totally fucked in that room like most of the wiring in this house š But weāre making good progress! Next, weāll insulate the exposed walls for sound proofing after finishing the wiring/lighting, seal them with drywall, build out our closet & move everything upstairs finally! Who the hell knows when weāll be done but itās been a fun project so far minus the floors cuz we hated that š Just wanted to show a patron-only update! Hi besties! I got a sweet message today just checking in on me & it reminded me that I forgot to check back in with you guys on how Iām feeling since my last post. I took a mental health break from lots of platforms over the past 2-ish weeks, but am slowly returning to sharing more with new boundaries. I am a sensitive woman! š I was just having trouble separating myself from the unnecessary opinions I sometimes get online even when I donāt ask.
Letās face it, the world has been a lot lately. I have been privately dealing with some health news relating to a handful of different loved ones, dealing with the soul shattering news cycle & taking time to process it all. After talking to a friend recently, she reminded me that my upload schedule being weekly definitely isnāt the norm & if Iām not feeling able to keep up with that all the time itās no big deal. That was nice to hear cuz I was really trying to crank out the videos for a while there, but am enjoying this new slower season of creating.
That being said though, Iāll have a new video up this week that Iāve been working on over the past few weeks. We are still deep in the midst of bedroom renovations, but are making good progress, so Iāll show some sneak peek pics this week! Weāve been SO proud of our piggy girls as well because they have been BEYOND well behaved over the past few weeks & have really proven themselves to be trusted free rangers! I will share more about that in the new vid. Just wanted to check in & say hi & thanks for being patient with me :) Also, Iām back in therapy! Yeehaw! Lol
Hey there brothers! So yesterday was word mental health day & it made me realize how anxious I've been lately... Like SUPER on edge spiraling not only about my blood test results even when my doctor tells me not to, but I've also been really sensitive about the pigs & my comment section. I spoke with a friend yesterday after receiving a negative comment on the recent vlog & vented about how it made me sad how wrong they were & she just reminded me that I absolutely can delete comments that I see that are false about me, my animals, or family. She also suggested I take some time off of IG just so I'm not specifically seeking out DM's or reading other people's opinions & I'm trying to put that into practice this week & decide what I want to do moving forward.
Long story short, some people were clearly upset about me showing in the last vlog how we moved the pigs. I got a handful of misinformed comments coming at me for various reasons because I showed a clip when they were distressed at our first gas stop. I was showing the reality of the situation, but people thought I was for some reason not taking into account that they were stressed? Even when I said in the vlog what steps we took to calm them down? Finley keeps reminding me that the average viewer most certainly has not moved livestock before & doesn't have the slightest understanding of how stressful it is for everyone involved. We simply tried our best & made the trip as swift as possible for them. We love our piggies SO MUCH & to read comments suggesting otherwise truly upset me so much. It also made me think about how I'll feel if I share my future children & receive negative comments about them... Oh lord I can't even think about it! Lol.
This all being said, I've been rethinking how I want to address those comments in the next vlog politely & appreciate any feedback you guys have. It's frustrating that a few critical & misinformed comments have led me here, but I'm truly thinking about how I even want to approach filming & showing them now. Our pigs are so beyond loved & cared for. They have so much land, water, food, love & shelter. I think I'll just start there? Ugh idk man this just all has gotten to me in a way I didn't think it would've. The girls are asleep in the yard currently enjoying the sun & I'm just inside spiraling about how I'll edit the next vlog. Life is absurd! ANYWAY! Thank you for any feedback & love. It has been going a long way <3

Hello my patient patreon peeps <3 It's been a whirlwind of weeks since we last spoke & patreon has now gotten an update! She's cute she's cute! I wanted to thank you guys for the love & encouragement on my last writing post on here. I ended up having a call with my doctor while I was in CA with my family & he basically explained that while my glucose & insulin levels were high in my last labs, I wasn't fasting, so the results aren't really relevant enough to spiral over. I have an appointment in 5 days where I'll go back in & fast before. Other than that, he really wasn't worried about my other levels & said I can safely wait to see my endocrinologist in December, but not need to go on any medications now to lower my DHEA-S or testosterone which made me feel better hearing his reassurance.
Other than health stress, life has just been busy! We moved the pigs to Vermont a few days ago & they are adjusting quite well! I vlogged their journey & we are still filming updates each day, but I will most likely upload just the vlog of the move first & get that up this weekend. Then, we can film a separate video of their new setup here that Finley is currently working on. I think they'll love it!
I'm SO pleased to have fully moved all of our belongings & animals out of Virginia now. It just feels really final & official that we are Vermont residents! Having 40% of our stuff still there was kind of confusing because we never knew if what we were looking for was in the basement boxes or multiple states away LOL. No longer! I'm trying to decide now if it makes sense to decorate for fall this year or not? I think yes, but I have to clean the kitchen significantly to bring it to a place where it could even be decorated. Only time (& future vlogs) will tell! LOL! Love you guys <3 Hope you have been well & thank you for waiting for my return here patiently! I was stressed & had a lot to deal with, but am evening out now.
HELLO FOLKS! It's a new week & I've gotten my lab results from my doctor visit last week & need to vent. For those of you who don't know, in June I got my blood drawn for a full hormone panel to get more insight into my health. In those labs, they discovered I had really high DHEA-S at level 581 (the cutoff is 349 or something), so I was then referred to an endocrinologist who can't see me until DECEMBER! June-Dec is a long time brothers! So when we moved to VT, I got us a new PCP & he offered to draw my labs again just to see how things were progressing before that endo appointment later this year.
The doctor was wonderful & Finley & I both had a great time which is something one rarely says about the doctor... Lol. I'll have a new vlog up tomorrow where I talk more about it, but long story short he said yes to any lab I wanted him to check in on & I felt very listened to. Mainly I wanted him to assess my areas of concern for a possible PCOS diagnosis I have yet to get which are: testosterone, DHEA-S, glucose & insulin. Today, I got all those results back amongst some others, but ALL of those levels are high.
I'm quite honestly feeling a bit frustrated by this news & will most likely just talk about this here for now because it feels smaller & more safe. Sometimes when I talk about this stuff in vlogs people play doctor & try to diagnose me when I ALREADY HAVE A DOCTOR! Lol. But I'm feeling sad because I started taking expensive supplements to try to lower my testosterone & DHEA-S naturally & my testosterone literally raised while my DHEA-S only went down very slightly. Needless to say, I have stopped buying those.
More frustratingly so, BOTH of my VA doctors (my PCP & my gyno) did not inform me that my glucose levels have been high SINCE MARCH Y'ALL!!! I could've been focusing on trying to lower those levels all year, but am just now being told to worry about them as they are in the pre-diabetic range. I've been quite emotional since getting these results because that label is obviously jarring & I'm just feeling a bit BLAH about it all. I'm proud of myself for taking charge of my health, but also sad at the same time that things have changed so quickly over the course of the past year.
My doctor & I are going to have another visit to go over all the labs in depth together which I'm sure will make me feel better. He is very kind & I sent him a message kind of with this same sentiment of frustration earlier & he responded "Overall, I do NOT think you should be greatly concerned. There are many, many positives." Even after getting that message, I just can't help but spiral when I get results like this & had to vent to someone other than Finley. All this will sort itself out with a good treatment plan & possible meds. Have a good Monday y'all <3 Sending love

SO! Last week had some big flops! I love whenever I post on here about things getting better & then they get worse LOL, but that's life sometimes! For those who don't know, on Friday we had a big thunderstorm that knocked our power out for 12 hours & during that storm our roof started leaking in about 10 different places right above where we were sleeping as well as in various places in the wing of our house. We knew the roof was bad, but we didn't think it was THIS bad. I vlogged the whole disaster & that vid should go up tomorrow, but today we are picking up the pieces & moving forward.
We decided which roofer we're going to hire & he's going to come out tomorrow to assess the damage. The most frustrating part about replacing the roof is the unknown factors that may affect the cost SIGNIFICANTLY. We were told by a different company that we'll probably have to re-sheath the entire house in plywood under the roof since it's *most likely* too rotted to screw a new roof into. If that is that case, these quotes will increase by about $8k.
The CHEAPEST quote we got is for $27k for a new exposed fastener metal roof (that's what we have on currently). I've been told this is actually "pretty reasonable" by a follower of mine I've been messaging that is a roofer. If we have to re-sheath the plywood under it, that would go up to $35k. The company that gave us that quote also offers snaplock metal roofing for $37k ($45K if we need to re-sheath) which is the middle ground material between exposed fastener & the most expensive option: standing seam! Standing seam is the most popular roofing material in VT next to slate! It would up our resale value of the home significantly & last the longest, but it would also be $48k ($53k if we need to re-sheath).
Looking at these numbers is obviously stressful & kind of shocking, but we knew it would be expensive. We got 2 other quotes that were more expensive than that if you can believe it! One company quoted us $78k for standing seam! NO THANKS! Tomorrow, we'll make a decision on if we want to do exposed fastener or snaplock. Snaplock would certainly make the house LOOK nicer which would be ideal, but that also comes at a cost... It's just so important at times like this to remember the $100k reno budget we have. If half of that goes to a new roof, how much will we have left for siding? I don't even want to think about it! But we must! Anyway! Happy Monday! This is what is on my mind today!

I love my new ~morning only~ greeting for you guys lol. I got some weekly updates for ya today! Hot off the press! We're meeting some PALS tonight which is very exciting. I've been messaging a gal since last year about growing up in our area. She has since moved away, but is back visiting family so we're meeting her, her brother & his girlfriend tonight! Woo! The bro & gf still live here, so we're stoked to get the introduction & meet some locals that aren't our neighbors! Lol I do love my neighbors though.
Also, tomorrow I'm doing my zumba certification online all day! 12-9 PM baby! I'm so excited I can barely contain myself! I think I know the gym I want to teach at in person (if they'll have me), but still have to go take some classes & try it out! I want to start by maybe just subbing for a while? Then possibly offering online classes? Maybe even through here? Still workshopping this all! It's going to be very nerve wrecking to join a new gym because my VA gym was truly iconic... So I should probably just get over that hump first before I even consider instructing there.
Also, we're making some major headway on the bedroom renovation. I've been trying to keep the updates on that space pretty minimal in the vlogs because I want it to be a surprise, but for the patron-only update, here's what we've done:
1. Ripped up all the old grey plastic wood flooring that the seller DUCT TAPED down (Easy removal! Lol)
2. Ripped out the entire closet to open up the room SIGNIFICANTLY. It feels so much bigger now!
3. Sanded all the floors to get the old stain off (This has taken WEEKS! We JUST finished yesterday)
4. After living in the home for a month, we've realized how much sound travels in that room down to the kitchen because there's no insulation between the shared walls or floors. We want to mitigate that as much as possible, SO...
5. We ripped off all the wooden boards on the shared kitchen wall to re-do the electrical behind them & install insulation. There is currently only insulation on the walls that are shared with outside.
6. Our next steps are above^ We also are doing preconditioner, stain & polyurethane coating on all the upstairs floors (minus the bathroom) this week before my husband is abducted by the release of the new video game Starfield! (Can anyone relate? He won't shut up about it!) We will then replace the old boarded wall with drywall & maybe do a fun paint or wallpaper. We are relocating & rebuilding the closet as well on a different wall & that will take a while.
We're probably only like halfway done with this project, but boy is it gonna be nice when we're done!!! Love ya!

Hello country bumpkins! What if I called you guys that all the time? I won't, but would you love it? Let me know! Lol today has been an odd little Monday. Finley & I finally set up a dehumidifier in our basement this morning (thank god) because our basement was smelling musty & crusty since we moved in, but it's smelling so much better now. Definitely less of a dank basement stench! In moving vlogs 6 & 7, Finley did fixed some plumbing problems down there so we could hook up our washer drain hose to the drain pipe & ZOOWEEMAMA that pipe stinks now!
This must have been 2 nights ago, but I was doing a load of laundry & was like "GOD it smells" so I told Fin & he realized the sewer gases were coming from that drain pipe! That's why the seller had the pipe taped off! SO! Now we have a makeshift plastic bag taped around the damn thing to make it not smell... Works for now, but we'll have to find a more permanent solution eventually.
After we got the dehumidifier set up, I organized all our laundry because ever since I've been able to wash it here, I've just been storing it all in one big shared bin & it's been a flop. So I separated it today & it's much easier for both of us to navigate our personal piles. Just housewife things!!! Lol. When our bedroom reno is done, we'll finally have a closet! But me thinks it will be a while for that dream to be a reality.
After that, I started feeling kinda weird cuz my period is gonna come soon & I just feel a bit WACKY ya know? I was staring longingly at my grocery list hyping myself up to go shopping for a while & finally did, but ever since I got back I've just been in bed editing because I feel almost like I have a fever? Probably just cycle things, but I'm just resting now either way drinking an adrenal cocktail because my damn adrenal support supplements have been out of stock for like a month! Can a woman LIVE?! ANYWAY! I've also been watching Finley work on the kitchen electrical (& vlog it) & I'm so proud of him! Happy Monday y'all!

My patreon goals this week are to return to my past schedule of writing posts on Mondays, photo or audio posts on Wed or Thurs & video uploads at least monthly. I've been interested in the idea of being more transparent on house project pricing on here with you all-- Is that something you'd enjoy seeing? Comment below! I saw a lot of comments on a previous post asking mainly about house financials, budgeting, prices for projects, etc. so I'm happy to cover that more with you guys on here since it's a smaller audience. Sometimes when you discuss prices on YouTube people are like "You were so dumb to pay xyz amount for that! I could've gotten it for way cheaper!" Lol so it could be nice to share that all on here & talk about why & how things are priced based on the state you live in. Anyway! Just wanted to update you besties this week. I just put up moving vlog #6 which was exciting because it features Finley's DIY projects more & I love getting to share his side of the reno with you! Let me know what you want to see in future moving or reno videos if you want something specific to be highlighted! I plan to film a more "financial" based video for patrons only this week! Hello besties! I wanted to apologize for the sporadic posting on here over the past 2 months or so. Life was chaotic pre-move & we're still adjusting/unpacking post-move, so I'm just trying to fall into the rhythm of making content not only on YouTube, but also on here. I've been slaying the moving vlogs though & I'm so happy y'all have been enjoying them! It was fun sharing all the pre-moving news with you as "our little secret," so I'll definitely do more of that kind of "exclusive" updating in the future. For now, I'm loving checking in with you here via writing, photo & audio posts while I gear up for being able to post more behind the scenes reno videos on here & such. I think it will be fun to be able to do more "uncut" reno videos or include in music in them that I won't be able to on YT. Comment below if you have any other fun renovation ideas you'd like me to share more in depth on here.
His plan is to replace both the sink, faucet & sprayer while he also installs a dishwasher! YIPEE! I think that will be a huge upgrade for our outdated kitchen. If you're updated on the vlogs, we are still having some electrical problems because the previous owner made a chaotic "rats nest" of sorts with the wires in the electrical box. Many circuits are unlabeled & many outlets have no power running to them. Finley is trying to do an entire overhaul of that system on his own to make it ACTUALLY work & make sense, but we need approval from our power company before we do that.
ANYWAY! Those are my biggest updates right now. This was a long post, but when I get home I want to start just sorting some of our clutter filling up our kitchen/daily use areas & maybe just start garden & orchard planning? I know it's early as we won't garden until 2024, but I can't move all the bigger clutter (mattress, decor boxes) out of the kitchen area until Finley finishes our bedroom, so mama needs somethin to do! Lol LOVE YOUUUUU!
HELLO SECRET KEEPERS! You did well my patreon peeps... You did very well! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for keeping our moving secret safe over the past two months. It made me so happy to get to share that with just you guys in the online space (other than fam & friends irl). We are doing swell up here in Vermont so far & I will be pumping out the moving content every other day or so for a while. I'm just sitting on SO much footage it's insane! Finley has started our bedroom renovation as well & that's our first project we're tackling so that we can have a cozy place to rest amongst all the chaos in this house lol. I also just uploaded moving vlog #2 on my YouTube channel! My current routine is working on unpacking all day & then at night I edit. It's been a really great regimen so far! I'm filled to the brim with excitement to share this whole journey with you guys. I also want to address all your questions about the home buying process, renovation plans, land plans, etc. in a future video. Weāre officially on the road to Vermont! Only the patrons, family & friends know hehehe everyone else will find out in the next few days. Here are some packing & moving pics! CANāT BELIEVE ITāS REALLY HAPPENING! All is well so far. We just made our first stop & Iām driving the Lexus behind Finley so I can watch for any funny business with the U-Haul or trailer heās towing. Weāll get in late tonight, drop our truck in the driveway of the house, Fin will get in the Lexus with us & weāll sleep at a hotel tonight. We have our final walk through & then close on the house in the morning. Love yāall!
Another week another update on our future home! We are almost CLEAR TO CLOSE! We could quite possibly move our closing date earlier than what it currently is (7/28), but we still need to get a few of our ducks in a row. In last week's update, I mentioned how we needed to get homeowner's insurance-- Thank you guys for giving advice on that if you've been there btw! We honestly were put through the ringer last week trying to find a company to insure the house because it's a fixer upper & we didn't expect that to be an issue. Long story short, we were turned down by an insurance broker who represented a ton of insurance companies because she asked to see our ENTIRE inspection report which is apparently not normal. Normally, insurance companies will send an agent to inspect the EXTERIOR of the home & they only do that occasionally. That whole situation made me kinda scared, but THEN! GET THIS! In a turn of events, we got coverage from State Farm (legends). The agent representing us is actually the husband of the realtor who represented us for that house we lost out on back in May that I vlogged & cried about LOL. So at least something great came out of that tragedy! Amongst other things like leading us to our perfect home & so on. Anyway! Just want to keep y'all in the loop. We haven't packed shit because we still have all our belongings in storage since this VA house is fully furnished, but we will need to pack toiletries, clothes, kitchen/pantry, dog stuff, etc. When that day comes (yes we're procrastinating) I'll start the moving vlogs. It's funny though because they'll be a secret I won't actually upload until I put up the video announcing that we bought the house... So I hope you besties can keep a secret! Lol
