I currently working on the Obulus concept page on my website and it is tough because I need to simplify a lot of things at first. The most crucial thing is, that these Obulus tributes are necessary for the magic casting. Before the commit of a spell the Obulus must be already done.

As you can see, Chaudine is eating one chilli pepper. That's her Obulus, her main condition so to say, to activate her fire magic ultimate. Right after the first monster appeared she also ate one and could activate her spell against the maid girl later.

Honestly, the catching and throwing part is a bit hard to draw. I am excited to introduce the so-called Obulus system within the next pages though. Therefore it was essential to let Leroy getting some chilli pepper for his master.

With the next two pages this fight scene will finally come to an end. And yeah, i admit I am actually glad about it because I am itching to continue the story. The end of the fighting scene is important though because I want to explain how the casting of a magic works.

These three last pages were the most tedious ones which took the most time by now because somehow the stupid save function of my program overwrote my newer versions - which left me with no option but to redraw everything again.
I have to admit that it was hard to keep my sanity after this whole work but at least I could focus my anger and transfer it into the expression of the sentinel lady...

It's settled. I will change my toning style with the upcoming 40th page. I really considered a lot of aspects and I decided that it would be faster, if I use a clean white background as template. The gradients will be brighter than the old versions.

Ugh, did find out that I have to redraw page 31 again. Don't know why, but the resolution of my original psd file got shrinked omehow. x_x In order to reorder the panels I need the initial resolution again. So yeah, have to draw everything anew.
Started to add some more wiki like database pages for my manga homepage. Already very excited to show you then. Maybe at the end of the month...

Inktober Day 10 - I listened to the Dunkirk OST while drawing this scene which I wrote for a later chapter from my manga. It’ll took aeons until we’ll get to this point though. Since I came up with this scene I plan to make a front cover page of it. Hopefully the time will come in the near future.

An early design of the creature which attacked the warship. There are several wart-like holes over its whole body which can shoot blossom eggs containing its minions - the floraptors I uploaded days ago.

As you figured out by now, I won't upload inktober drawings here every day, but you can check my daily uploads out on my tumblr page.
It is an old monster design which I wanted to use for my manga project. You can also see the older version in my entry post. It will took a while until this nice-looking guy will appear in the manga, but you can bet, that he will make our heroes sweat.
