[HD Scenery Artwork] Mail Delivery to Hogwarts

A commission that I finished just recently and was allowed to post on my websites (can't post the PSD version due to  private information of my client). I posted a preview version of this Hufflepuff girl weeks ago.

I considered this one also as part of my background illustration training that I started months ago. To be frank, I still don't feel confident with daylight colors, but as an overall result it looks satisfying and pleasant enough to me.

I really wanted to create this one for a pretty long time. It's an isometric view of the trading post in the game The Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask.

I really loved the design of the nature-conveying room and always considered it a very creative design since the moment I saw it.

I want to wrap up this page very soon. This short dialogue scene will serve as a transition scene to the main location where everything takes place: The ship. This is a conversation between the vice captain and the coordination assistant where they're commenting on the radiation activity outside. [Artwork] Summer Mia (Color WIP) [Golden Sun]

Early version of my planned Golden Sun beach illustration that will include all main cast characters from both first games. I already drew a summer fanart with all three girls with their swimsuits almost a decade ago, and I wanted to redraw it, but this time the male character will be also included.

I still have to tweak with the colors a lot, I guess. For some reason, Mia's palette looks a bit too dark.

[Character Design] Master Loc-Xoay - Human and Dragon Form

Tsu-Lin's mysterious mentor who she also calls "grandpa". He is a drako-nin, a descendant of an ancient tribe of magically powerful mages who are able to transform into dragons. Taya is also a drako-nin by the way.

Similar to Tsu-Lins daughter Loc-Xoays name is also based on Vietnamese words and means water spout.

[Manga WIP] The Empress & The Grant General

Updated version of page 5 where the two nations of the Welucian continent will be introduced. I was not satisfied with the close-up looks of the two regents, so I redrew them and refined their pose. I also want to add an emblem design for each nation. I will upload the emblem designs as soon as I am done with the brainstorming.

[Artwork] Party Hall

Another commission work from the music lecture book project which I was allowed to post here. Took a while just to gather all the references for the dancers and soldiers alone. I'm glad that the lighting turned out ok, it's not one of my strengths after all.

[Manga Chapter1] Page 2-3 + Cover Page 4 (New)

Took quite a bit until I could get the double page done since the graphics depended on the details from page 4. After I finished drawing Shariya and the crystal, all I had to do at the end was to copy + paste her and put her into the background on the double page.

Since I simplified Taya's and Winrow's designs, it felt more comfortable to draw them. I'm just glad that these two pages are complete now.

Used an old brush to test out a new technique and I quite like the result of my new draft. I really love the idyllic atmosphere in Kiki's Delivery Service. One of my all-time favorites among all the Ghibli movies. Probably not the last fanart of Kiki.

[Artwork in progress] Letter for a young Hufflepuff [Harry Potter]

An ongoing commission. The client allowed me to post the progress here.

Once I realized how much fun it is to draw a scenery illustration. I also appreciate it that I got the opportunity to draw a character with a Hogwarts uniform since I am a big Harry Potter fan. Thanks to this commission, I just realized that I never drew a Harry Potter fanart before. Maybe something I consider for the near future.

[Character Sketch] Pholie Adeux - Young Illusionist

A quick sketch for an updated character design. Pholie is another member of the Malevolus Maid Squad. She has a pretty distinct outfit since her hair and dress are divided into two colors, black and white. Her family is infamous for their advanced hologram technology.

I will tell abut her skill in detail some day but until that moment, well, I will hold myself back with information.

Still working on the Pokémon underwater illustration with Samurott and Hilda. I want to add more Pokémon to the composition to make the scenery appear more lively.

Corsolas have a simple shade and color sheme so I chose to draw them first.

[HD Manga Chapter 1] Page 4 - Cover Illustration (WIP)

When I struggled with my decision of placing the title logo on the double page 2-3 because I did not like the combination of the logo and the speech bubbles, I eventually thought it would be best to separate them and make another extra cover page. So I drew unconscious Shariya frozen in a big chunk of chaos crystals so that the reader get a closer look of her design from the double page. I am still not sure about her cuffs though and her skeletal shackles. Maybe  will tweak them a bit, b...

[HD Animation] Dragon Native Girl Curry (GIF)

Finally, the last animation for my third Patreon tier. I decided to replace her with the old Chaos Seeker icon because she fits the seeker imagery more than the mythologist. Took some time for the right choice for her hair color since only a specific tone of blue looked good on her.

She is a character who will play a bigger role in the upcoming arcs, but this will take a while until we reach this point. That doesn't stop me from putting her on several artworks already, haha.

[Character Sketch] Winrow Astarov (Portrait)

A more up-to-date doodle of my main character Winrow. I placed a lot of importance on the simplicity of his new jacket design which I really want to use throughout the first story arc. Therefore I left out a lot of patterns and details from the previous design, so that he should be easier to draw from memory. I also didn't experiment too much with his pose, just wanted a simple one. I think that his thorns make his silhouette still appear interesting enough.

I think the major change is pretty obvious. Nambaza Woodstock is not seen on the first page anymore. Instead of him it is Tsu-Lin who is accusing Chaudine of murder. I also added some ice here and there to give her first appearance a more mysterious touch. She also looks a bit more intimidating due to the slightly open eyes. [Character Sketch] Vice-Captain Saworo Escovitch

One of my new replaced characters in the manga prologue. His name is based on a popular fish dish. He is a merged version of two older characters. One of them was the previous vice-captain and the other was a guardian who only made a brief appearance in the old prologue version who was going to get a bigger role during the investigation part of the murder case as a key witness. So the final design for the boss xenobeast has been decided. I went with the good old turtle... Ok, here is the thing. This is actually not a completely new designed creature but more like a fusion of the old monster designs I came up with specifically for this chapter. Marion is a puppeteer and a high-ranked captain of the Malevolus maid squad from the interrogation and torture unit. That is all I want to tell for now since it will take a while until she makes an appearance in the manga. :D

[Creature Design] Police Pegasus (Work in progress)

Saw some very cool photos of police horses from a Japanese Twitter account recently. The photos were originally shot in Belgium somewhere, I suppose. Anyway, I really love the heavy-armored look of those horses, and so I took those photos as a reference for my new creature design for a Police Pegasus unit. I still haven't decided if the wings are rather natural or mechanic. I will think about it later.
