I actually painted Lucy in colour for the trail cam piece because it is easier for me since I have all of her necessary colours in a pre-made palette.

In order to turn her black and white I used a nice little trick. :>

Just put a layer on top of your layer stack, fill it completely with pure black and set the layer blending mode to "Hue".

Sneaking Around behind the scenes

For this piece I made a little 3D mockup in Blender because an earlier version i had sketched out had very wonky perspective.

I just made a hollowed out cube and stretched it out to look like a very high room. I then made another one with a sphere in the middle for the treasure piece. After that I played around with some lights to see what would look best.
I also imported a transparent PNG of Diane into Blender to paste her directly into the 3D scene. That way I could quickly see ...
