September Brook, colored

The two color layers sandwiching the sketch, along with some really basic lighting. In effect it's more or less the same as just coloring over the sketch, but eh...it was comfy. 

From a distance, it looks alright as is, but the piece still needs work overall to become something other than distressingly unimpressive. Especially dumb chocolate bunny in the internal. Lawd.

9/19 Sketch 1

A bit later than planned, but the first draft of the sketch is finished. I'll come back to this tomorrow and do a little extra cleaning and adjustment before working on color or value.

So, normally, I'd have done this all in pink—and then a second pass in a dark blue, to prep everything and get a really good base for my linework. But, this time, I'm not going that route. Voting thumbnails for Piece #1

The idea of a thumbnail is to very quickly lay out the basic elements of a piece of art you want to make. The appearance of them isn't so important, as long as they get the idea across.

I'm going to put up the four thumbnails I've made for vote. Only the highest voted one will be selected for completion—the others will be archived for use some other time, maybe. Please see the attached file, and vote when you get the chance.

September themes

So, both pieces this month are going to be vore.

Number one will feature Brook, a big, fluffy bunny. The thumbnails will be up later today.

Number two is still undecided, but will likely involve Avus, an even bigger and just as fluffy deer.

May 20th Progress Update

So I said I'd be sharing a bit in my next progress update, and I'd say it's about that time. I don't have terribly much to say, but I figured I ought to give you a quick rundown of what a piece looks like in its early days.

99% of my big drawings start with this chicken scratch, called a thumbnail. The point of these sketches is that they're quick and easy. Not including time spent breathing and thinking, neither of these took more than half a minute, but they're (relatively) suggestive...

The Beginning

I'm super excited for what could come of all this, mostly because I never expected to be where I am now. It's surreal!

This first month's going to be spent establishing what topics I want my art to cover, detailing my workflow, and getting comfortable with Patreon as a platform.

First piece will be finished the night of Friday, May 10th.
