What else can be said about the Gate 9 crew? Well, a lot of stuff. Vincent gonna eat a self-replicating weapon of mass destruction. Maybe.

We have recorded 3 episodes of Don't Cross the Stream now, so you should have a sense of what we go for when we record it. What other movies or shows should we watch? Some guidelines:
Titles on Netflix are far more likely to be picked because we all have it. Not opposed to using other streaming sites, but only legal ones will be accepted. We do not advocate for piracy.
I am not interested in going over major Hollywood titles - I prefer to look at more obscure titles.
Movies t...

I was inspired to run a game of The Spirit of 77, based on the Warriors and a few other 70s themed stories. See what happens after the events of the movie, when the Warriors call for the help of a group of unusual troubleshooters.

Gantz is a hyper violent sci-fi battle royale series popular in Japan. It started as a manga, became an anime, then two live action movies, and now a CGI movie. Gantz: O adapts a story arc deep in the story, appearing over halfway through the main plot. Bridget, Fae, Thad, Richard, and I discuss what we thought of the movie and how it could be turned into a game.

I experienced several new means of transportation in my recent vacation, including tuk-tuks and catamarans. It made me wonder what vehicles in RPGs would work best in the real world? Aaron, Shaun, Tom, and I discuss some options. We also review:
- Time and Time Again: (again)
- Renegade Dreams: A module for Spacetime, a weird cyberpunk RPG.
- Sweet Wall of Death: A third party module for AD&D that involves giant bee...

The Wilderlands of High Fantasy is billed as the most detailed fantasy setting ever written. I own the boxed set, which contains 2 books (over 500 pages altogether) and 9 double-sided maps, depicting 18 regions. Each map has a hex grid and each hex is numbered. The books largely consists of descriptions of various hexes in each region.
Wouldn't it be a...

As we discussed in episode 2 of Don't Cross the Stream, a game about surviving a blockbuster movie as a secondary character seems way more interesting than playing as the main hero. Bridget actually wrote a draft of that game and it includes lots of random tables. Enjoy!

Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribe is a weird movie. It is ostensibly a Chinese summer blockbuster sci-fi action movie, but it's more like 3 or 4 movies in one. There's aliens, kaiju, the Chinese Red Army's secret archeological unit, an Elvis impersonator who sings about Genghis Khan, dramatic shifts in tone, and undead werewolves (I think).
Bridget, Caleb, Fae, Thad, and I all watched the movie and an...

So over the last week, I have been thinking about the World of Darkness and how to make it entertaining. The Montreal book turns out to be a Black Dog title, which means it is extremely edgelord in the "Let's ape Clive Barker as hard as we can" kind of way.
Then I found out that Onyx Path published a new Werewolf book, Changing Ways, (Old World of Darkness Werewolf) that states that Garou are anti-vaccine. I remember making the argument that Changelings would be anti-vaxxers as an absurd...

A comic series about evil Next Generation Star Trek has come to my attention so we spend most of this episode dissecting it and how this can be applied to RPGs. Sleeveless swole Picard steals the Enterprise so he can go murder Klingons. In other words, he's a murderhobo.
Shaun also reviews an adventure from Dungeon Nov/Dec 2000 about a unicorn missing its horn.
