So I ran a game of Feng Shui 2 over the holidays with special guest player Copper and some of our regulars. I created a totally original setting that takes the real world and adds magical creatures like orcs and centaurs. Enjoy!

Patreon is raising fees for patrons and there is nothing I can do about it

Hi everyone,

Today Patreon emailed me to say that they were going raise fees for all patrons. Previously, creators like me paid for credit card processing fees out of the money we took in from patrons. Starting on December 18, you now will pay those fees directly. I had no say in this and I was fine paying the fees as a business expense.

A new service fee of 2.9% + $0.35 will be paid by patrons for each individual pledge starting on December 18th.

For a $2 pledge, you w...

After Hours: Gifts for the Gift Throne

As the holiday shopping season is upon us, I have come up with an idea for a new game: a miniatures skirmish game about families fighting each other for the best presents at big box stores and online retailer warehouses. We also review:

  • Deep Freeze, an adventure from Dungeon #83
  • Time and Time Again
  • Maximum Metal - a Cyberpunk 2020 supplement
  • A brief survey of the Imperial Guard codex (3E) ...

I have created a Discord for patrons!

If you are already using Discord, you should have received an invitation to the RPPR Patreon Discord server. If not, let me know so I can figure out how to get you on it.

Right now patrons at the 2 and 5 dollar level are patrons on the Discord and $10 and up are elite patrons. That's kind of cosmetic at this point but I will probably give the elite patrons some more options. I am open to suggestions on things we can do with the Discord. I will invite the other RPPR cast members and we wi...

Early Access: Bedlam Hall - The Halloween Party

Bedlam Hall is a PbtA game about being the servants of a rich and bizarre English family. Think Downton Abbey meets Edward Gorey and the Adams Family. The players had a lot of fun with this game. Enjoy and thanks for backing the RPPR Patreon!

RPPR After Hours: Miscibility Startup

What would a startup company look like in a D&D type world? There's lots of gold just waiting to be invested (dragons and retired adventurers gotta do something those massive treasure hoards). Well, obviously it would involve innovations in potions and other magical items. Perhaps like Juicero, but for potions? Aaron, Dan, Shaun, Tom, and I discuss our ideas for magical startup companies and review the following:

  • Pegasus magazine issue 5
  • Magebird Quest from Judge's Guild View Post

Early Access: Urban Shadows - Wolpertinger

Shaun ran a great game of Urban Shadows, a PbtA game of supernatural creatures living in cities. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and wizards, (oh my)! Find out what happens when three such beings are tasked to investigate a series of strange murders and disappearances in New York City in the year 1916.

Palladium Poisoning - Rifts: Africa

You asked for it, you wanted it, now behold the weirdness that is Rifts: Africa! The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are here to wreck shit and they have the rowboating skills to prove it. Poll: Next Palladium Poisoning book to review?

If you have listened to the latest Palladium Poisoning, you should know that we are going to let you, the listener, decide what we should review next. Palladium has put out a LOT of books so we can't include them all, but here's a choice sampling.

In the comments, please let us know if you want us to restart WoD The Heck, continue with Palladium Poisoning, or focus on another game line!

Palladium Poisoning: The New West

Shaun is back, just in time to help me guide Faust through the Wild Wild West of Rifts, complete with giant spider robots and racism. Yes, the New West has lots more character classes, guns, and poorly developed plot hooks. But there's also new mechanics for rodeos! And a traveling medicine show! Plus cactus people and useless character classes!
