A pause.

December.

Winter.

The closing of a year.

Time to pause.

Time to reflect.

To connect more deeply with myself.

The next legs of my creative journey.

The unfolding of what Renaissance Muse will be.

I’m re-imagining things.

Headed into an intensive dance journey next week.

Tending to my inner garden.

Resting. Reading. Writing.

Allowing the next steps to emerge with ease.

The chaos of the last few years has taught me t...

As A Woman 💖

Touching what we long for allows us to touch the deeper yes within ourselves.

And you can’t touch your longing without allowing yourself to touch your sadness.

Letting yourself feel the pull of what you want can hurt. The anger in not having it yet. The grief that you missed some opportunity for it in the past. The sadness and even existential despair that it’s not been possible for so many around you, so why would it be possible for you?

Desire is inherently tied to longing is inherently tied to sadness and grief.

Longing is that place within us ...

Above is a photo of me sharing some poetry at Brooklyn Poets recently.

Photo credit is due to Jason Koo, the creator of the space!

Below is one of my most shared and beloved poems, which I shared that night...

It's called "the art gallery" and I wrote it around 2016.

A preview of my extra special pinky disco shoot… 💖🕺🏽

Ok honestly? I was going to wait ‘til my birthday to release any photos from this series, but couldn’t wait any longer…

I FINALLY got the photos back from this very fun, badass, pink, white, disco-ball-and-fishnet photoshoot I did here in Brooklyn - and I’m in love…!!

More to be released from this set on my birthday, November 1st. I’m so excited for how they came out…

What do you think?!

What’s the vibe you get from this photo? I would love to hear!

What kind of story do these images conjure for you?

Are you acquainted with your no?

Are you acquainted with your no?

Have you ever considered that your "no" carves space for your deeper "yes" to come to fruition?

“No” is the sword that cuts through the BS to get to what you TRULY want.

And can I tell you a secret?

I used to be so terrified thinking about what I wanted.

Beneath all the ways I would show up and say "yes" to other people and what they wanted… was a deep fear of taking responsibility for my life and my path.

If ...

Peek-a-boo...

...just a lil booty for you ;)

In all seriousness... I still get such glee out of this shoot.

I love being immersed in sensual delights. Being in this garden, playing, with a team around me directing me and enjoying the space with me - crafting these beautiful images - it was such a joy.

As always...

I look forward to being in front of the camera making magic once again...

I feel tender hearted. Sensitive. Always open to feeling the world around me.

I’ve had to learn… to be gentle with that. Ok with that. Understanding of that. Celebratory of that. Protective of that.

I’m a woman who needs to slow down in the midst of fast-paced anything.

A woman who needs, loves, and desires to savor, to relax, to soften.

It’s been an incredible thing to make a life that invites this more into my experience.

My photos, my art, my poetr...

Texas Queen 👸🏻

This was such a fun shoot. I still have more to share from it 😉

I really live for shoot days. Getting all dolled up. Especially when I have a costume closet at my disposal (as I did on this day).

Having fun with the set I’m on.

Crafting a vision.

Dropping in and co-creating magical moments with my photographer.

I live for it.

Stepping into a fully immersive creative space.

And having such beautiful images come out of it.

My favorite 90s film?

Clueless.

Can you tell from this photo?

(Ok, maybe it's not the ultimate, end-all-be-all of favorite 90s films - how can I choose just one? But it's way, way up there!)

Very Cher Horowitz vibes here (to me at least), snapped in one of my first sessions with a photographer after I moved to New York City.

Sometimes, I just like having fun. Being playful. Cheeky.

Especially when it's so easy to be serious.

"Yeah, she's in love... with her closet."

I love adornment.

It's something that has brought me joy since as far back as I can remember.

I'm amazed at how my entire day and disposition can change when I dress myself a certain kind of way.

I've been known to bring outfit changes to parties.

Sometimes I need something tighter. Looser. More colorful. More stark. Shorter. Cozier. Softer. Different style. More sparkly.

There are infinite combinations of looks available.

And with each on...
