Chapter 8 Preview and Week 3 Dev Log!

Hello, adventurers! I'm back with a new dev log and I've brought along a preview shot for the upcoming chapter. Looks like Emily is having a hard time, doesn't it?

Development is going well. I finished the scene 1 renders today, and will be starting on scene 2, and hopefully scene 3, this coming week. I've fallen a little behind on writing, but I'll be putting new focus on that this week as well.

You may also have noticed that I have picked up the rate of 4k creation the past coup...

Chapter 8 - Week 2 Dev Log!

Greetings everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Summer is in full swing, as indicated by the 117 degree temperatures I'm currently experiencing. Whoever thought it was a good idea to build a major city in the middle of the desert... that guy is evil.

Anyway, that's not what you're here for. You want an update, right? Well, here we go! I've been able to get the first three scenes of Chapter 8 written, and will be starting the rendering process tomorrow! I'm really pushing har...

New animation test preview, just for Patrons

So, I'm working on some new animation techniques. I want to get better at body movements and expressions. This is something I just completed as a test of what I'm learning. In addition, I'm looking at getting into motion capture. The facial expressions on Hannah are actually mocap'd. I need to work on that, but I like where it's headed!

Hey everyone! Just a quick note to give an update on progress. I started coding today to get an initial beta up for the testers this week. Work is moving forward quickly now that I've finished designing the majority of the custom environments in Chapter 7. Most of the scenes now use custom environments, and they take an annoyingly large amount of time to create!

Looking forward to getting it out to you ASAP!

New additions to the family!

Let me introduce everyone to the official cats of Between Two Worlds. Ray (black kitty) and Billie. As you can see, they have claimed ownership of my bed. Guess I'll be sleeping on the couch from now on.

I adopted them today. Wasn't a hard choice. It's almost impossible to find a quality home that is good for a blind animal, and since I am home 24/7 thanks to my work on BTW, I can provide that safe and calm forever home!

Hey everyone! It's that time for a dev update! But, rather than doing a bunch of numbers of such, I decided I want to be more community forward. So as a result, I've decided to do a livestream on Twitch (and maybe Youtube)!

Website issue is resolved...kinda

Hello everyone. Those of you who are active on Discord already know about this somewhat. A couple days ago, the hard drive in my webserver decided that it was time to retire. Unfortunately, it did this without the usual two week notice. Annoying, but fine, I get it. Anyway, the hard drive has been put to pasture.

I contacted the technicians in the datacenter to get the drive replaced. They did so. And it only took about 30 hours... to replace a standard run of the mill hard drive. Probl...

Chapter 7 roadmap is now complete!

Hello everyone! The Trello for Chapter 7 is now available for everyone. As you can see, there is quite a bit of branching that will happen in the next chapter. Every scene with an "a" or "b" is a path based on your previous decisions. These are not scenes with small changes, but drastically different story line paths. I hope you've started making use of the ability to name your save files! (You can enable this in the preferences menu!)

There will be another update later to include 5 and 6, and I hope to have animations in the gallery with Chapter 7. Question for the players!

Hello everyone! Part of the Chapter 6 changes includes the addition of a new gallery system. Every scene in the game will have a special, unique render associated with it. These will be directly related to the scene, so don't expect a bunch of nekkid renders, unless it's a nekkid scene!

Anyway, question! Would you prefer to be notified when a gallery image unlocks (roughly at the end of each scene), or would you prefer the unlocks to be "silent", and simply happen in the background?

Final Dev Update - Chapter 6

Hello everyone! The time is almost upon us, and I'm incredibly excited. So many things are happening all at the same time. I'm working like crazy to get this thing done as quickly as possible, but without sacrificing quality. So, what do we have to look forward to? Well, let's cover some points!

Hey everyone! This is the final special render I'll be doing before Chapter 6 is released. That's right, it's coming! I finished the writing last night and it has been checked for errors by the beta team. The translators have it now, and I'm working day and night to get the renders done.
