Silicone Shenanigans

Small experiment I wanted to try because, while it’s too cold to make anything with resin, I can experiment with silicone. If I can find a mini crockpot at a thrift store then I can make a quick soap.

It was harder to get the egg out than I thought it would be, so I have to find a better bottle for the entrance. And find my good knife.

Stay tuned for part 2 when I find a better cup and try something else with the egg. 🥚

November Weirdness

Good morning everyone,

November is off to a weird start for me. My half-grandparent died this week Sunday night. This wasn't news I was going to share originally to avoid para-social shenanigans, but I was asked to spend Friday & Saturday night at my other parent's home this week. 😐 I'm guessing that, because I'm a half child who has been away for 10+ years until recently, it would be awkward for everyone to be around family I've never met who will visit to mourn.

Finished this page pretty early. Yay! I'll just take a break and then get back to catching up on the Patreon sketches. Tomorrow might be busy, I have to wait and see how my family member is feeling because they were sick when I called yesterday, but they might need my help tomorrow if they're better by then.

Idea for Patreon Quickies: Once a Week?

Some of you might remember those quick comics I've made a couple of times that are of characters voted for by the Patrons. I thought of this while walking today: what if there was one week of the month, preferably the first week of each month, where I draw a quick comic instead of working on a main story comic for that week? I guess the con would be that stories would run more slowly, but maybe this could be a temporary. I figured this could be a good idea because it would help with burnout, ...

Apologies for the delay for page 2. Page 3 is also almost done as well, my family has just been extra demanding of my time & attention lately. I'm not sure why, they've almost been acting differently towards me after they came back from their vacation.

Apologies for the late page

A good amount of shadows is on the current page of KAE 2, but it's obviously not done yet. My family just came back from their vacation, so everyone has caught up socially now, and I no longer have to care for 10+ dogs, chickens, goats, & cats anymore. lol And I had gotten sick on Saturday, so that wasn't fun. XC

I'll show the WIPS for the next page of KAE 2 this week, as well as have the 2nd page finished, so both pages will be completed this week.

Became busy in the afternoon, but I wanted to finish up before the night ended. I put too much effort in the BG, but I'll excuse it this time since it's the first page. ;)

Yay, all done with the cover! Just going to take a break, and I'll have the sketch for page 1 hopefully done tonight.

I'm pretty happy with the colors for this cover, especially since I wasn't sure they would work at first. Not 100% happy with the highlights, but highlights have always been a weak area of mine, so they'll be toned back done on the regular pages.

I hope the rest of you are looking forward to the upcoming pages. :D 🥚

Back to regular schedule

Hey guys, sorry that last week was so sparse & spacey. There was a lot of traveling for the interview process of the new job, a terrible event occurred on Friday that made me not want to draw, and then I was asked to house-sit for a relative who I can't say no to. 😬

But I have today off, so I'll be finishing up the cover of the KAE sequel cover today, and catching up as much as I can on page 1 of said sequel. Thank you for your patience. -- 💖🐂

Lucky Seven Patreon Sketchs: August 2023

Whoo, yesterday was exhausting. I helped a bit with chickens, but honestly didn't do the hard work, but later I helped baby sit my sister's toddler kids while the work was finishing up because one of the little babies was being both rowdy and needed a nap.

I have another sketch finished up, just waiting to hear back. Please enjoy this Chocobo in the meantime.

Busy morning

Going to help my parents pluck chickens for the first time. It’s our first time doing this, and it sounds like we’ll be busy all day.

The plan is to finish up the sketches this weekend since I don’t know what my weekday plans are after Sunday.

KAE Sequel Bachelors

Me last weekend: "I'm going to make things easier for myself and give upcoming characters simpler colors."

A lot of work, but I'm feeling extra confident with this one. We have a lot of handsome boys, one lucky girl, and even a little bit of size difference. Older Patreon members may recognize these colors. ;)

Pretty satisfied with the colors here, but can be subject to change. Warmer colors made her too friendly in my opinion.

I have an interview today, so hopefully after that I'll have more time to work on the other characters. This is the first time I've had a Temp Agency pull their weight and find me interviews so quickly.

Not my favorite story I've written, but having some duds is bound to happen when you're making comic pages so quickly.


A couple of lessons I learned from finishing this one: Less colors and patterns for the characters lol. The second lesson is that I could probably push the length of these short comics. KAE & CMT were both inspired by little challenges I wanted to give myself to create comics that were 10 pages ...
