Since installing membership caps on every tier, the status of a declined member — someone occupying a tier, but who is not successfully being billed — has become relevant. Unfortunately, Patreon’s method for dealing with this is not ideal, as the only way I can remove declined members is by blocking them. However, perpetually declining members occupy space in tiers that actual patrons could be occupying, so it needs to be done.

I am seeing, somehow, 1 more Patron than I have slots, so I want to be very clear that I have met the cap as of this post.
