Soul Types

So I have been trying for a very long time to figure out how best to introduce new mechanics in the story. For the most part, I think I'm doing pretty good, but I kinda wanted to make some "lore pages" that specifically discuss certain subjects.

Do you need to read them for the story to make sense? Nope! They are their own supplemental thing. They may improve your knowledge of the world the story takes place, but they aren't in any way mandatory.

Jacqueline's Room

So this is the interior of Jacqueline's room. I choose her room because it's incredibly hard to describe in words. The 3 windows would be right where the "camera" is.

Rooms are so incredibly hard to draw oh my god. What I have done is really rough but it looks good for a concept and someone who is out of their element a bit here lol

Harpies of Pride

Someone made a comment about the harpies being a good possible gay icon since they are naturally lesbian. I know they meant in the story, but I just got this cool idea of two of them showing off the lesbian flag. I ended up adding 7 other flags because then I was thinking how cool they would look on a shirt.

At first, I wanted Dustin to look kinda plain, like an average Joe, but I think I hit that nail a little too hard on the head originally. XD

Well, I let myself lean more into his interests and background, as well as his physical state. He is the least fit out of the trio, and I wanted to show that in a few ways. He's younger, skinnier, shorter, has worse off mental health, a stutter, etc. Yet he's still able to keep up with a werewolf. ^.^

Here's the new ref for Harley. I've noticed how little I've posted art of the boys, there's literally just the ref sheets here. I have so many sketches but the events they portray haven't happened yet so I've gotta get on that XD it's also why you only get his 1 image here. Ok, these take forever to do. Not only does everything need to be lined up perfectly but the way I make them every article of clothing and such is its own layer. She's like a paper doll type thing because I want to use these to show of alt outfits and such too but wow lol it soaks up soo much time. I am proud of them though because it did force me to think about my characters from angles I normally don't and for the sake of consistency I really needed to do this anyway lol

Jody (Gesture Ref)

So yeah I've been playing with character designs and pushing proportions. I often run into the habit of "that's anatomically incorrect so don't do that," when honestly a little inaccuracy looks better to me. For example the human foot is roughly the length of the forearm but here with Jody I made her feet tiny because it helps with the childish look of a 12 year old girl.

I want to try and do more of these expression sheets that show character rather than little segments that point it ...

UPDATE To Bestiary Sheets

I'm updating the bestiary sheets. I've just made the presentation a bit cleaner and added a little bit more from my personal notes. The old sheets will be moved to the Cannon? folder because they are technically no longer relevant.

I'll get to posting those in a second. :)

Bestiary Height Chart (WIP)

I decided to add a height chart for all the Umbral beasts in the story thus far. This will grow over time as more creatures are introduced. I'm probably going to have to make a couple of these over time due to the amount of creatures  and their sizes.

Stillmore Map (WIP)

I make maps and house plans and such to help me remember where things are at when writing. A lot of them aren't the most aesthetically pleasing because they are just tools, but hey if you're interested in this type of thing then here ya go. Lol

The blocks are essentially property zones, they aren't the buildings themselves. The discolored areas on the edges of the sectors are where boarder curfew effects.

RustReaper Character Sheet

The RustReaper is a "Mind-Frame" a mech essentially. Mind-Frames are a new technology created and developed by the UEA for the purpose of catching or neutralizing Umbral creatures.

Ep 10 Update & Tiers

Yup, it's taking quite a while. This is why I said try for 1 ep a month instead of promising. While I hate that I'm making people wait I just need to get it to a point I'm happy with it. I have also fallen into the trap of working on 2 eps at the same time again. And since ep11-12 are a 2 parter the work has been all over the place. Progress is being made tho!
