Defiance

Dear Patrons,

I am sitting about 300 kilometers (190 miles, roughly the distance between New York and DC) from the border of the country that is being brutally invaded. Less than 800 kilometers away a war is raging, on a scale Europe hasn't seen since the Second World War. Innocent people are dying because of one madman.

I planned something different here for the end of the month, but I can't turn my thoughts to anything else.

A souvenir from the seaside

Danny the villager was stumped. He has witnessed several monster attacks in his life including pig-orcs, pixies and frenzy cattle, but this creature charging at him was definitely some sort of a sea devil, which was quite surprising in his mountain village. A shriek from the shadows

Chasing after the wounded orc, sargeant Krapp entered the forest. His pig-faced enemy could not be seen anywhere, everything went silent. Suddenly Krapp felt he was being watched. The inkeeper was a short, stout fellow, somewhat slow in the head. It seems the business was really run by his resourceful wife. Nobody would have guessed they once had several bounties on their heads in most of the ports of the West Coast.

Fire and shadow

Out of Hell of FDM 3D printing they come - the Devil of Stringing, the Demon of Underextrusion and the Fiend of Z-banding. 

But really, this is my take on different kinds of demonic servants - a Pit Fiend, a traditional pitchfork-holding devil and a certain popular demon of fire and shadow that definitely DID NOT have wings or horns and was much smaller than that beast from that movie (yes, I am/used to be a Tolkien orthodox).

By the waterhole

The Fountain Square attracts a number of peculiar characters. There's the elven minstrel rehearsing her songs and stories. That tall hooded creature wagging its tail is said to be an acolyte of some lizard-god cult, but he once tried to sell me an ostrich egg saying it was a dragon's, so I'd be careful. The dwarf  blackmith's shop is in another district, but he somehow appears by the fountain whenever the elf minstrel is here. And see that horned one sneaking by? I call her "thiefling", ...
