Phone Call Episode Discussion

We took a different approach to holiday themed episodes this year.  Instead of maybe being one episode, this year we've made them week long events to have more fun storytelling.  This episode starts the week long event that is for Thanksgiving 2020.  2020 has been a difficult year to say the least, so we wanted to bring some wholesome-feel-good-ness to everyone this week.  What kind of shenanigans will happen to the characters?  A lot.

Remember when we asked everyone what his name should be?  We are still leaning towards Gray for some reason... Touched By A Dragon Episode Discussion

Glass blowing!  Yes, that was a thing Spike used to do in this comic series, and we decided to bring it up again just for kicks n' giggles.  Sort of poked fun and asked the question of how did he even do it in the past?  

The title was stupidly a reference to a 90s drama I never watched, "Touched by an Angel."  Yes indeed.... quality names here, lol.

Home Brew Episode Discussion

It wouldn't be one big happy without Lily making an appearance!  If her little dragon isn't well, she's gonna come bearing remedies! We've Been Investing Time...

We've been investing a decent amount of time recently on making SET backgrounds for certain areas in the series.  We in the past hand drew everything, including rooms that were common in the series such as Spike's room or the kitchen in Twilight's house.  The uniformity is never there as it changes on a whim... only the colors remain the same.  So we've been investing in making a "Set Bible" as we call it.  It has scenes from several characters and their rooms and importan...

Buttered Up Episode Discussion

This episode is based on a true story... and then loosely molded into something completely different!  *Puts small radio in my ear*  <---Really bad reference...sorry....

So how it really went down is a friend pretty much dared themselves that they could drink several ounces of melted butter.  We told them not to, but they felt like they had to for some reason.  They did.  Let's just say they ended up like our beloved characters in the last panel.

We Added The Wings!

Like you had said, we added the wings and we did give his model some more muscles... which of course are blocked in this image, but you get a rough idea.  This is a "rough" scene that will be coming in a future episode.  Some details are done, but most of it is pretty bare still.

Does This Work?

Does this make you think it's Bulk Biceps?  We needed him for a future episode and have never drawn him before.  This is one of the versions and my personal favorite.  Do you think this looks enough like him and matches our series drawing style? If not/if so, what would you change?  Do we really need those big balloon muscles?

Cheerilee, Berry Punch, & Zephyr Breeze Explained

You ever do something then wonder what the impact of that was later?  The closest example to what this comic is trying to portray is maybe how a teacher teaches kids and tries to set a good example to their class.  They won't know the impact they make most likely as those students grow up and go their separate ways.  But the teacher of course wants to hope they made a good impact.

Zephyr here has made some questionable choices, while not the best, they ended up being a go...

Spider Comes Homes Episode Discussion

Sometimes you have to let artists go unrestrained and release all their pent up feelings... that is what this comic does for the artists, and quite possibly a writer... maybe a fanbase?  Is this just glorified fan-service.... Pungkin Episode Discussion

Daily Schedules Episode Discussion

This episode sets up a little over a week's worth of comic's as we will visit every character as they go about their day.  This year instead of a singly "Halloween" themed episode, we decided to stretch it out for little over a week.  Nothing overtly Halloweeny, but certainly fall related.

It also painted a good bit of home life for the characters when we aren't watching them through our omni-present lens.

And part two of Adorkable Twilight and Lawrence.  This comic earned MINI MEME status with people taking Twilight's expression in panel four and changing the text, often to be unsavory.  So we had a few moments of fame!  

This episode honestly took off to being a lot more popular than I ever expected it to be.  Then again, this is just more evidence we have no idea what people like, lol!

Adapting To Nature Episode Discussion

Light And Renewed Episode Discussion

Had no real joke for this.  I just wanted and excuse to have some autumn leaves and show some other characters in the background.  Have a lovely Monday everyone!

In panel 3, no one noticed the poorly drawn picture in the background.  That was actually based on a painting you can place on Minecraft of the girl holding a picture of a pig's head.  I know, such classy references no one gets. :D It's what we do best!
