Hi.

This image is from eight days ago; my last day in Jersey, saying goodbye to my grandfather.

He is now in the hospital. So please keep him in your thoughts. It is very difficult for me to be on the other side of the country during this time.

Aside from having my grandfather in the back of my mind, my California tour has been productive and fulfilling. I posed for many beautiful images, ate some beautiful meals, and met some beautiful new friends.

This is the same location we are traveling to today, but will not be part of the series to be shown at The Westons. 

This was the last shoot of the day. My energy had suddenly taken a significant nose dive, and we had simultaneously lost the light. I was on my lady holiday, so this was a very appropriate final image.

I made it to California, and my luggage made it too, finally! 

Today, I am shooting with Amr and Craig in this beautiful location, seen above.

Happy Easter (or Passover!)

Remember when I was having trouble posting to Tumblr a week ago? Well, that post is now (FINALLY) live on Tumblr.

Day after tomorrow, I am flying to California to begin my month long tour, which ultimately has me ending up in Moab, for The Desert Adventure.

This morning, Steven Solheim visited me at my little house, and in between very thorough discussions about life, language, philosophy, folk music and literature, we made some lovely images in the natural light. 

It was a delight to collaborate and share with another deep thinking human.

Hello all;

So, I have been trying to upload 3 posts to Tumblr for the last 4 days, and I simply cannot get them to load. I have this issue far too often, and especially while I'm in Moab, (sub-optimal wifi signal) but I don't know a better alternative. Open to suggestions, please!

I am so sorry that I haven't been able to share with you. I will be sharing a ton as soon as I can get the content to POST. Any image loading basically freezes Tumblr solid.

As of today, I have officially finished writing and revising the literature for my third book;

Tuolumne Nudes: Musings of a Muse. 

This book is comprised of 32 pages, and includes images photographed by Allyn Saroyan during a 5 day photographic trip to Tuolumne Meadows, and four powerful poems, all inspired in part by my experience in Yosemite.

My sincerest apologies for going dark.

I was in Mexico for five days, and for an 'all-inclusive resort,' I certainly did not expect the wifi (available for an additional charge) to be basically non existent.

But if I'm being honest, it was an added luxury not to have a working cellphone.

This was the first trip in a long time that did not involve work at all. It was also probably the most expensive trip I have ever taken for myself.

As I work on 'The Notion of Home,' another aside;

Wading in a Woodstock waterfall with my beautiful friend, Nala. Shot 3-4 years ago by Photosensualis. This was such a warm and wonderful day (aside from Nala lying down in stinging nettle). Whenever Nala and I are together, there is an enormous amount of giggling going on. 

Today is a dreary winter day in Jersey, so I will think about crisp cedar water on a hot July day.

Deviation

While I continue to compose 'A Notion of Home,' here is a brief and fleeting daydream of a sunny moment in the eye of a pretty treacherous hurricane, about 1.5 years ago along the Florida gulf.

Looking forward to returning here to do some more work with Photosensualis in just about two weeks.

It has been a cold winter.
