Well, I did a bad and deleted the local copy of the image database. Because of how iqdb works, the database is still running and can be searched on https://beta.kheina.com (you can actually go here any time the website is down) but the file itself is gone and unrecoverable.

kheina.com has moved from amazon web services to google cloud platform. This is why the website was down for a few days a couple weeks ago, but with this move come a lot of perks, the most important being the logging and analytics that are built into gcp. With these tools, I'm able to keep an eye on searches, errors, indexing status, database updates, and more and quickly determine if and when something goes wrong.
