After requests to open up Patreon for people who weren't comfortable with Pixiv, I've decided to accept the free money being offered to me. Things will continue as they were, with early comic posting, and monthly sketch polls (only now they'll be shared in a strawpoll with Pixiv supporters).

I've given it a lot of thought now, and have decided to move to Pixiv Fanbox. I don't believe that I can support Patreon in light of recent events and their unwillingness to host occasionally transgressive and "edgy" content. In that same manner, it's easy to envision the moment when the Patreon staff will approach me about self-censoring either the topics I choose or such and such. Hold Off on Patreon For a Bit
I don't think that I feel comfortable using a service that clearly takes steps to rob creative rights from artists for wrongthink. I'm not sure if this will ultimately lead me to an alternate provider (I'm considering starting a pixiv fanbox or a subscribestar.
If you're not up to date, they've been going after what creators such as EIGAKA, Krekkov, and SineSian can post off of Patreon. They have also gone as far as to claim they own creative rights to content posted on Patreon.
