Again, if you guys want to create an image kind of like this, make sure you separate your focus and background distinctly! Light everything separately if you are able to!

I need to get back into tips and tricks for all of you guys, or at least things I do/like to see in my own work.
If you notice, I love separating my focus from my backgrounds, not for bokeh or anything of that sort but because I was never a fan of subject shadows on backgrounds.
They work very well for somethings, like black and white ...

It's almost always a beach day out here in Cali because the sun just WON'T STOP >;[
But still, good friends and good t imes :]
We just went out to Point Dume early in the morning and basically had the place to ourselves with a nice overcast so no burning!
No use of anything else like strobes or even a reflector, we just went out and had fun to grab some nice natural shots! These were done on my Canon 5DSR :]

Kickstarter was fully funded today with ONE DAY LEFT TO GO! Close call but made it haha <3
The pics are sample molds I had the manufacturer make to show people who pledged! They aren't done and those molds aren't on the correct metals or cleaned up, it is just to show how the designs translated into a 3d pin!

This really was probably one of my favorite shoots that I have done with HendoArt! It took a lot of TIME AND WORK but so worth.

I don't get to work with Poh as often because she's so busy but we create some glam stuff together :P
Poh and the background had their own controlled light sources to get this effect and I shot it around an f2.5 if it were done on a full frame!

Hope you guys enjoy this composite shot of Dade Elza as Green Lantern! Shot a couple different poses in studio and then chose 2 that fit the best for this!
Remember when shooting for composites, shoot against a background color that reflects what you are going for! IE, black seamless for a dark bg, white for bright like skies and what not, etc etc. It makes for easier blending when you are ready to composite!

The first one is AprilStar Cosplay as 2B! The outfit was originally made and worn by our own studio family member, Akemi!
The second image is of KeltonFX! He did a twist and made a genderbend Poison Ivy mixed with some Japanese style! He is also a great FX artist who did all his own makeup and made his outfit and props!
All of the images were shot at the convention center, in the dang parking garage because we were all kicked out of our usual spots because security was going...

Haven't done a fantasy series in a long while so I'm really glad I was able to do this with friends this past weekend!
Did all of the portraits against a canvas backdrop to give it more of that old timey regal feeling haha. Plus it just gives the right vibes when you add a little bit of light to it, textures and all :]
