So this file was a bit challenging, the amount of layers that went into it was ridiculous, and it even crashed my Photoshop a couple times, I merged a lot of elements together to make it manageable and keep the different parts in their separated layer, grouped in the folder named "Stuff" Logan is also in his separate layer and also is the body hair.

Honestly the entire piece is so satisfying to me, it looks exactly as I imagined it, and that doesn't happen often, a lot of times I'm figuring things out as I go, even if I have a clear idea to begin with, sometimes the process takes things in a different direction and when I finish I'm like: Oh I see, so this is it. LOL

I included the hairless version at the end, is not super smooth cause I did the shading minding the body ...

Surprise! I Couldn't stop myself and I made a lot of separated parts, all the devices, wires, straps etc. So I have all these different versions. Yeah I think I overdid this 😅 Or is just that my coloring is getting too elaborated and it requires more time. Anyway, I think is one of the coolest portraits I've ever made! WYT?

Hello friends! I'm finally done with this illustration!!!! Oh boy I really bit more than I could chew this time 😆😆😆

I started to work on this back in January, thinking it could be a great way to merge both the movie and comics versions together. I love the classic Weapon X comics and I was a little underwhelmed with the movie adaptation.

So I started to work on the face and once it was looking right I developed the concept and the gadgets, and the helmet, and slowly it be...

Superman Commission 2018

Now this is a throwback!.. A commission from 2018, only the second time I drew Henry Cavill and Oh boy it shows! I can't believe how minimalist my rendering was, you can see a lot of large, flat areas, and that body hair is ridiculous 😆😆😆 I still love it for what it is, and it triggered a long run of Superman portraits that really helped me become better and better throughout the years ☺️💜

Oh yeah, the body hair was still an issue back then, you can barely see it in the colored version... I'm glad I fixed that now 😅

This was a very popular illustration back in 2020 and people always ask me about it, I know Supes is a fan favorite and this was my attempt to materialize the collective fantasy in it's full glory 😅

Looking back I think he looks a bit thin... but I stil LOVE the half grown beard, I think he looks so hot, and of course... the all mighty pole 😆😆😆

Weapon X Logan - WIP

Hello friends! I'm super excited about this illustration, but unfortunately I'm being awfully slowed down by work and other things happening with the family, I don't wanna spoil the surprise too much and I feel super guilty for not posting anything new yet 😣😣😣

So I will post a throwback illustration today to make it up to you and hopefully in the Easter weekend I'll be able to power through the last bit of the Logan portrait... I refuse to ruin it by rushing the final details, ...

I found the past portraits I made in 2018 and 2020 and.. I'm a little shocked to find them so different, I mean yes the techniques improve over the years, but also, they look very different, or am I crazy? 😆😆😆

Every time I thought the face was right and now I'm not sure which one is more accurate.

I think blue is such a good color for blondes, and this mid tone, powder blue works great with Thor's tan, I also tried a pink BG but it looked super weird, I think I'm finally getting over the color pink 😅

Coloring Thor's Hair

I kinda divided this process in 3 steps: Shading, Highlights and heightening, I also blend some color samples from the skin into the roots of the hair for a natural transition.

Once again I take advantage of the beard to divide the face in smaller areas that are much easier to render one by one. This time I understand his face a little better so I added the hard side light in the end... it looks more "movie poster" like that.

I wasn't sure about the swimsuit... I want to diversify the undergarments cause I always do Jocks or briefs, and I like the pants he's wearing in the movies so I kinda adapted them into trunks. 😅

This is my third time drawing Thor and I think is my favorite! and I'm very pleased with the hands 😋 I really liked this way of inking the veins, usually I make longer lines but this looks more natural I think.

Of course I gave him a nice big hammer LOL and the scar on the face that maybe could be more obvious? and the bionic eye that Rocket gave him. I thought that friendship was super cute, I still giggle about Thor calling Rocket "sweet rabbit".

For the background I started adorning a simple structure with some Celtic knots, but it was looking too Irish (Happy St. Paddy's day) so I added the lighting thunders and outer space background and suddenly it was looking really cool. WYT?
