I finally finished this new portrait and I'm super happy with it 😁I've been trying to add Spidey to my Marvel fanarts for a while, and I was struggling to get the likeness right... it's always the one you expect to be the easiest the one that turns out to be a headache 😂😂😂

Looking back at it, maybe I could have make him a little, ahem... Bigger, I think I wanted him to be anatomically correct and I was still not very good at drawing all body parts so I kept it kinda modest 😅I still like it but I've gained a new appreciation for more stylised anatomies... Maybe is the "Class Comics Effect" 

Kratos Revisited (Throwback Doodle)

Hello friends, I hope you're having a great friday, today I want to show you this revision I made of a Commission from 2019, I really like this Kratos portrait but the body hair was bothering me, so I updated it with the new body hair technique and I really like it! I also tweaked the lighting a little bit and added just a little bit more texture.

I think it stills holds up and with the new fur he looks extra yummy LOL WYT?

Fun fact... I started this illustration before the Venom one, then I got stock mid inking, I tried another pose that I liked better, and then another one, it was too messy to make sense to me so I putted it to a side and moved on to Eddie... Well I'm back and making some really good progress 😉

I used some old reference photos of Tom Hardy and tried to update him to reflect his current age and the roughed up look of the Movie, so I started with a bit of a heavy hand with the wrinkles, dark circles and texture that I smoothed out later.

I did it! I couldn't help to make some undies for Eddie, I want to include a SFW version for those of you who want to have it as a screensaver LOL.

I'm sorry that it took me so long, my day job has been extra demanding lately, and as always I've been a little too ambitious with this project... Honestly I think is taking me longer and longer to finish each new illustration, and for some reason I'm ok with that, I feel that the main reason why I get this results it's because I don't rush ...

Venom Isolated PSD File

In this version I was able to keep more separate layers of Eddie and Venom... Also you can see the way I make the tattoos blend into the skin and the shading and layering of the body hair.

Venom Background Design

My latest favorite style is: Simple Art-Nouveau structure with a lot of texture I added some outer space images cause Alien Symbiont and a dark and messy base to compliment Venom's look.

Eddie / Venom - Isolated Alts

So I made two versions with Venom crawling up Eddie's body, One was going to be for the undies version, but I just can't wait any longer and my sketchual this months is crazy, so focused on finishing the background and if I have a couple hours available next week I'll make him some sexy boxers... I think Eddie is a Boxer kinda guy. 

Eddie / Venom - Lines

The thing about venom in the comics is that there's reason to it's chaos, and I love how the movie got it right. I also like Eddie's rough up appearance and how they didn't made him a douchebag like in the Sam Raimi version... The plot line however is... not my favorite, and the photography is a little too messy for my taste, but hey, I'm not a movie critic 😂😂😂 I just like to draw sexy guys!

I really like the contrast of Venom's chaotic silhouette and the Geometric Art-Nouveau background, and I wasn't sure about the tattoos, but after I finished coloring the skin, he looked incomplete so I went back to draw them and fortunately there's plenty of photos online, I just couldn't find any good references for the lower belly tattoo, I think is the newest so I just made a scribble 😅

I went a little overboard with the details on this one so I couldn't keep a lot of layers in the 200 MB file limit. I think I'll be uploading a second PSD file with eddie alone, and maybe another one for the background... Meanwhile I managed to keep the tattoos, body hair, Eddie and Venom all in separate layers so that's good right 😅

To be totally honest, I don't love the Venom movie LOL, but I think the best thing about it is the casting of Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock... I did some extensive research (ahem) to include as many tattoos as possible, and to depict his physique in a flattering yet possible way 😅

Hello friends! sorry I've been a little absent lately but I finally finished this new portrait.

I was going to make a SFW version... I might still add some undies later, but for now I just want all of you to see this 🥰🥰🥰

Believe it or not, I have never draw venom before in my entire life!, which is a little strange considering how much I love Spider-Man comics, I even have the first Venom miniseries and the compilations... I was looking some sketches for an upcoming Spide...

Hi Friends happy friday! Just wanted to share a couple previews of the new portrait for September, I'm very excited about this one cause it's been in the making for a long time but it finally started to look good 😅I was inspired by a couple comics and I'm so happy it's coming together at the same time the trailer for the new Venom movie dropped... Deimos Background Full

Originally I wanted to have Deimos kneeling in the floor, in the middle of a ceremonial circle, But I just couldn't get the perspective right so I changed it 

I just wanted to make sure we have a clear sight of his face and huge dong.. and I wanted him to look sexy, like maybe he's restrained, maybe he's just flexing, so I focused on him first and built the background after, I still used the circle design but in a different way.

Deimos Background

I designed the background based on some occultist illustrations combined with my favorite Art-Nouveau style. The palette compliments Deimos skin color, and the green accents make reference to the art inside the pages.

Coloring Deimos - Chest and Highlights

I don't work on purple skin that often 😅so I waited to have the chest done before adding the highlights and light reflections, I wanted to make sure the colors I picked would work for both the face and the body... you can see a few samples I kept handy during the process.

After I'm done shading the face I move down to the neck and sometimes even the chest, before adding the highlights.. I feel that I get a more even end result like this, and I get a better balance with the light reflection.

Once again I started shading the eyes and move my way down the nose and cheeks... for this purple skin I added a few pink highlights to add more vibrancy and make it look more alive, if I just make the purple lighter, it would look a little zombie-ish. I also made the nose and cheeks more magenta to mimic blood flow in those areas.

I had to shove this project in between other illustrations I was already making so I had to find ways to save time, the body hair is always a tricky part for me so I dared to render it with a Photoshop brush entirely... it still not perfect but I think it looks really nice and it was so much faster than any of my other techniques. The Text in the background is a Chant to Cthulhu I got from the Lovecraft books.
