Paddy Background
Very proud of this one, I love this style and I learned a lot by making this, now that I've deciphered the composition I'll be exploring it more.

When I was doing my research (ahem.. research) for this drawing, I was very tempted to draw his front side... cause you know, is really good, but my love for butts took over again lol

I totally forgot to show you all the finished version π I'm sorry...
Please remember, when it's a commission I will only post some JPEGs and maybe progress shots. But the Full size PSD files are for the person that commissioned it only.

I will have this yellow frame on all the Photoshop and Illustrator files from now, so we can easily recognize them... I tried to keep as many layers as possible without exceeding the 200 MB limit, in this one I managed to keep some interesting adjustment layers, so have a look!

Finished! January's featured illustration is this portrait of Paddy O'Brian, I finally build up the nerve to tackle this background style, I always loved these fluid, floral elements that Alphonse Mucha was so famous for, and I think this subject is perfect for it.
Once again I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and decided to draw the body hair manually to achieve a subtle, natural effect... WYT?

Edit: model is Saul Harris
The first figurine of 2020, trying a new approach I hope you like it. Based on a fairly popular image, unfortunately I couldn't find information on the model... if any of you know his name please let me know π

Is so interesting to see how my style changes over the years, at the time, this was one of the most ambitious illustrations I've made, I remember it took for ever! and the file was so large that it crashed Photoshop twice lol

A classic Holiday Doodle, I made this for Class Comics a couple years ago, and still one of my favorite drawings... Featuring Naked Justice and Zahn
Happy Holidays!!!

Wanted to show you this, one of the nicest inking jobs I've done in a while. And this background is kinda simple, but after adding all the textures looks pretty cool.

Finished piece, always a pleasure to draw Cap Rogers, this time in his tighty whities and clean shaven like in the first film. Now... I love bearded Cap, but this face really makes me break a sweat... I definitively will be revisiting this subject next year πππ

This month I'm sharing some tips and tricks I've learned about selection tools, a very important part of my coloring process.

Biceps are always nice to paint, I use some soft shading and then a very defined highlight, that makes the skin appear tight and shinny; I also added a soft RED hue to the under side of the arms, so they won't look muted once the red gear goes on.

The beauty of the harness... it made coloring so much easier, since the body is already divided.
I already knew he was going to be hairy, so I used some ashy shadows on the chest.

I really liked this new way to color the beard, and it was relatively fast, of course is not meant to look realistic, but I feel like I learned something... also, if you're making the beard lighter like this one, try to punch up the highlights of the skin, or it will look dull.

Remember that scene, when he leaves the transformation chamber... I love that part

High resolution brush set, very pretty, but sometimes I feel like I don't even use them that much, maybe you will... I got these many years ago and now I'm passing them to you, use them wisely ππ

Thank you for sticking with me through this first year; This project turned out very useful, I set myself the goal to reduce the time I spend on portraits, sometimes I feel like I'm over-rendering the skin too much, and the piece looses the "drawing" feel.
Through these figurines I'm learning to be more effective and less obsessive. Next year I'll try a new approach.

This is a classic Art-nouveau design, I think it suits the holiday theme perfectly, is inspired in the cover of "Documents DΓ©coratives" by Alphonse Mucha.

I have a confession to make, not all my drawings turn me on; but this one is really doing it for me, maybe is the bondage gear, should I go a little more bondage from now on?

Finished illustration, I hope you like it, it was a fun experiment with a lot of my favorite things, muscles, tattoos, a boner escaping the jockstrap... and there are some subtle references in the tattoos, who can tell them all?
No alternative versions this time, I love the peekaboo dick and the red leather gear π ππ
Edit: Bringing it back for the holidays 2022, enjoy π

Lots of experimentation on this one, I tried a new technique for the beard, the body hair, and the fur on the gloves, hat, etc. I'm still not sure how I get to this result but I really like it lol.

Now, it has come to my attention that some people prefer getting the conten...
