I took this project as a chance to stir away from the art-nouveau style, and I went a little for the Quantumania poster style, I give Scott some lovely Pym undies and a nice generous boner LOL I know he's hairier irl but I personally like him smooth 😋 sorry.

Namor / Kukulcán - Background

I've had this photo of the Mayan calendar since forever and I immediately thought of using it for Namor, but I also wanted to use my favorite Art-Nouveau style, so I made a 2D layout of Namor's headdress and some Rococo ornaments, which in paper sounds weird, but they look great together ☺️☺️☺️

I did get a little nervous when I was inking this portrait cause his face is kinda tricky, not a lot of bone structure showing so the nose and the eyes are the main references, and as you can see I added a lot of lines around the eyes to guide me during the coloring process.

It was a lot of fun to draw all those details on the outfit, but coloring them... not so much 😅😅😅 but I don't know when I'll get to do this again so I wanted to try my very best to get it right and as close to the movie as possible... oh and look at that big uncut dick LOL

Tah-dah!!! I mean he is a godlike mutant Aqua Papi, so, you know... he must be pretty big 😆😆😆

I kept the anatomical features true to the Mesoamerican male, and the halftone beard is back but in a subtle way (I think I finally mastered it) for the backgorund I combined my favorite Art-Nouveau style with Mayan sculptures and the golden serpent headdress from the movie.

I almost regret adding so much detail but it was so worth the effort, I'm super happy with the final resul...

I'm making great progress on the Namor portrait, the chest piece has so much detail is taking forever 😅😅😅 anyway I wanted to give you a little preview, I still want to go back and sharpen the highlights a little, but I'm loving this brown skin, and wait until you see his mighty "Feathered Serpent" LOL

A version without the background, I'm very happy with this luscious red skin, and the pants turned out pretty nice, I'm secretly proud of the rosary cause it was a lot easier than I expected and is very effective ☺️☺️☺️

at the very end of the highlighting process I add a little more contrast especially around the sides, the rim light helps a lot with the 3d effect.

It was fun color red skin, I kept the shadows very soft at first to avoid over doing them, as I moved further I darkened some areas and the real impact comes with the highlights, Hellboy has very shinny skin, almost oily looking so I push the highlights all the way up at the end.

I love the fact that my usual Art-nouveau style goes so well with the occultist, demonic vibe of the character, I kept the palette dark and moody, and then added the fire textures for a bright contrast. I made a vector file of this and the Hellboy lines for the My People! tier 😉

I was considering doing some silly kind of underwear like I do with some superheroes, but the actual outfit from the movie is so badass I couldn't leave it out, also I always struggled drawing leather pants so I took the opportunity to practice, and they came up pretty nice.

I really liked Guillermo de Toro's adaptation of the character and I remember thinking it was super cool when the first movie came out, cut to adult me re watching it and I was like: wait... is Hellboy hot? 😆😆😆 maybe is my twisted mind IDK, but I didn't wanna miss the chance to push that idea out my head through this drawing. Fun fact: the shaved down horns look like tomato slices LOL

After much thought and consideration, I decided to keep the peepee somewhat human, even when a huge demon dick would've make sense, this looks sexier to me 😅 I hope you share that feeling.

It was interesting to work on red skin, I learned that I have to keep it a lot less saturated than I thought, and I actually used black for the shadows which almost never happens, oh and look at the background! is classic fuhrerdoodles and I really like it 🥰🥰🥰

is my personal rendition of Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy, played by Ron Perlman, which is my favorite movie adaptation, I love David Harbour too, but that last movie was... not very inspiring LOL
