The first four in a collection of dragon drawings I am working on! I have four more planned to complete the set. For each image, the dragons are based on different animals and the characters fight with different weapons.

Sometimes people ask me to sell a collected artbook of my shadowhunter works and believe me, I’ve looked into it! But, because my name has been attached in an official capacity to the Shadowhunter Chronicles then there would be legal issues if I did that. A lot of my drawings were officially commissioned by CC and even the ones that weren’t are I think are considered official by fans.

Why call it an AU when you can call it reincarnation???
Alexander and Theodore would fall in love every time. Despite drawing digitally, I tend not to use most of the tools a digital program allows me. All of the tiles in that first image were hand drawn rather than copy/pasted. I just enjoy all the wobbly, crooked faults and innacurate perspectives my human brain leaves behind on the page. I draw at a huge file size so when you zoom out things look smoother than they are.

This one ended up becoming one of my most popular pieces. I think people just love water.
As silly as it sounds, coloring this one was hard for me because I don’t usually draw scenes that take place in broad daylight. I usually prefer to lean towards darker or semi-monochromatic mood lighting. But when a scene is dead smack in the middle of a sunny day, then there are more colors. I love gigantic, looming animals. Are they dangerous or are they just passing by?
Night/dimly lit scenes are my favorite to illustrate because each light source is so important and you can have a lot of fun highlighting and drawing the eye to certain parts of the picture. When it’s a dim scene, lighting becomes part of the composition.

I live in a place where, every time you approach a body of water you have to check it for alligators first before you get too comfortable.
I have been able to hold young alligators a few times before and one time held an alligator so that Yoshitaka Amano could touch it and see how it felt! He later drew some of them.

A wallpaper of Clay for anyone to use for the holidays! I know he hasn’t shown up in the comic yet but soon he will! And I think he will be a favorite. Everyone loves a himbo, right?
When you set the wallpaper dont forget to pinch the image to size it right, it should line up just right so that no busy patterns overlap with where there would be text / numbers on your phone’s screen. At least for iphones.

Yet more tigers, I know! Dangerous creatures interacting peacefully with humans is my favorite genre. I always think “I wish we could have this”. I want to take walks with untamed tigers and take naps on grizzly bears. But alas 💦

Tigers are my favorite. I love drawing them, looking at them, taking pictures of them and they are often in my dreams! Once, I was even able to touch a young tiger (bless🧡)
These characters Samir and Vitya are like a tiger and a rabbit. 2022 was Samir’s year but 2023 will belong to Vitya!

I drew these images years apart but surprisingly their story is connected. A part of me never wants to fully explain the stories in the scenes I draw though. I hope that they inspire people’s imaginations and they come up with stories of their own.
I want every illustration to make people think “what is happening here?” And to decide what came before and after the scene they see.

1st drawing in this set is the very first time I drew in this style! The complete satisfaction and pride I felt after finishing it really is what made me continue full illustrations like these. It took time and effort but there is something very relaxing about drawing tiny details and taking my time with a drawing instead of pumping out a bunch of character portraits.

I have been playing FFXIV since the ARR beta so its been a long time! I made a small handful of friends back in beta and I have been playing with them ever since… the game really has been a constant joy for me.
The first two images were drawings I entered into Fanfest contests. The ARR drawing won a prize! I did drawings for ARR, Shadowbringers and Endwalker. But I should draw Heavensward and Stormblood images sometime to complete the set.

I never liked drawing kisses. Ever. They’re hard to draw just right and someone’s face will always be hidden. I always preferred drawing the more intimate moments of almost kisses. When people lean close but haven’t quite touched yet.
It tells more of a story to have something almost happening in a picture instead of actively showing it. It lets the viewer finish the sentence in their head, if you know what I mean?

The first one is still one of my favorite drawings I have done. I am just so satisfied with the stone details and colors. Sometimes an image comes together exactly how you imagined it and nothing is more pleasing. I’ll use it as a phone wallpaper sometimes to remind me to like my own art.
