May 2025 stickers (timelapse part 1)

First part of this month's sticker rewards I finished earlier this week! :) More to come tomorrow, as well as some icon timelapses.

Still picking up from where I left due to my latest cold but I hope you don't mind a LONG timelapse this time! This is a sticker set I worked on last month. I'm already excited to open some new slots for them once I have finished everything on my waitlist 👀

Sketches!

I wish I had more to share but due to the cold I caught these are the projects I'm working on at the moment. However I'm having a lot of fun with all of these and can't wait to start working on even more stuff now that I have recovered! ^^ For starters, here's a modified sketch of the recent YCH, followed by wips for icon commissions and a couple of reference sheets!

Continuing with these icon timelapses before a bunch of sketches that I will finish and post tomorrow! I once again caught a cold and have been trying to beat it for the better part of this week. Finally succeeding in it so I'm focusing my energy on catching up with work on full force!

Icon commission from April! Really loved working on the soft colors and I have started to feel much more confident about working with palettes like this! I feel like the atmosphere is so specific that it's hard to get it looking just right, but I always enjoy the process and the learning included in it.

Spring chores (timelapse)

I already posted the final version of this earlier but thought a timelapse would be fun to share as well as it's something different from what I usually do! I have been enjoying using a binary pencil for loose sketches and other work like this and having a lot of fun with it. At the same time it's very unforgiving but then again it keeps me from polishing things forever and forced me to leave some rough edges.

A very cozy icon commission from last month! I have noticed that the clearer my vision of the desired outcome is, the more stages of trial and error it takes me to get there - but honestly that is a huge part of the fun!

Chibi art and icon sketches!

Or in other words a peek at what I have been working on lately! The first chibi sketch is actually a personal character I have been working on for myself so expect to see more of him! Somehow when I should be repotting my plants, suddenly drawing myself doing exactly that feels like a better idea.

The other chibi illustration is a gift for a friend and the sketches are for the icon batch I have been working on! :)

Another icon commission from last month! Soft colors are always somewhat challenging as I find myself spending a lot of time finding the balance between neutral and vibrant tones, but that kind of problem solving is honestly one of the best parts of this job! 😊💛

Speaking of icons, I will be opening slots for a batch next week! I have been improving my workflow in terms of coloring and can't wait to put that to use. I'll be on a mini vacation over the weekend so I'll keep you updat...

Step-by-step of this icon commission because I think this demonstrates well how I approach atmospheric lighting! It's a very straightforward process without any fancy secrets but I think it's just fun to see how big of a difference a little bit of light warm orange to transparent gradient can make.
