BW vs Color

You'll be seeing more of these images. I am only practicing this editing style until I get an awesome shot. This picture isn't awesome yet. I don't like the background and I will use a different chair, that's easier to edit out of the picture, next time. 

I like my pose, only my neck should be longer and arms more relaxed.

I like the idea of the first photo, but I wasn't quite happy with the field location. The grass wasn't smooth and I was hoping for more fall tree colors. I will also try a better angle... the straight on angle is too snap-shot for me. 

I am going to do all these ideas again....

Lately I have been enjoying posting big sets on Instagram, hoping for a feature. Features are a great way for me to build my Patreon business. It gets my name out and if people like my art, they are drawn in, rather than me making some sales pitch.

Color vs BW

I've been editing a bunch of pictures that I like and then I wind up not being all that happy with them, but that's why I like Patreon...so I can show you all that.

This day I had rented the studio for 3 models and when I wrapped up their shoot, I had ten minutes left to squeeze out the rest of the juice. 

I was also pregnant and tried to take pictures where you couldn't tell I was pregnant, a long with my maternity photos. Sounds weird, but I just like the variety and b...

I am currently in Illinois visiting my sister. We are the total opposite. She HATES nude stuff and does not understand my art. The fact that I took this in her bathroom would probably freak her out!
I literally had 10 minutes to do a quick shoot in her bathroom while she left to get the kids from school. I asked her if I could take pictures in her bathroom when she first showed me her house... but she mentioned she'd be upset if I did nude art... 

I'm tempted to post...

I used layers to overlap the same image twice and moved the colored version slightly to the right to give it a "leaving-the-body" effect.

I've been having some fun with the costumes this October. Today I had a sweet little studio session with Emily and I invited my sister along. My little sister also really enjoys photography; I look forward to teaching her the things I know.

Thoughts on Life

I love sharing wholeheartedly what feeds my soul; what has kept me looking forward, standing strong, with grounded feet. I am not bitter anymore after being hurt and I think we all go through a bitter stage in our lives. Reading books on growth has helped me shape myself up and mature, along with mistakes in life that hardened my shell. When I contemplate my existence, I know I wasn't created to experience life like a replaying record and especially not a record that is only playing happy son...

Bourne it!

Having three kids can make things challenging, but I remind myself that if anyone can do it, it's me! Life gets hectic for everyone, even without kids. I think back to when I didn't have kids and I can honestly say that I was a lollygagger. Being a mother makes me naturally driven because I have a lot of responsibility and when I do catch a minute for myself, I am SUPER grateful. 

The past couple days were sluggish for me, but I pull myself back up and get my ball rollin...

Color vs BW

This is Emily. I've worked with her since I was a young teen! We haven't seen each other since this shoot...but we plan to get creative again in about a week. She's my favorite model and I really look forward to it every time! 

BW vs Color

It took 3 hours yesterday, to finally get a shot I approve of. I'm still unsure! 😅 I told myself that I won't post on Instagram until I'm satisfied with my picture. Thankfully I got the shots before the rain. I think it' supposed to rain for a while. Also shared my first drone #RowsonClipz on @aliceinanutshell last night, from this set. 

I'll be practicing my drone a lot more. Yesterday I was still a bit shaky, but that will pass and I can see me cocooning soon! ❤�...
