BW vs Color

I might not use this shot because you can see me holding the remote in my right hand. But I hope to get a similar shot in the future, only executed better. 

Before and After

This was my first time shooting with Alex. We've known each other for 3 years now and we went out to shoot just for fun when we took a trip with her family to Mazama. 

I hope we get to shoot more in the future!

You'll See

There are 3 images I edited and turned black and white for my next shared set. I really hope I get a feature for these. The beach in Los Cabos was perfect for this... I've been wanting to be on a nice brown sandy beach. The sand is a lot thicker there than it is in Seattle. It was a tough choice between black and white vs color, but I'll edit my favorite color one some other day. 

Mermaid & Feet

These are all just practice photos for when I get my actual underwater camera and the one I want costs about $7,000. 

It's been a nice vacation in Mexico... I got to relax plenty and enjoy delicious food. Anytime I found time to shoot, it wasn't rushed or stressful. The pool was full of people when I took these and they seemed to look a bit confused as to what I was doing, but I'm never embarrassed; I'm used to being misunderstood. 

These pictures help me see what I need...

Rattlesnake

Pictures taken by Skylight Photography. The pictures of me in the dress are gorgeous, I was so happy to see that Skyler knows his composition well! We didn't even shoot that long and the fact that he captured me so well in such little time is really awesome. These are all of the pictures he sent me and I was happy with all of them.

Rock Bottom

I wish I had more time to shoot with myself. If I didn't have kids I'd probably do that all day. I like making poses in nature and being outside. 

Sun & Moon

These are the two images I used to create the idea I had. I used the clone stamp tool in Adobe, to place the moon head on one neck. Both images had their own window open, where I then used the clone stamp tool to copy and paste into one image. Once everything was in place, my last finishing touches were to soften and get rid of obvious lines with the healing brush tool.

Just Beachy

My friend Nisja and I met up at "our spot" in Kingston today and had a great time creating. She knows that I'm always in the mood to shoot and that she'll be modeling when we hang out, it's just who I am and it's cool that she vibes with me.

Tutu

All the pictures are originals. I shared my favorite edited one on Instagram. Right now we are having a heat wave in Seattle, so I booked a hotel for the kids and I. They have a pool here too... I brought my GoPro with, but I don't think I'm able to magically do underwater videos with my 14 month old son.

Safe Space

My nudity is my freedom, it's about taking that power of mine and being loud about the fact that I can do what I want. 

It has made men uncomfortable in my relationships, but to hell with anyone that wants to change me and take away the things I enjoy.  My body is art and making art with it is my therapy... it's my safe space that no one can ever destroy.

Alexandermodeling

This morning was perfect. Alexander came over to my house around 9am, early enough to where my kids were still asleep and never had a clue I had a shoot when they woke up. My backyard is very private and there's many places to shoot. 

Alex and I got in the groove right away... he's a dancer and naturally comfortable with his feminine side. I like a man that isn't shy being a bit flamboyant. That's what I love to project in my art; women as strong and not depicted in a negative ligh...

Meine Pferde

Today was a 90 degree hot summer day here in Washington State. I waited until it wasn’t so hot to take out the horses... We rode and enjoyed the sunset in Tacoma, looking out at Mt. Rainier. I wasn’t on my phone and enjoyed taking in every moment. Then I snapped some pictures and was really happy with how smoothly everything went.

My allergies were the worst they have been all year today, too... but I wasn’t going to let it ruin my day. I didn’t get home until really late and ...

Frankenstein

I took these pictures in town and in my home when I lived in Frankenstein, Rheinland-Pfalz. I’d make this stuff while my ex-husband was at work... looking for ways to be creative in a boring ass town kept me going.

BW Portraits

My beautiful friend Linh Le took these of me at the park today. We met for Dim Sum and then took our kids to the park... I set up my arial hoop again for the kids to swing and play on.

Linh went to school for photography... I didn’t even know that until today. I think she captured me nicely. I was surprised because it didn’t seem like she took that many pictures.

It was my first time eating Dim Sum too and I loved it.

My Garden

I slept with a drawn on dream catcher last night and had wild dreams... My mood today was to not put pressure on myself and relax (that’s not so easy for me as my 3 kids keep me on my toes.) I woke up and enjoyed my morning coffee in the hot tub ✨

After Sunset

I just recently bought this arial hoop and I’m completely new to setting it up, but I love learning from mistakes and I like knowing how to do shit alone!

These pictures were taken at lake Ballinger right after sunset... it took me a while to get the rope tied and set up so that I could dismantle it all from the tree branch again. It was actually a total shit show! 😅 I got it hooked up and it was safe, I just wasn’t very smart with the first set up technique and it wasted time.....

Spirit Traveler

As my age starts to show, I’m becoming less bothered by it all. I’m tired feeling sad over looks and physical things. There’s so much more to life and spiritually than wasting all that time on unachievable expectations. I’m focused on breathing and healing...

Crescent Bay

I went and visited a good friend of mine in California and brought my son with me. It warms my heart when I see my friends doing well in life and that they are happy. My son was with us when we were shooting at a gorgeous secluded beach location called Crescent Bay. Cynthia also brought a friend along, which gave us a lot of shooting options. Love for Orcas

I am mother of 3 and I couldn’t imagine ever being away from my kids. The painting is a mother orca playing with her 3 babies.

Orcas have been torn from families even in our own Puget Sound.

Last time I went to see Lars I told him I wanted to put out a positive message for orcas.

We should love and protect animals 💙

Wouldn’t it be a better world if people didn’t fund sea world too! 😞

Dress in the Wind

It was incredibly windy that day. The beach was right next to us, but we couldn’t shoot because of all the sand spraying. We improvised!

Pacific Ocean

These were other pictures I had selected, but I already shared my 2 favorites on Instagram. I also shared them as originals because sometimes you don’t need to edit the sky as it was. I tried a bunch of edits and none looked as good as the original. That hardly ever happens.

It was a very bright day, but I’m still happy I got a couple shots worth sharing.

Throwaways

Pictures I like, but won’t use. I’ll probably go to this location again and try a different time of day. It was windy and cold, the kids were with me and it was all around a bit hectic managing it all 😅
