New Set

This set  and one other will be posted soon - as soon as I can get lightroom to function properly and not bother me endlessly! I've been having a time with it today.

Right now I think it's about to really storm. Not tornado storm (hopefully), but it just went from sunny to very dark and windy in under five minutes. The weather here in Oklahoma is rather crazy that way. Now I cannot go on my evening walk and am a bit sad, but it's okay. I can go out in the morning instead. 

Currently Sewing

I'm currently working on a long, vintage-look nightgown to use for some self portraits in the next couple of days. I designed this myself, so it is taking a bit more time than usual! But I think it will be very pretty when done. I've been sewing quite a bit recently, as well as doing a lot of embroidery. I think I will also make it a goal in the next few days to start uploading some examples to the $3 tier of my website so you can all see!

Quick Update

All moved!

I'm going to be posting an update on my site tomorrow about my move along with photos. It was pretty stressful, but it's now over and I'm pretty much completely unpacked. I'm living in a small house in Oklahoma now. I'm working on settling in - though my cats are already pretty comfy. Taking them on a 20 hour drive across the United States was a bit hectic to say the least! But I will post more details tomorrow.

After this coming week, I'll also be able to post more here as I'll have a lot more time thankfully. This past month has been exhausting, fun, full of work. I'm ready to rest after I move.

Ephemeral | New Set Uploaded

It's interesting - I've used this dress in so many photoshoots over the years that I've completely lost count. But this is only my second time that I can recall using it myself. I really love how sheer it is in these images. The set is uploaded to the $12 page, and some previews are on the $3.

I also need to do a journal entry soon. It's been a bit of a crazy month, and next month is going to be even worse. I've recently made what a lot of people are telling me is an insane life choice ...

I'm working on a journal entry now.

The past few days have ended up being very busy, and I am trying to do too many jobs. I have a part time legal job right now too, so it's a bit hectic!

But yes, photos are posted! Prints are in the mail! I hope they arrive soon. 

Also, my website host keeps making things less nice. I can no longer have thumbnails for my photos galleries! You must scroll through the photos by clicking on an arrow on the right side of the photos. Silly....

I have the tech equipment!

Living in NYC makes me feel like I'm consistently existing within some strange, tragic comedy of errors. I should just devote a whole journal post to this. I will likely do that tomorrow.

But I finally got the technical equipment necessary to retouch images so I can post them, and it was haphazardly thrown into the hallway of my building. No one rang my bell despite my being home the entire time. Just tossed in. Hopefully it works!

Having an absolute time attempting to get my backup drive to connect to my computer (this is where I store all of my images and is necessary for me to be able to edit properly).

I think the issue is that the connection is not tight/working properly. So I placed an order for a new usb connection port today, and it will be arriving tomorrow.

This portrait feels like it's from a different life.

I'm going to be updating a lot this weekend on my site - with journaling, photos, and my new little project. A quilt! I'm currently working on completing my first quilt, and I'm very excited about it. I will post photos so you can see once it is completed.

I've done knitting, embroidery, and now this quilt in the past few months. I finally got set up with my sewing machine today, and it was much less daunting a task than I thoug...

Coffee After Self Portraits

I arrived back home this week from spending Christmas at my momma's house. Slept a bit, ran many errands I needed to get done, am working on my two other jobs (some part time legal work and maternity photography), trying to keep up with emails (and failing). 

I also made time to make a pumpkin and squash soup with caramelized beef and a trip to Barnes and Noble during their 50% all hardcovers sale. Picked up some really beautiful books - I think my favorites are a copy of Jane Eyre...
