Philadelphia

I am currently in Philadelphia! Doing a few shoots and then heading on to Frederick to do one shoot before heading home.

I'll be taking some self portraits in this hotel room in a couple of days and will post to my site. I decided, for the first time, to get a nice hotel room for my trip. And it makes a ton of difference for my mental state regarding traveling. I'm not a huge fan of traveling - little known fact! I picked the best job ever for not enjoying travel!

New Film Set

I got to photograph Keira again yesterday - the full set is on the $12 level and some previews are on the $3 level. And a special guest joined the photos - Delilah :)

I think this window is going to work out quite well for photos.

I also took some black and white film but need to finish the roll before getting it developed. I'll be trying to do that tomorrow morning so I can drop off in the afternoon before I have a photoshoot with a photographer. 

Ilford 3200 Film

I did self portraits using this film today, and they are on the $12 site.

I do not like this film! At least not for what I was doing. I suppose it is sort of pretty, but I was not as pleased with it as I thought I would be. I definitely prefer the lower ISO films and need to find a decent black and white I can use regularly that does not bother me.

On Film

I found a film place within half of a mile of where I live, and they develop photos in a few hours! So, I will now be able to shoot film more frequently, and I'm super happy about it. I can practice and get better at it, and I think I will make it a goal to begin shooting medium format film at some point this year.

I split the photos into two sets though because it made more sense in terms of lighting!

Hello again! I feel like I've been gone for a while - only about a week though.

I'm all moved in to a new apartment in a much safer part of town. I really love it - I can walk outside at most times of day, there's nice places nearby, I can run downstairs and grab a quick coffee in the mornings, and multiple trains are very close. A quick heads up!

So I am going to be moving this week! Finally!

So I'm very, very busy trying to get everything arranged and packing all of my stuff up/sorting through it. But once I'm in my new place, I'm going to actually have more room to do photos! And with better light! I'm pretty excited, it's just going to be a process until around next Wednesday. I'll still be in NYC, just in a much safer area. So I'm definitely happy about that - especially as NYC has been a bit insane the past year.

CBEMA Film

I uploaded a set of self portraits to my site taken on very expired CBEMA film - Ukrainian, Soviet-era film. So, please excuse the dust! It's extremely old and has probably seen quite a lot through it's "life". 

Prints are in the mail for the $25 and $50 levels!

I also took almost two rolls of 35mm film self portraits that I'm going to drop off to be developed tomorrow! I'm pretty excited about them, but I did one of the rolls on very, very old Soviet film. So I'm not sure they'll even come out at all, but I'm hoping they do!

Also, I'm going to be moving to a different part of the city in less than a month. So I'm now preparing (mentally and physically) for that. I'm so tired of moving apartments ...

Early Morning

I put up a new photoset at the $12 level and am currently uploading some previews to the $3 level on my site. 

One new development that I note there as well - I bought an actual bed frame finally! And it struck me today how much easier it is to take photos on a bed as opposed to a mattress on the floor. I don't know exactly why that is, but it's true. So I'm excited to do more photos soon.

New Set Posted!

After a long morning of fiddling around with photo organization, lightroom, and my backup drive temporarily not working, I have succeeded in uploading photos to my site! 

So yes, there is a new set of 35 photos up on the $12 site and previews on the $3.

And prints should be to me soon so I can send them to those of you at the $25 and $50 levels :)

Shadows - New Set posted on the website

Make sure your screen is set at top brightness setting because these are a bit darker and might look a bit bad at a lower setting.
