Patreon Test Stream - Guessing OPs with Chat

Here's the stream from today. I wanted to see how Patreon-hosted streams work.

Looks like the chat is a little awkward and kind of small, plus you can't pause or roll back the video, but it seems like we're able to play some videos that would be instantly blocked on YouTube. So there's some value in that!

I start working but we end up playing Anime/Cartoon guessing games pretty quick with some people you guys might recognize as mods of the JelloPlaysGames channel.

Lemonade Video Editing + Epithet Concept Art

Doing some more editing for Lemonade Video #3. Come say hi and tell me what music I should play in the background.

Also I'm going to be getting some of the Epithet team back to animate a very quick chunk of Prison of Plastic audio for the sake of a gag, and that gag requires some new Trixie portraits. Here's my sketches I sent to Riel (lead artist on Mera/Naven). How will these be used? Well, you'll just have to watch the editing video to find out!

The "UFO 50" Mega Review (Part 1)

UFO 50 is a retro throw-back collection of fifty games made by fictional company UFO Soft. It is one of the most interesting, fun, in-depth video game experiences out there.

Piph has been trying to get anyone in the world to play this game for over a year just so he can talk about it, and after literal months of playtime Jello is ready to chat with him. For 8 hours.

Part 2 is available for all Patrons. Wat...

Reviewing Every Marvel Movie (ft. Amy, Oz, & Will)

Over the last few months Amy, Will, Oz, and several other friends took it upon themselves to watch every single Marvel movie up until "Avenger's Endgame". That's a lot of movies! In fact, it's so many movies, this is the longest review on this Patreon now! And I'm not even in it!

As per usual, spoilers for every single movie on the list. This post is massive and I spent the last three days editing it, so if you want to listen to it in bite-sized chunks I've put stars next to th...

Jello Reviews - Hades + Hades II

It's a review of Supergiant's two mega-hit roguelikes, Hades and Hades II!

I spent way too much time on this in every aspect. 250 hours on the first game, 120 hours on the second, and probably 25 hours tinkering with this audio and well as the giant in-depth mechanics chart I made (see below).

(Note that not all stores currently have one but the main warehouse has 2000 copies available, so it's definitely in print! You might just have to check a few storefronts. Looks like Books-A-Million has some if you're not interested in supporting Amazon.)

To celebrate the rerelease, we've got a new short animated by Luveygold! Yay!

Two Games That Stole All Their Ideas

A review of indie horror game Heartworm and indie JRPG Bloomtown: A Different Story.

I recently played these two games almost back to back and both of them are sub-par copies of different games I have also played. I've been thinking about them a lot, especially Bloomtown: A Different Story, which is such a funny title since the "different story" it's talking about is just Persona 5.

In fact, try taking a drink every time I say "In Persona 5"...

Force Jello to Watch Bad Animated Movies (Poll 2025)

I've been sick for the better part of a week and as per usual I'm not healing, so what better way to kill time than watching the very few major animated films I haven't seen yet and then probably bulk-reviewing them on Patreon!

Of course, not all of these movies are bad. But I know you people. You always pick the bad ones.

You can vote for as many as you want.

You should pick the good ones.

Do it. You won't.

Epithet Illustrations + Sketches - [Batch 2]

Two more finished illustrations for the novelized Epithet Erased book. These are currently the illustrations for Chapters 2 and 7, but I think there's a good chance the numbering might change a bit.

I haven't been making as much progress on the book as I might like since finishing the 3rd draft and getting feedback from the copyeditors. I've been spending a lot of time dealing with bureaucratic stuff and travel (I'm taking another trip to New York next week in order to...

Here's a little preview of some of the bits I've done for the upcoming edit-down of our playthrough of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance + Radiant Dawn. Lemonade Stream Extras - 18 More Drinks! (Patron Exclusive Video)

We had nearly 200 different drinks in our house to set up for last month's Lemonade Stream, so it was inevitable we would miss a few on the day of filming.

Turns out I forgot to try four of the lemonades I had bought, so this is a Patreon exclusive video of me taste-testing those lemonades, another Calypso I found, and 13 other iced teas and nasty mushroom-based tonics I was handed while driving around Toronto.

BIG UPDATE - New Epithet book underway, another lemonade stream, and more!

Hello, all. This is going to be a busy Summer!

I've been pretty quiet on the Patreon because I've been focusing on several different projects. The major one is writing Epithet Erased's next book, the novelized Museum Arc (EP1-4 of the animated series). The working title for the book is Breaking Silence and Bo has started on the illustrations. The above illustration is for the first chapter, and I've included all WIP versions from my initial crappy sketch to completion....

It's come to our attention that the manga for Revolutionary Girl Utena is both very difficult to find in English and also has a dubious reputation among fans of the series for a variety of reasons, namely for being a slightly different take on the series and, critically, less gay. Oops! I talked about "Octopath Traveler" for 7 Hours

I played Octopath Traveler and it's sequel, Octopath Traveler II. And then I talked about them for... seven hours. Whoops!

I played Octopath Traveler and it's sequel, Octopath Traveler II and I really liked them, so I wanted to talk about them. I thought this review would be about two hours long. It is not!

Turns out that explaining sixteen full plot lines and two 60+ hour games' worth of mechanics actually takes a while.
