I'm taking a lot of inspiration from the works of CalmDraws with these. I want to try and get into the habit of roughing out full scenes quickly. At some point I'd like to come back to some of these, maybe have y'all vote on which ones you might like to see finished.
A process video for these will be included in the rewards for Enthusiast tier patrons.

I wasn't happy with two of the characters in that last scene so I redid them. I'm much more please now, though I still think my poses feel a bit static.
Second is just for fun. Heavily referenced a photo from @LividPuppy and used her character, Harper. Also a meme dress I found somewhere and had saved.
I asked on twitter and bluesky about what people felt like I need to improve most and among other things, faces came up a lot. Particularly eyes. It's something I've sort of known a...

Things I've been working on between commissions. The second I thought was an interesting pose.
First one I'm considering making into a full scene like the Beach Shower, but if I go ahead with that I'm going to rework it a bit. I've been thinking about things I want to improve on recently and more dynamic poses is one of them. I like how the cameraman looks and the girl on the bed is okay but the other two feel very static and a bit awkward. I want to get more energy and persona...

Cosmo takes it for March, with a strong lead!
Next month I think I'm going to try reducing the options down to four. Sometimes I feel like I'm just putting characters on as filler, I feel like six might be a bit many for all of them to have a decent chance.

I've been trying out some more semi-flat shaded stuff. Just trying to go as simple as possible with the shading.

I had a good picture in my mind of what I wanted this to be when I started. I blocked it out in 3d first and then did the initial sketch. I was considering trying to fully paint the beach, trees and buildings in the background at first but decided to have a go at blocking them out as well. The buildings are some free lowpoly game assets I got from Kenney.nl
Painting the main couple was interesting, since they're more or less completely in shadow. I'm don't often do a lot of characters t...

It's hot, the air thick with salt and ocean scents. There's an empty shower, the only spot on the beach that's out of sight, if only barely. They just can't wait. Grunting and giggling, just trying to be quiet and quick enough to slip away before anyone notices.
I like how this came out. I didn't try for the full level of detail I usually do in illustrations, I think the scope of the piece makes up for it and I don't want to make it tedious for myself. I'm happy I can pull off big scene...

I have a serious problem: I can't stop designing fox girls.
I wanted to try some flat colouring. I'm not totally content with it. Even though it's simpler it takes longer to do than painting. This kind of style needs clean lineart, I think. My way of sketching is pretty messy since I usually just paint it all out later and inking lines has always been too tedious for me to stomach. Still, it's nice to try every now and then.

I've been mainly focused on getting all the illustrations done at the moment but I did get these done too. Unfortunately, no full res for the first one as I accidentally mangled it before I could save it properly and didn't notice until it was too late to undo.

Just a few process shots. Probably the most interesting bit is the 3d models. I did a few very rough sketches of the kind of thing I wanted but decided I'd rather whip them up in blender. It helps keep things consistent and makes drawing a whole lot of poses in one go a lot less daunting. They can be tricky when they've got more than one character. It also makes it a little easier to play around with the panel layout. I made the posable doll to more or less resemble the construction lines I u...

Started this last month and I've been chipping away at it. The goal for me here was to figure out the actual process I would use to make comics, from layouts to art style, etc. No better way to learn than by doing, right? It was certainly an interesting experience.
For the artstyle, I was originally going for something more sketchy but I ended up deciding it was a bit too messy for what I wanted. What I've been doing for speedpaints looks a bit cleaner. I originally wanted to keep the l...

Sorry I haven't had much to show for the first half of this month, I've been busy with a move, but things have settled down and we're back to our regularly scheduled programming.
I've had a bit of an interest in revealing dresses recently. There will be more of this later.

A party of adventurers are taking some R&R at a prestigious brothel after a successful (and profitable) quest.
It's been a very sketch filled month for me, I hope y'all don't mind that. Ideally I'd like to render some of these at some point. Maybe we can vote on which ones get done first?
