Hello again! This week's map is the Lava River (25x25), another somewhat simple volcanic map, continuing my effort to create more content for my least developed terrain. I'm going to make at least 1 more volcanic map too, so don't think I'm done yet!
Your alternate versions of these map are Caustic and Meltdown! The Caustic version is an all-time favorite, I just love swapping the glowing red for dangerously glowing green goo. The swap makes the map feel more alchemical, like there's so...

This week's map is the Lava Fields (25x25), a nice and basic map for use in volcanic encounters. I realized that all of my previous volcanic maps are a little too specific for general use and I felt that I ought to whip out one or two less limiting maps, the kind of maps that you don't have to set up too much for or explain away parts of. Next week I think I'll make one more like this, something similarly useful, and then I'll be moving back to my usual content (unless you want more volcano m...

Hi Adepts! This week's map is the Lava Fields (25x25), a basic lava map for when you're in-between your volcanic destinations. I imagine this will be about as useful for volcanic biomes as a forest clearing would be for forest biomes, not intended to be extremely exciting but it's the map you'll often need while traveling.
Your alternate version of this map is a fairly simple color swap, which I'm naming 'Grim', a variant that loses some of the magical and pleasant vibes of the original...

Hi again! I'm back this week with the Lava Fields (25x25), a nice and simple volcanic map for the middle parts of your journeys through hell or the proximity of a volcano. This one was intended to be pretty simple and general use, opting for usability rather than trying to be the focus of an adventure, so I'm hoping it'll be pretty easy to integrate into your stories.
Your alternate versions of this map are Swampy and Cave, two interesting environment changes which I'm very happy ...

This week's map is the Molten Keep (25x25), another volcanic map! I realized that I had never made an intact dungeon with lava before, and since I've been on a kick of making volcanic maps I figured the time was right to whip something up. The design of this map was made to be not too restricting, I attempted to make it so that there isn't an implied objective or gimmick, so hopefully you won't be too hard-pressed to fit it into your quests. Have fun!

Hello again, folks- this week's map is the Molten Keep (25x25), a pleasantly generic dungeon featuring plenty of hazardous trenches of lava. My intention with this map was to keep the layout somewhat open and without an implied story, though I did include a few magical-lookin' crystals to keep things a little interesting, and I also made sure to keep the lava nice and available, so your players will always be close enough to the danger to feel a little on edge.
Your alternate version of...

Hello hello! This week's map is the Molten Keep (25x25), a somewhat straightforward dungeon with lots of straightforward trenches of deadly lava. While none of the pools are too large to jump over (if you're careful), smart players should still be cautious of crafty enemies who might try to fling them to their deaths.
Your alternate versions of this map are Grim and Meltdown! The Grim version is a little less colorful and a little less cheerful, feeling more evil than the original and c...

Hello again! This week's map is the Volcanic Walkway (30x32), a rare lava map. I've been having some fun making unusual maps off the top of my head, and this time I decided that I wanted to color something spicy- a lava-filled basin with walkways arcing overhead! I had so much fun doing it too, I might just make one or two more volcanic maps in the coming weeks and pad out this biome a little more.

This week I made the Volcanic Walkway (30x32), an interesting map that came about after I decided that I wanted to draw some nice glowing lava. It's fun, you know?
Anyway, your alternate version of this map is Crumbling, and I've taken out a couple big chunks of the platform. The idea is that this will make the fight a little more asymmetrical, so the room doesn't feel so much like an arena. Plus there's an added feeling of danger since there's a threat of other chunks of the platform f...

Hello there, Experts and Masters! This week's map is the Volcanic Walkway (30x32), a very dangerous platform crossing a pool of lava! My question is, why didn't they just make tunnels around it? What's so special about this lava? How do you even make a platform like this over a pool of fiery death? What's keeping this stupid thing standing? The world may never know, but my guess is that it was built by idiots using magic.
Your alternate versions of this map are really ...

Hello all! This week's map is the Devastated Dungeon (37x34), not the next map I was planning on making but I had the urge to make a little dungeon-y cave map with two distinctly different vibes and I think I'm allowed to do that sometimes, as a treat.
That's really all there is to it! I might deviate again next week, since I've got a handful of other ideas bumping around my head, so be sure to stop on by and see what I've cooked up.

Hello there, Adepts! This week's map is the Devastated Dungeon (37x34), a map I suddenly felt inspired to make earlier this week, despite all the other maps I should be making. But you know what? Sometimes I like to take the initiative and do what feels right, and that's just great.
Your alternate version of this map is a subdued version, since I felt that the original was so gosh-danged colorful that it might in fact be way too vibrant for a decent portion of my patrons to use. S...

Welcome back, folks! This week I made the Devastated Dungeon (37x34), a split map between a funky purplish cave full of glowing mushrooms and a dank and crumbling dungeon complex. Useful? Maybe. Interesting? Oh yeah. Fun to look at? You bet.
Your alternate versions of this map are Icy and Subterranean! The icy version feels especially useful, I can imagine a ton of times that this would have been great in my own campaigns, it feel like there isn't a huge variety of fun wintery map...

This week's map is the Sandy Islet (40x40)! I hadn't made an island map for quite a while and since I was a few days shorter on time this week due to some family matters, I felt this would be a fun and quick map to make. While I was at it I also dabbled in some new things stylistically, trying out new ways to depict islands and color them, and I think it turned out pretty nice. There's a good chance that I'll be equally busy next week with my personal life, so there's a greater than 0% chance...

Hi again, folks! This week's map is the Sandy Islet (40x40), a small and mostly bare island with just a few spots to get some cover. I'd like to say that I was inspired to make this map and simply had to get it down on paper, but actually there were some unexpected health problems in the family which needed my attention, so I made a map which I knew I could knock out with the time I had available. That's how it goes sometimes, what can you do?

Hello again, Experts and Masters! This week's map is the Sandy Islet (40x40), a big map with not much in it- by design! Sometimes environments aren't hugely complicated with 3-tier mountains, bloody altars, and cathedrals, sometimes they're small islands with 6 trees and a few rocks, and that's just great.
Your alternate versions of this map are a funky Sunset version that I had a little fun with and a Shadowfell variant which I thought was kinda silly. The Sunset one has such a s...

Hi again, folks! I'm finally back after taking a few weeks off, and this time I'm returning with an interesting one- the Mountain Shrine (25x30), the next map from the poll! This one was a bit of a grind, rock walls are never quick and easy to churn out and this map features quite a few of them. Hopefully I'll be able to repurpose a few of these for future maps, but I think I'll take a break from rock walls for a while, I've had enough of them.
Also, aren't the colors kinda intere...

I'm back after a couple week stay-cation, bringing with me the Mountain Shrine (25x30)! I know this isn't the most popular opinion, but I feel like taking some time off at home is just as good as traveling- I can do all the things I've been too busy for at home and relax without having to plan anything. Most importantly, I got to read all of the Haikyu manga and cook lots of good food for my wife and me, which was great. Anyway, on with the map!

Hi again, Experts and Masters! This week's map is the Mountain Shrine (25x30), a fairly complicated map filled with rocky ledges and an extremely dangerous cliff- perfect for fighting flying monsters or creatures with a predilection for throwing uppity adventures off of steep cliffs.

Hello again, folks! This week's map is the Blacksmith Forge (24x22, 10x9), a smallish map which I had a little fun with by drawing in some weapons from a few excellent video games. Other than that, I tried to keep this one fairly straightforward, ensuring that this would fit the bill for a fairly regular blacksmith's forge/shop/home in just about any town your adventurers might come across.
As you dig through the files you'll find that I've provided versions of this map in a coupl...

Hi Adepts! This week's map is the Blacksmith Forge (24x22, 10x9), a small shop/forge/home that you should have absolutely no problem fitting into just about any campaign, at least that's what I was aiming for.
Your alternate version of this map is subdued, which honestly feels a little creepy this time around. I was intending for this to be a little more appropriate for shadier towns, a shop where you might feel mildly threatened or like the smith might be charging you through the...

This week's map is the Blacksmith Forge (24x22, 10x9), just about as normal of a little smith's forge/shop/home that you could hope to find in any city or village. At least that was the plan, I designed the place to be as generic as they come (plus one or two little things I had a bit of fun with), so hopefully you won't have any trouble at all fitting it into your campaigns.
Your alternate versions of this map are Sunset and Grim! The Grim version I made in an attempt to be a little mo...

Hello again, everyone- this week's map is the Jungle Shore (30x30), a quick map I whipped up over the last couple days in an attempt to get myself back on schedule. But even so, I think this turned out to be a very pretty little map, and I always have a good time making a forest map after churning out urban environments and dungeons for a month or two. So, hopefully you don't mind a small departure from the recent theme of complicated maps, but I'll be back on that grind again starting next w...

I'm back! This week I made the Jungle Shore (30x30), a quick and simple map to help me get back on track after spending a few weeks posting 1-2 days late. I'm not complaining though, I like making forest maps, and the numbers say that most of you like them too even though a vocal few will often appear and tell me how they want to never see another forest map again. But that's just how business goes on the internet, right?

Hi again, folks! This week's map is the Jungle Shore (30x30), a nice and simple jungle map I made as a quick map to fix some scheduling conflicts I've been struggling against. Hi folks- another late map but I'm catching up. This time it's the Palace Fountain (31x35), otherwise known as 'What You Might Have Expected Last Week's Map to Look Like'. I realized a little late last week that the prompt that you voted for in the poll was a bit vague, so I wanted to make sure that no one left disappointed for this one- and anyway it's been a while since I've made a fancy courtyard like this so it was a long time coming. Enjoy!

Hello again, Adepts- this week's map is the Palace Fountain (31x35), a straightforward courtyard on the palace grounds for your players to sneak carefully past guards on set patrol routes. Your alternate version of this map is a 'Grim' recoloring, which feels appropriate for the castles of bad guys who maybe aren't super evil, or at least not known to be super evil. You following me?

Hi again! This week's map is the Castle Courtyard (40x40), again a particularly large map (for me), which is partially why I'm releasing it several days late. This one features an area of a castle which I now know is called a 'bailey', and not a courtyard. Who knew? After I learned this I got to thinking about this map prompt and I realize that some people probably expected something a little different from this map, maybe a palace garden with a fountain, but this is what came to my mind. Hello again, everyone! This week your map is the Castle Courtyard (40x40), or more accurately the Castle Bailey as I've recently learned. I started this map with a little bit of research and quickly discovered that the prompt for this map was a little vague, as I was finding several possible directions to take this map in. In the end, I decided to go with my original intention for the map, but I'm still planning on developing those other ideas as well, seeing as some of you who voted for this...
