Horror Protagonists

Continuing with the two who have already been drawn, I started to think of a concept where each character would be just a different archetype from different horror games. Names are still pending, if they even have one, but their roles should speak for themselves just by looking at the designs.

For the October mood I drew the main character of the other conceptual game idea of mine. The yet unnamed vampire with guns.
With the guns I wanted to make something dumb and fantastical which would make any gun nut lose their mind.

This time the entries were robust and supporters alive. I had a family-sized pizza box lying around which I could draw all of these at ease with room to spare.

September Diary 2024

Imagine how big of a diary entry I would've had if I WENT to Japan. Even if I am a fan of Japanese culture and media, I have no burning need to actually go there. Way too crowded for my tastes.

Exit the Dragon 3

When I said the last batch was going to be the last, well, I LIED!

I realized that the overall mood of the possible game doesn't come out clear in the character illustrations alone, so I made some cover arts and mockup screenshot. Also a training session at the end with Master Exodus.

NOW I think I am done even if I could continue this as long as I want. The question will be how I will upload all of these in social media.

Exit the Dragon 2

It's not a proper action adventure if there isn't a rival character with similar skills than the player.
I still can't decide on Escape's colors so her palette varies in the drawings. Black hair & White clothes mirror Exit's own palette, but the full-on black looks also edgy good on her.

With this set out of the way I am now ready to put this in the backburner for a while. But it was a lot of fun thinking up these characters and setting.

Exit the Dragon

Since we're still in the year of the Dragon, I wanted to draw a bit more to the hypothetical video game "Exit the Dragon", a 3D brawler platformer in the style of 2000's action games.

Assorted Collection

In August I turned off commissions to work on my own stuff a bit more among Lotta Svärd. Here are some of the fruits of my labor, a reminder how my stuff go from one place to another. Perhaps I don't need to show my appreciation to EVERY thing I like in drawing form. But hey it's fun.

My roadmap to alcoholism goes as follows:

Robot Girl Character Design

A recent character design commission with lots of back-and-forth with the client.
I liked the process how it slowly evolved from the initial stages to something different.

Manhattan Cafe - Uma Musume

Full resolution drawing of the horse-sized horse girl in visiting a cafe.
I wanted it to have a threatening energy of horse being indoors.

It originally had a complimentary piece from the front, but the back view was good enough for me that I didn't want to "break the illusion", so to say. But here you can see her contemplating what to order.

I also added a .psd which includes the both pieces, layers titled in somewhat organized manner and the sketches.

Pizza Box August

Here they are again. Some a bit messier than the others because despite the box being an older one, the grease stains smudge the ink quite a lot.

One of the requests was just "Tinne". I don't know if it was a joke how Tyyne's name gets often misspelled by foreigners but luckily I had something lying around for these types of occasion.

Metal Slug - Peace Forever!

1. The full resolution drawing of the recent Metal Slug drawing based on the first game's credits sequence.
2. Sketch to get the mood and colors correct.
3. Idea sketch which is drawn from memory. These types of drawings are just for the idea / composition itself, and are never used as an actual base to the lineart. In other words some of my digital drawings have two separate sketch layers.

Pizza Box July

Here's your pizza delivery, thanks again for your support!
Funny story, earlier last month I ordered a take-away pizza at a restaurant. To my surprise they didn't have pizza boxes, so I was handed a folded pizza wrapped into a tin foil. Needless to say that the pieces had stuck together so well that it was impossible to separate them.
Luckily I got some spare boxes lying around, so I could draw these.
