Not a lot of text in this one, just funny thing I thought about as I've been having nice cups of coffee in outdoor cafes.

Sorry I'm a bit late. After Twitter disabled likes, finding trends has been a bit more difficult to the point that I might have to alternates from this point on, or just asking from people.
But please vote which sounds the best, and I'll draw it in my twisted way. The drawing itself might come later in July, thanks.

A smaller batch again. Patreon changed something in their DM system, so if I missed anyone's request, please let me know and I'll get them done by next month.

Like last month, there was duplicate request of a lotta (Lahja this time around), so the other request is dawn on sketchbook instead on cardboard. A special case.

May 2024 Diary

What's this? The first diary illustration that's SIDEWAYS? These truly are the end times.
But yeah, end of the winter and beginning of summer are both the most difficult seasons for drawing. Despite that I've been having a somewhat good drive, and it's only improving.

FOTM May: Lemon

Instead of drawing a character just crunching their face I drew a comic page of the popular meme. Lemons weren't common in Finland until the 1960's, so it's very likely that someone like Taimi hadn't tasted lemon before.
I thought to reference this video to some degree, but didn't have any ideas.

FOTM May Poll

I've once again gathered four memes and trends from the past month. Some more short-lived than the others. Winner gets drawn with my usual twist.
Last time I realized that it's possible to switch your vote at any time. Try to commit to your vote and not change it after the initial decision.

I've also thought to add picture to visualize each trend, but it's funnier if people might not know what they actually are, and vote solely based on the funniest sounding title.

Zelda TotK Comic: Insensitive Zelda

The fourth and last The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-comic for the 1 year anniversary of the game. Surprisingly they all included Rauru & Sonia and are set in the flashback sequences.
I had some ideas for the "modern" timeline, but those will have to wait.

Pizza Box May

Here's the pizza box with some room to spare as I drew the characters a tiny bit smaller than usual.
There were TWO requests to draw Helle, so the other one is drawn on a sketchbook as bonus instead of on the cardboard. Always surprises me that people want to see my OWN characters, but that's what some of you are here for, huh. Big thanks again and see you next time.

The Last Unicorn

I've had some time to catch up to some movies I haven't seen, yet have a slight interest to them. Started off with The Last Unicorn, apparently a classic in some countries, but quite unknown where I'm from.

The movie was kinda "meh", but it was pretty to look at. Very good character designs.

The drawing is drawn on paper, yet has some insane digital edits, for example I had to cut out all of the elements to separate layers so that the coloring would be easier. In other words I did...

Sometimes I'd want to redraw these, or at least do some fixes. Unfortunately doing the fixes digitally would be a bit difficult with the way these are drawn.

FOTM March - Sadako Ceiling TV

The competition was fierce, but this trend was voted as the most popular.
As I was looking through some of the other examples, I noticed that not many had dared to draw the background themselves, cowards I say, COWARDS!
It is understandable though with the crazy amount of tiles and little details in there, but with trusty line tool it was easy. Took more time to do than the characters though.

Game Universe

As a GAMER I often think about what sort of a game I'd like to do myself, so I daydream a lot.
Here are the main characters of each idea I've thought more than a few seconds. In the second pic are the titles, genre and the closest inspiration.

I have no plans to make any games at all. It's just fun to think up settings and characters which work better for games rather than comics.

Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society

I liked Labyrinth of Refrain so it was a no brainer to eventually get into Labyrinth of Galleria. I can't really recommend the game since it's a 50 hour game stretched into 100 hours, but like with Refrain, the story was really good and that's what I was after anyway.

Funny celebratory illustration. As you can see the funny allergy-edition is actually the original, but I made a normal version afterwards. Who knew frolicking in the fields is not all fun and roses.
