So, considering the Mimic is intended to be an optional MINI-BOSS, so please bear in mind that a degree of difficulty is intended (unless you figured out what item to use on the chest, which is supposed to make the fight much easier).

In fact there is another Mimic mod available on Darkest Dungeon, and because of how capture mechanics work this ended up being four times bigger than a whole other mod -- just as a small part of LLE!
As such there might be problems with it.

Coding capture enemies is so fun and normal in this game. Especially the part where you have to do exponentially more work depending on how many you're adding. To add two enemies with two variations I had to do eight enemies' worth of coding and testing and implementation.

Would you prefer to wait until every aspect of the Mimics are completed, or would y'all like a test release where they're in the game but with a basic loot table + eldritch pregnancies as placeholders?

With every capture enemy I add I find its best to keep the character's head obscured so it could reasonably be any of your heroines under there getting it (unless they're not white, but fuck, I cannot cover every scenario)
Any idea how a woman on all fours under here could have an obscured head?

As you know, the animation files got fucked up. My animator has made some efforts to fix them, but these also seem to be wobbly too. Not only are they all twisted up and wrong, but they're actively crashing the game on load. It's a headache.

Turns out the Darkest Dungeon build of Spine has no way to easily correct this by simply flipping the animation.
We had to completely rebuild and recreate all the animations.
Fortunately it's all fixed now! Back to work!

In Darkest Dungeon adding enemies with capture mechanics is Fun™️ because every enemy you create you have to create twice: One version of it without a captive, and one version of it with.
And let's say you want to create a variant of that enemy that spawns under separate conditions? Well now you've got two enemies that each need two capture forms. Four enemies total.
