Momo has a new girlfriend!!
Tilty Fox is now with us at SAF south in hopes to be living with Momo, our seizure fox. This is the first day of me doing introductions with them. I kept them in a more controlled environment in case it didn’t go well, but it went very well and I couldn’t be happier! Momo is a bit unsure still at this point, but you can hear Tilty scream “Love me love me!!” They will make an adorable couple for sure!

Every week, part of my chores is to let the snakes out into a room so they have room to stretch, slither around, and give me a chance to clean their tank.
Unfortunately, Citron, our 12 foot long albino lavender reticulated python, is also our resident prick.
Here you can see he found a way to get all the way up in the corner of the room, wrap himself in every cable available, and knock down Mikaylas speaker.

Meet this handsome Umbrella cockatoo who just joined us!
Though birds are not a species we typically take in, he was an exception with the best reason. A sanctuary was able to adopt four fur farm foxes if we could take him in. Sammi gave birth!
If you had seen some of our previous videos of our new rescues. Cindy (who got renamed Sammi by a generous donor) Arrived at our sanctuary a few weeks ago. And upon her first vet appointment with us, it was revealed that she was pregnant!
Today she gave birth to her first baby at 1:15am. You guys are the first to know.
She is the first time mother. So we have all the supplies on hand in case she doesn't take care of them. But so far she is doing really good and I'm really proud...

Fur farm intake
Had to pull this fox off the fur farm early. He is from the last hundred left. Or she! (We still need to check).
Needless to say, he's a little special 🤪
He has some balding going on on his tail so he will be taken to the vet to get that checked out!
We got some Ruby safe treats!
Poor Ruby girl has had NO treats since her kidney diagnosis. This is because getting her to a healthy number and maintaining her kidney health was priority #1. Now that she's in a good spot we got some kidney-friendly treats for her so she can finally get treats again! Here's me giving her the first treat (from me) in over half a year!

These are two more rescues that came from the emergency intake case of 9 animals.
Our quarantine pens are set up in the garage so they get to take their turns at garage time until we get them all vet checked and moved on to their new homes. We might keep a few if we can integrate them into our existing Fox groups. We will see how that goes!

A little over a week ago we had a urgent surrender case. These animals options were either take them or they might be euthanized or taken to a fur farm.
So we don't intend on permanently keeping any of these new rescues but we are giving them a safe haven until they have new homes.
If this wasn't an urgent case we would not have taken them on, as right now we need donations more than ever!

Introducing our newest surrender!

It's very cold here. -12°f at night. So Funguy our epileptic fox has to be in the heated garage because it could be deadly if he were to have a seizure in this weather.
So we brought Tilty indoors because if he doesn't have her, he gets depressed and doesn't take his meds!
We feel bad that Funguy has to spend so much time indoors because of our harsh winters, so we have decided it would be best that they found a home at another sanctuary where it's warmer. So they are moving to G...

Just wanted to give you guys a quick update on the newest fur farm foxes we picked up the other day! :)
They all are being treated for some pretty bad ear mites and one with a horrible ear infection. Pearl girly was taken back to the emergency vet last night as she stopped eating again, she’s back at Saveafox on some more meds so we will post more about that shortly!
