Patreon and commissions going forward

Well here we are, on the verge of a big change that was long overdue.

First of all, I'd like to thank all of the current patrons and commissioners who supported me through the last years. Big changes ahead for Patreon and commissions.

It's been a few years since I started the whole Patreon thing and the biggest issue I had with it was how it just made it a frustration for people to try and get to commission me.

I had a stable income, but I was pretty much drawing for the same people without much room for anyone else. Lately I felt like I needed a fresh breath of air as well as actually improving things, which is why I'm thinking about how to overhaul the whole system so that it can become more flexible without losing...

New rule for rough sketch streams

Tomorrow afternoon I plan to hold a rough sketch stream, but after thinking deeply about it, I'll have to introduce a new rule: people who already have patreon slots won't be able to get sketches.

I feel awfully bad putting this rule into place, but I got either direct complaints or heard people were really frustrated with patrons joining in when they already had their monthly pic to look forward to.

Gigantamax Pikachu Comic

Alright everyone, this might be a bit of a longer-term project. I'm planning a comic involving a Gigantamax Pikachu eating a much smaller Gigantamax Charizard who thought he'd have the upper hand on the awesome mouse :3

Some new Perks for Patreon Subscribers!

So, I'll keep this sweet and short, but like I anticipated before August I added a few perks for the ones who decide to sign up to my Patreon.

The patreon reward system is pretty much unchanged, what I focused on were the smaller tiers so that I could give something in return even to the generous people who didn't get to have one of the "reward tiers". So here's what changed:

Plans for August and onward.

Patreon Update!

So, today I officially resumed my work on patreon and I figured it was time to briefly update you on what I'm planning on the short-term for the next months.

Future Plans and new Commission Prices

I've hesitated a lot before making this journal, but it was long overdue.

August break

As I already stated on twitter, I'm gonna take the first full break from patreon after a couple of years as soon as August hits.

Reward Patrons have already been notified about the modalities, but I'll briefly mention it here too. Patrons will be charged for August, so that the supporters eligible for a reward will be able to send in their ideas and have a broader time limit. This means they won't be charged for September as the next Patreon charge after that will be on October 1st.

As you may have noticed my Patreon just officially reached the milestone of 1000$ and...I seriously can't believe that something that started only as some sort of secondary job would've managed to reach this level.

I really needed this time off...Anthrocon was nothing short of amazing for me and spending time with my friends has really helped me to relax for real.

First of all, as you may have noticed, I extended my work time. Instead on working on the current Patreon rewards from the 15th to the last day of the month, I'm now working from 15th of a month to the 15th of the month later.
