When life hits hard...

Decisions where made!

So 3 weeks ago I talked about making a decision about if I should take the step to take Bikubot full time.  As most of you likely know by now is that I have made the decision to try to do this full-time. This after doing some hard thinking and talking to some of you wonderful people.

So how did I come to that decision? Two simple reasons, this is my passion and you people, I want to make the best possible bot for you all to use.  So looking forward to developing this bot full...

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Yeah, it hasn't even been a month and here is another post! But been trying to come to a conclusion about some decisions I need to make and I thought I would let you all know about. If you are not interested in my life circumstances or money you should stop reading now. But things affecting those might affect the development of the bot.

A month of problems, but we got there in the end

So this has not been the best month for either me or the bot, I've been fighting and am still fighting an ear infection that had its start all the way back in September, went more or less away but came back in force about 4 weeks ago. Doing tons better now even if it's still there.

This has had the effect of slowing down the development of the bot just as I felt like I was picking up speed in development. But nothing that can be done there I just have to pick up speed again.

A year and a bit

It's about time this page gets another update, it might look empty here but that is because most updates happen over at the Discord channel and/or Twitter. But let's see if I can't get better about doing updates here (at the very least monthly updates).

So it's been about a year and a half since this Patreon page was started, it has been a year and a bit since the first "public" release. The bot itself started in my brain a bit more than 2 years ago and actually took quite a few months...

Exciting things on the horizon

Yes, finally time to start doing updates here again, going to try to make them at least once a month, I've made these sorts of promises before so we will see how it goes. Seems like I’m still bad at doing this monthly update thing, oh well, hopefully I will get there at some point. So this month, almost two month have been crazy for bikubot.

Bikubot has had 8 updates, bringing 3 new modules, one which has 2 sub modules. We made updates to the UI to make it look cleaner and unified. Yepp, the pre-alpha is live right now over the bots discord.

If you are a tier 3 patron or higher you will have access to the alpha-tester roll and the pre-alpha release.

Things that "works":
Authenticating bot and and streamer account.
Making a command, with sound, text and/or cooldowns.

Current Limitations: It will only do the command if the command word is the first word used in chat. (More option how to handle command words will come).

Hey,
So progress on the bot is going fine, I've been a bit busy with updating some old scripts apart from my job hunting. So the two weeks to the alpha demo I talked about in the last update will clearly not happens as it's been 2 weeks and a day since then. but it's getting quite close now as I teased on Twitter, do I dare hope for 1 - 1,5 week?
