brellocomic: Two Sides of Existence

I took a bit of a break during the weekend, which is good. Sometimes people work too hard. It gave me some time to wash laundry (which I sorely needed to do) and clean up a bit (which also doesn't hurt; I want to make it a point to do so at least once a week). 

I changed the script of this page just a bit so it better represented the original ideas behind the comic - and it's also a lot cleaner. Doing all of the drawing and colouring can be a bit tough, but it's simple and approachable......

Did a bit more work on the next little brellocomic. It's safe to say that the inks themselves are completed, all I've gotta do is the colours and edit the script a bit, especially the first panel's.

Taking it easy for the most part today, but I might do a bit more work later. I'm really tired, which is no surprise considering how late I stayed up the previous day working on that Summer illustration. I also want to get some Splatoon 2 in before it gets too late.

Summer's End

This is a piece I've wanted to do for maybe the entirety of this month, though I only began it yesterday - rather spontaneously too. I didn't expect it to be such a detailed illustration, but I wound up putting a lot of work into it, pretty much spending my night entirely on this. It's not a crazy amazing piece, but it's fairly developed compared to most of my recent work.

Here's an idea for another brellocomic; pretty simple and kinda funny, I think.

Rose Lalonde Pops In!

I haven't drawn Homestuck in a while, but then, I suppose I haven't drawn much of it at all. There have been a few pieces here and there though.

The character is Rose Lalonde, one of the human characters from Homestuck, introduced pretty much at the start of the first Act, though I don't think she was physically revealed until shortly before the second Act started. Of course she wasn't quite as... Robust.

Here's a quick sketch from today. Not too much to say about it, I just wanted to draw the Magic Sword. Though I don't much like how it came out.

I should endeavor to play with cropping and colour a bit more, trying new things to prevent monotony. Simpler colour schemes can be really appealing, providing they're good colours.

Here we go, it's finished. 

I'm never good at drawing the Sheikah Slate, but it was a requested feature so I rolled with it. I had originally intended to include it, but I thought it would wind up being significantly more distracting than it actually is.

Turned out okay enough.

Shooting an Ancient Arrow Progress

Some more progress on this. I actually never saved the original file, so I had to redraw it in CSP, which is sad, and because I was tracing over my older low-res sketch of it, I wound up going with cleaner lines. It wasn't supposed to have clean lines.

But it's okay, it happens. Might as well try to make it work since I've been wanting to push myself as of late anyway.

I considered just going to sleep, but I've been really unhappy with the amount of work I've been producing lately (not enough) and I don't like feeling like I let you guys down. So I did a bit more work.

Just another Link

Not a terribly exciting sketch, it just served the purpose of actually getting me to start drawing today. 

A few weeks ago, I started waking up early, which was great, because it means I was able to take care of stuff, like dishes, earlier in the day before waking. But now I've returned to staying up super late again. I'd like to find the perfect medium between waking up early and staying up fairly late.

WIP: more comic, with mud-wrestling

I did not originally intend on including a wip of the comic for an upload today, but this particular panel took a lot more work than I thought it might, so I figured it was worth showing off.

I might edit some of the shapes in the background a bit, but for the most part, this area is done. I still have a bit more work to do for the inks, but then I can jump on the colours shortly afterwards.

I started a new Master Mode run not too long ago, and it's pretty fun... SO FAR. I'm not allowing...

WIP - More Comic Stuff

I've done a bit more work on the comic I teased before. I'm on the inking phase, and it's turning out alright. Stylistically, there's some inconsistencies, which I might go back and fix up a bit - like that bottom panel Link has a very small head, for instance.

There's also very uniform line-width, which means I'm gonna want to go back in and fix some of the lines.

I'm just doing work today bit by bit so I don't overwork myself and burn myself out. The ongoing activities in the world are...

Disappointed

Feeling a bit disappointed today. Stuff in the world, stuff with me, the general negativity that's spreading throughout social media. Not the kind of stuff I want to deal with today, so I think I'll just play some Zelda today, and take care of some other work later today, when the day is significantly calmer. Herocia Doodles

I'm oddly more tired than I should be... I only woke up about 5-6 hours ago. Maybe my body doesn't like being awake during the day. Anyway, here are some Herocia doodles. She's a Greek Lady character Hero person type thing I made many years ago to be used for a 2D design project in which I made a video game.
