Malus

Here's a surprise sketch from tonight.

Breath of the Wild is a good Zelda game that I wish I did more art of, even if only the landscapes, but it has a lot of cool characters too. One of the interesting things about this game's villain is that it's essence is sorta spread across the world in little pools of "Malice" that hurt to touch. I thought it would be really great if it would infect the enemies that you can fight, however, like the SEED or Darkers from Phantasy Star Universe/Online...

ayn character sketcho

Just a pretty rough sketch for today - it occured to me that I probably stress way too much over the daily sketchie book, and I should probably feel comfortable just sharing whatever, even if it's not something that has a lot of compositional thought behind it.

I've sketched this character now and again, though without explicitly bringing attention to her, as she has much less consistency than Amaranth does - I'm not entirely convinced for her design yet, so I went in a pretty different direct...

Cassiopeia Quinn Rough Sketches

I did a guest comic page for Cassiopeia Quinn not too long ago. It isn't very complex page, but I did have to draw a few characters I've never drawn before: Captain Rosalba, Lieutenant Russ, and Admiral Toyn. I didn't want to just draw them in my style and risk same-facing them, so I spent a bit of time trying to understand their character roughly.

It was important to get the slopes of and exaggerated features of their figures down. If I couldn't do the characters justice with my own skill as ...

Another Amaranth Sketch

The white shade of Amaranth's skin and shirt looks a lot brighter than the background shade - but they're actually the same exact value. That's because values/colours look different depending on adjacent colours because they interact. The grey of Amaranth's skin looks lighter because it is contrasting the black directly next to it - as well as the red, which is very saturated. The background, however, really doesn't do much interaction with the rest of the piece, and there's a lot of negative sp...

AmaChains

Ye another amaranth sketchdump. I gotta start drawing more dynamic poses and compositions before this just becomes boring for everyone. This sketch is a bit later than I'd have liked - was feeling a bit bummed out yesterday.

My sketches of Amaranth always seem to be significantly more appealing in black and white than they do in colour. Maybe it'd be worth toning down his general colour scheme to be altogether less vibrant then. I'm always a big fan of the rough shine I give his hair in ...

A fairly simple sketch - not what I envisioned when I started, but not something particularly altogether bad.

I drew a few sketches of a Female Ghirahim back in 2014, which I then shared on social media only within the last few days. I don't really know why I never drew her again - it looked like a pretty neat idea, so I decided to throw together a pretty quick sketch now. Probably not super ideal though. I'm fairly certain I want her build to be very different from my Link's. I want to draw h...

I originally drew Amaranth with a smile here, but I wanted him to not be happy. However, the smile just looked so nice and I had difficulty deciding to not roll with it. Alas, I decided against the smile. Such is life!

Pretty simple sketch. Yesterday sucked for me so I really wanted to get some draws done today. I do plan to do some more draws to share later today, but I think I'm going to play a bit of Salmon Run while it's still up first.

More Amaranth

When was the last time I've drawn an Amaranth? I dunno, a couple of weeks, I guess. No idea what to name any of my sketch files of him though, it's so hard to number them at this point.

I generally don't talk to people about my ideas for characters and stories. I don't think people will really care, and there's always that whole "ah no i can't tell too much and spoil people things" because I'm very particular about how people experience creative things. Plus I don't really spend as much time d...

That ain't no Daddy.

I'm not really into visual novel dating sim games, so that new Dream Daddy game really isn't for me. Though I appreciate that something like it exists - as far as I'm aware, there really isn't a lot of games around with it's subject matter. As of recently, however, there's been a tiiiiny bit of controversy because of genderswapped arts and stuff soooo... then i drew a boobed up daddy this morning.

I might post this publicly. I might not. I'll have to give it some thought and determine how much...

5% NSFW: More Armor

This was a (relatively) quick and dirty response to a tumblr ask I received earlier today on tumblr after posting an older art. Because it's already on tumblr, I thought I'd drop it in here so you can have access to it at full size.  It's a bit messy, and it really should've come out better - but I haven't slept, so I can understand any slip ups.

Oni Link Sketch

Here's a quick sketch I threw together within the hour. I'm almost done with this month's work of Snow Daze, but it's certainly been taking up a lot of time. I will hopefully be finished with it by the weekend.

I sometimes feel bad about drawing Female Links so often and not giving you guys different things to look at - but I'm sure, although that might be appreciated, the Female Link is one of the most appealing things about my art, so you're probably not too distraught about it.

It's k...

Link's Ready to Splat

Alternative title "woomer II."

I had just finished up my session on the latest Snow Daze illustration and then I wanted to take a break, so I did this. Fairly unplanned, so pretty neat.

Unlike my first Linkling (get it, link inkling), I tried to maintain the whole summer water-sporty (not THOSE kinds) type aesthetic; Rather than just drawing an Inkling in Link's outfit, I drew Link AS an actual Inkling. So I kept a lot of her skin shown, and had shorts on.

All in all, it looks neat...

20% NSFW - sitting brellomascot

Here's an older sketch, not too old sketch though. Some people might remember seeing an earlier, uncoloured version some time ago.

I haven't drawn the brellomascot in a while, which is odd because it's like... My mascot. Though Female Links tend to be better received by the internet, so that's probably why. Maybe I should think about hopping onto that brello-comics idea, though I honestly don't think they'd be too successful.

Still, I feel I could use some sort of product or projec...

NSFW - Sketchdump

I only just woke up not too long ago, so I'm not quite ready to work yet. So I'm going to chill a bit before getting to work on some art later on. For now, here's a sketch dump comprised of some older sketches I never shared! The Links on this page are back when her hair was brown, before I did the poofy, cotton-candy pink hair thing.

The sketch in the bottom left was pretty old, and it looked neat. I'm a fan of the glowing pupils, and for something that was just a sketch, the transition...

Marco Diaz Heads

Here's a simple and quick sketch I did at the start of a stream. Not much to say about it. I started with the sketch on the right, duplicated it, erased the ponytail hairpiece, and then added the lashes and redder lips on the right sketch. Pretty simple.

I don't actively watch Star VS. but I enjoy what I have seen with some friends. I wish I had more time dedicated to just watching cartoons and stuff. I should consider scheduling time for it.

EDIT: This post was originally posted for the...

She can't wait to splat some squiddongos

This didn't quite go in the direction I wanted it to, but that's okay, these things happen. But unfortunate.

There's a Global Testfire or something today for Splatoon 2, which is basically like... A Splatfest before the actual game comes out. I'm thinking about playing it, but I'll probably suck because I've never really played Splatoon before and it's motion controls for aiming might be a bit tough for me to handle.

Fierce Deity Sketches

My body's still sore from all the work a few days ago, but I can't afford to slack. I've got a lot of work that needs to be taken care of.

I kinda want to try doing a Fierce Deity Link type of draw one of these days, so I did some sketches. Not really fond of them. I like the behind shot, but the whole tiny skirt thing might be a bit much. I don't think the large V-neck design works too well with the armored cuirass though, so I might have to try seeing if that would work better differently. View Post

NSFW - Sleep-demon Sketches

Here are some older sketchbooks, some of which might be recognized from some streams, but as far as I can tell, have never been posted online.

These started around the time the whole "sleep demon" jokes about me started because of how much time I'd spend awake, coupled with my obsession with telling other people to sleep - the idea being that I'd steal my energy from other people's sleep. Pretty funny. Cute sketches.

Maybe I should draw one of these things again some time.

Kassidy

I did this a bit before bed. Just a simple sketch of Medri's Kassidy - beware, his blogs can be NSFW.

I really wasn't planning to draw today, and I'm glad I didn't plan to. I was on my feet for the vast majority of the day, since I woke up pretty much - so my feet were incredibly sore. Just standing and walking was painful. Not even kidding... I scrubbed and mopped my floor some, got rid of a bunch of garbage, and got the...

Brellomascot Sketches

Here are a couple of brellomascot doodles, not too much to say about em. Haven't drawn the mascot in a while. These are older sketches, the bikini one is a few months old, while the others were done within the last week or so.

I'm thinking about just cutting my hair without any consideration for 100% accurate good hair stylings because it's a bit of a bother as of right now.

Hope you're all doing alright.

can't afford self doubt

Posted this online, just putting it on here at it's full size.

Not much to say, I was sketching something quick considering the general volatile nature of this week (I expect to be really busy with stuff).

Having some general feelings of doubt today.

I wanted to keep the shading fairly simple and keep integrate it into the negative space - turned out alright, though I think it could always have been better. I couldn't decide which colour to go with - I was originally going to go wi...

Assorted stuff and some words

I fished out a number of assorted sketches I never wound up doing anything with, like shoving into a sketchbook. There's some neat stuff that may be worth revisiting in the future.

I thought I'd also use today's post to serve as an update of sorts.

I expect this week to be a tough & busy week, so I'm under the impression that my uploads will be on the lighter side - by which I mean to say, likely just rough sketches or content simple in colour. Though that's simply my expectation. View Post

Actual Armor

I'm not 100% in love with this, but that's okay. I would've liked for it to look more dynamic, maybe if we were looking up at her and her head was twisted downward, that'd be neat.

There's some errors in the helmet, but alas - something to improve upon for the next time. I didn't have an entirely good idea of how it'd work 3 dimension-ally, and it might show. I definitely like the simple shine effect I've got going on though.

I've been playing - and streaming - Breath of the Wild on Mast...

Something sort of different

I wasn't going to post anything today - on account of it being a weekend, but I tried out a new brush shared on twitter, so I thought, why not?

The lines are cleaner than I usually do now - interestingly, the width of the line was determined by the speed at which I moved my hand, rather than by the pressure - which was really weird at first, but very refreshing! Line width isn't something I usually care for because of the pressure element, but I couldn't avoid thinking about my width with ever...

NSFW - Marina Sketches

Just some sketches for Marina (Splatoon 2) tonight. I'd have liked to do an actually illustration for her, but we'll see if that happens down the line, because it'd still be fun to do. She's pretty enjoyable to draw, and it's kinda nice to take a break from the general colour scheme I use for Female Link.

I spent some time working on stuff for Snow Daze - which I'll be getting a lot of work for next week, so I'll try my best to still sketch some neat stuff for you guys to see.

Amaranth sketches

I was planning to post something else today - a really cute drawing of Satellite9's Austin Space, but unfortunately, Clip Studio Paint crashed on me as I started colouring and I hadn't saved it. It made me really sad because I actually liked how it looked.

So instead I just sketched up some quick Amaranths. Having lost time from the Austin artwork, I had to keep these rather simple. But that's okay, I seldom draw Amaranth so anything's good. It's really weird to draw him with a sincere smile r...

Stay Off the Fresh Hook - Marina Sketch

I've never really played Splatoon, and I'm not into the whole "waifu wars" thing that the internet likes to get into, but I drew Marina from Splatoon 2.

I generally don't like to jump on the bandwagon of popular subject matters in art, mostly because I feel that nothing I draw will ever match up to what everyone else is contributing. It's a good thing I'm the only one who really draws Female Links frequently, otherwise I'd definitely not be the best at that.

The character's cute. This wa...

NSFW - Dreaming of Personality

When Gunwild and I had first come up with the idea of Allis the Boobarian, there was supposed to be a very petite princess who was part of Allis' crew, and she wanted to learn magic so she could have a bigger personality, but her efforts never worked successfully on herself.

So here's a draw of her dreaming.

I still have some more cleaning to do today, and hopefully when the ISP technician comes tomorrow, we can see what's really up with my internet and hopefully get it fixed!

Bodyslide Sketches

Here are some old sketches of the Bodyslide girl - in fact, some of which are the very first. You can see in the top few sketches, the character was rather chubby compared to her general slim appearance now.

Even back then it looks like she was fond of wearing those graphic tees with the face things on em - though I was never a fan of those kinds of shirts. I never liked feeling like a walking billboard with any of my clothing.

I should probably make a greater effort to put m...

It's pretty rough - around the time when I first started using the psudobrushies, and really started dabbling in the bondage thingerdoo. Not too much to say about the work in general.
