Free at last!

As of late Friday morning, my animations and the current phase of this contract are DONE!  The next phase may not start for at least a month, but there are other contracts lined up, one which might be starting soon.  For this weekend, though, my time is my own!

July status update

One of my first thoughts this morning - for this 'squish' pinup, I should give Daisy's bikini a stars & stripes pattern, to celebrate the 4th of July!  But I'd need to finish that pinup tonight. The nude version is inked and has its base colors, so all that's left is the shading and the bikini version.

But I have a character rig to build today, for my current contract.

Starting tomorrow, I'll have 10 days (including the weekend) to do one, maybe two sets of five animations. That...

Suggestion time!

I'm in crunch mode this week, which could become panic mode as we get closer to Friday. Yay, deadlines! The thing I'm animating has been taxing, tomsay the least. I've been so wrapped up in how to animate this thing, that I haven't had room to think about much else. Specifically, I have no Daisy ideas that aren't old or comics. Quick version - I'm working on the totem pole pic when I can. If I get at least 2 of my animations done today, then maybe I'll be back on track and can afford to spend time on pinups this weekend.

Getting this one done by the 6th is looking more unlikely, for a few reasons - work, realtors bring people in to look at the house, the roof getting replaced this week, the AC being broken in 90-degree weather...  and my own indecisiveness to top it all off.

Sometimes I feel like I need a "non-canon" sticker, so people don't read too much into an image.  Not everything has to count!  With the dialogue I'd written for this one, that stick would be useful...  So on Discord I'...

I should really try to get this one finished & colored by the sixth - it'll be the sixth day of the sixth month, and there be six tiddies!  

A quick-ish update on things - there might be a delay on last month's image packs.  My work schedule hasn't changed - by the time I finish one rig, I shave to hop onto the next!  How this really disrupts my personal work though, is I have to swap hard drives on my PC when I'm doing contract stuff.  Windows 10 doesn't play nice with...

Sweet Chaos

After waiting a couple more weeks than I'd expected, I'm back on contract work this week.  For now it's mainly rigging, but in another week or two I should have some animation.  

 Last night I had enough of a break to finish the 'too casual' image, and the first chance I get I hope to also finish the Monique version. Planning ahead for next month, I could put together another poll for the next batch of Daisy pinups, OR I could do a mix of new and older ideas...

Thanks & updates

I see Daisy has attracted some new patrons in the past few days.  If you're one of them, welcome!  And to everyone in general, I want to say thank you.  You're all bringing me closer to my being able to make a living doing something that actually makes me happy, which really I don't think I can ever thank you all enough for.  I can try, though, so again, thank you!

This may be a long post, because I have a few things to talk about.  Good news & not so good, basical...

Animation Suggestions

So, assuming I have Daisy or mini-Rose ready to animate next week, what will I have either of them do?  As a warm-up, I could stick to a similar action list as with this contract - idle, fidget, celebrate, walk, run, jump...

Exploring the differences between Daisy & Rose could also be fun.  Daisy is more confident, while Rose is more easy-going.  Rose may also be clumsier in her miniature form, because she's not used to being so short and easily misjudges distances.  Sh...

Pinup Progress!

It's going to be a few days before the next phase of this contract starts, so now I have some time for pinups, and perhaps even Daisy's rig!  An earlier version of her rig will at least be helpful in figuring out the mirror poses...

A crazy month comes to a close

So, today is my first day off in 2 weeks. Last weekend I was stuck working on a pair of animations that I couldn't finish during the week... and what a stressful week that was! This past week, between addressing client feedback and moving to the next set of animations, there wasn't any time to rest. Now I need to enjoy some down-time. While there's still a chance I might draw this weekend, at the same time this has been such a chaotic month that I think I'm just going to turn off billing.

Now the bad news - I'm working on a pair animations this weekend.  One is pretty easy and half-finished as I type this.  The other is one I'd roughed in the other day, but need to re-do to give it more personality.  It's gotta be done by Monday so the client can review the whole set, so no pressure!  

So many options...

Hopefully I'll have time to refine a couple of these this weekend...  the question is, which ones?

Unfortunately, there's also a chance I might be working on my animations through the weekend.  If that's the case, I may do another poll next week, with whatever poses I come up with between now and then added in.

Scribbles

Something I'm trying to get back into the habit of, is drawing almost every day, even if it's just thumbnail sketches. I think there are at least a few here I may need to develop further. Getting back into animation for this contract has been... beyond difficult. Traumatic, even. "Shaking the cobwebs off" doesn't even begin to describe it. Maybe my mood will improve once I get back home. If not, I have no idea what my 'plan B' is...
