Hey hi folks! For the past couple weeks, once I was done with all my recent travels, I've been exhausted and not very productive. It's been a pretty big bummer for me. Thankfully, I've still managed to produce a bunch of stuff: Inktober has kept me busy, I did an art stream where I practiced manga-fying more of my friends, and I've been experimenting with speeding up my art style.
I can't always be the most productive, but I can do my best, and I really appreciate your support with that. Tomor...
I drew a kid! (Not a squid.) Based on a friend of mine, this pic is also an experiment where I tried to bridge the gap between sketching and final line art. If I can do something that works reasonably well without doubling my time by redrawing every line super cleanly, I hope I can achieve a speed I'll feel comfortable with.
(High-res and work files uploaded to the appropriate folders!)
Hey hi folks! Sorry for the sparse updates recently, I've been incredibly exhausted lately and it's taking me so much energy just to draw a pic a day. I've been getting progressively better, though, so I hope to get back into the swing of things soon. Here's 14 more witches from @ochibrochi's witch prompts! Just one week left and I'm really pleased with how comfortable I've gotten with pen drawing again. It's certainly been inspiring in that respect.
Hey hi folks! Here's my latest art stream video, where I draw faces of folks! It still boggles my mind how it's possible to draw someone recognizably with a few lines.
Files have been added to their respective folders. As always, thank you so much for your support! ❤
Since the last update, I spoke at a panel I helped put together for GaymerX4, I had a wonderful time at that convention, I made a lot of new friends, I made more progress with my digital art and I completed a new Design Delve series! I've been feeling very productive lately and it's done wonders for my self-esteem.
I'm about to start a new stream series, and I'm not sure on what yet - but I have a lot of games in the queue, so it should be ...
Hey hi folks! Last weekend I went to GaymerX4, where I was fortunate enough to speak on a panel! Ayla, Mint and I put together a presentation on how to overcome personal inertia; basically, tips and techniques to help us do that thing we've always wanted to do. It got a lot of positive feedback and the panel itself was such a great experience that I definitely want to keep doing these in future conventions.
If you're not following their work already, please check out the respective patreons of...
Hey hi folks! October is upon us and I'm doing Inktober again, because it's been so long since I've drawn with a pen. It's really interesting to see just how different I draw on paper compared to when I use a tablet, so I'm progressively trying to experiment with this medium to see where I go with it. I'm following @ochibrochi's 31 Witches prompt list, so expect more witches as the month progresses! Hopefully my skill will progress along with it. ^^
Hey hi folks! Here are the remaining 6 daily pics of Mousemaid, bringing the total to 20 consecutive takes on the same character. It's amazing how far this has taken me both artistically and creatively - I'm so in love with the character now that I have to do something more with her. I'm looking into making a comic or something like that; a way to tell her story and keep drawing cute maid outfits at the same time. The GaymerX panel I drew this for should also be uploaded in the near future; I ma...
Hey hi folks! Here's a new batch of art stream videos uploaded to my account! I'll be releasing them to the public soon. Thanks again for your support! ❤
Hey hi folks! Time flies when you're recovering from a convention!
The past two weeks have been incredible for me, art-wise. I've been drawing daily thanks to a personal challenge (the mouse maid series) and the progress I've made has been so motivating. I also completed my Jedi Academy Design Delve series of videos, and started a new one on Sonic games, which has been quite revelatory! I'm drawing and streaming and feeling inspired, and that makes me so happy.
Hey hi folks! I'm going to be speaking at GaymerX this coming Friday, on a panel about overcoming personal inertia; essentially, techniques to help with starting and finishing projects that seem daunting or impossible. As a lead-up to that, I gave myself a challenge: take a pic I drew but wasn't happy with (the little mouse maid at the top left) and redraw it every day. That was two weeks ago.
I'm pretty astonished at the results I've gotten; I never really expected to go this far in different...
Hey hi folks! I'm currently working on two different buttons that I want to make soon; one is based on my anxiety comic (on the left) and the other, on a character I've been drawing daily as a challenge to myself - more on that later! These are still concepts for now, but I'm hoping to make a small run of the anxiety button soon so I can bring a few with me to GaymerX in two weeks. I'm slowly giving the merch thing a shot for stand-alone creations; wish me luck! ^^
Hey hi folks! Yesterday I wrapped up my latest Design Delve series, where I play through a game and discuss its design. The game this time was Star Wars - Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, my favorite of the Jedi Knight games! It's not a perfect game, but I think it's the best of that particular franchise for many reasons. I hope you'll find its study interesting! :D
The videos will be released publicly over the next couple of weeks, but you can see the whole thing right now if you want to! Here's th...
Hey hi folks! Here's my latest pic, showing Blue driving a 4x4 that just happens to be possessed by a demon. This took way too long for me to draw. >_< Still, for a 4-hour endeavor, I did learn a lot of tricks I can use again for other pieces, and that's very motivating. Also, some of the effects I wasn't sure how to pull off - like the portal Suzi's halfway out of (she's the demon) - turned out to be very quick to execute. All in all, I'm eager to do more pieces like this one! These chara...
Hey hi folks! What an exhausting two weeks it's been!
I finally managed to complete the last of the League of Heels comics, I made an actual physical comic book out of them, I made the PAX Rumble IV poster, went to PAX West to do some meeting & greeting & merching, and came home the most exhausted I've been in a long time. But I made it, thanks in no small part to you!
I've thankfully gotten back to streaming, and it's been so rewarding. I need ...
Hey hi folks! I'm currently reorganizing my channel and will soon be putting up all my biweekly art stream videos. Here are your links to them in case you missed them - they'll be going public over the course of the coming days.
A few weeks ago, when I visited Otakuthon (an anime convention) here in Montreal, I made myself a promise: next year, I would exhibit at a convention as an artist. I figured one year, give or take, would be enough time for me to improve my skills and have a body of work I can be proud of - and sell some of it. And this weekend, at the League of Heels PAX Rumble panel, I sold my first-ever comic book.
It wasn't the first time I'd ever sold my art (that was at the previous League of Heels show a...
This is the official poster of the fourth PAX Rumble, which I worked on over the course of two weeks, on and off. I was in a complete rush by the end, however, and finished the final pass in a single grueling day. I am against crunch in all its forms, and here I'm sad I had to resort to it. I'm sure the final product - while way cool - would've been better had I prepared better and left myself more time to work on it. Specifically, I would've loved to have had the time to experiment mo...

Here it is, the bonus League of Heels comic! Please don't share this digitally, as it was meant to be a print exclusive for the comic book.
Meant to be a callback to various key events of League of Heels history, this strip was also a good opportunity for me to try to represent crowds in different ways (because I didn't have the time to draw everyone individually). Turns out that the colors I used all printed much darker than I thought, which actually worked in my favor for maki...
Hey hi folks, I'm back from PAX! Time for a lot of content! :D First, here's the final public comic for the League of Heels pre-panel ramp-up. Buildings are hard to draw and I need to practice them a lot. >_<
This comic, along with the previous four, were compiled into a printed comic book - which also contained an exclusive extra comic! (I had a page left over and wanted to do something with it.) I'll be posting that one next!
Hey hi folks! What a long, strange two weeks it's been!
We made a button, I went to New York, and I've been submerged in comic art oh my gosh I can't wait to be done. Soon!
Later this week is PAX West - expect a fun report on what happened at the League of Heels wrestling panel, where I will be selling the merch I've made: the official poster (coming soon to your eyes here) and a zine compiling all the comics I've made so far. It's going ...
Hi again! Here's the other comic I completed, this time right after coming back from New York. I'll post an update on what I did over there soon, because it left quite a mark on me. But now, here's the most visually complex of the comics yet! I'm not quite satisfied with the liquid metal and gold textures, but I feel they do the job for a first attempt. I'll definitely try to scrounge up reference pics next time and do some experimentation. There's just one more comic left to publish, and i...

Hey hi folks! I finished the third PAX Rumble comic in a great big hurry before my New York trip and haven't taken the time to upload it (or the next one), so here it is! I see now a few little mistakes I'd like to correct, and while I can't edit the version that's on Twitter, I can make sure the printed version will be better! (In case I hadn't mentioned it before, I'm compiling these into a comic book and selling it at the League of Heels (formerly PAX Wrestling) panel at PAX West. It'll ...

Hey hi! The Friends at the Table button I drew and designed finally arrived in the mail! I picked the right size to get legible text, and I've learned a lot - there's not a lot of leeway with dark colors, so I should concentrate on lighter tones in designs. I'm also excited to make smaller buttons next time! :D
They get pretty expensive in small runs, but I'm glad I did it as an experiment. Next time I may try to make something I can sell!
Hey hi folks! During my last art stream, I began cleaning up a design for a button depicting AuDy from Friends at the Table's wonderful series COUNTER/Weight. Here's the finished version! I stayed up entirely too late last night finishing it in a rare burst of inspiration. I just ordered a trial run of buttons and I can't wait to see how they turn out! I'll post an update once I have the physical article in hand.
Art streams have continued (thanks again for helping me meet that goal!) and we finished a picture together, then started on a button design! I'll be uploading videos of that soon, and hopefully returning to Design Delve - it's been especially hard to keep doing those as I've been working very hard to get material done in anticipation of PAX West.
I've thankfully managed to get my work files and high-res pics up in a rel...
Hey hi folks! Here's the second PAX Rumble comic in high resolution! Once again, I'm releasing these on Twitter under the hashtag #PAXRumble. As I make these, I think I'm getting better at making these comic characters actually look like the people they're based on, and that's really motivating! Having photo references and trying to replicate physical features helps a lot.
Until the next one, take care, and keep on making wonderful things! <3
Hey hi folks! To mix things up, I'll be having my art stream Saturday instead of Sunday! I've got a lot of work on my plate right now, so I'm moving things around to make sure I'm as efficient as possible. It'll start at 1 PM EDT and should stream for about two hours; I'll be starting from a sketch I posted earlier and turning it into a button! :D Hope to see you there!
