Life Update & What's Next

So after finishing the Montagne, here is the big update post I promised:

The biggest news is that I have been admitted into a masters studies course at the University of Vienna, starting in October. As you can imagine that is a LOT of work and a completely new life for me which I'm very excited about, it's the biggest opportunity I've been given thus far in my journey on this planet. I don't want to go too deep into personal details here, but this has financial ramifications and since t...

Montagne Sound Update

This concludes the Montagne journey! If you have the car already it'd be easier to download this from OverTake, or from the file attached in this post directly:

https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/alpine-a210-sounds-montagne-m2-10.78169/

If you don't have it yet, firstly, what are you waiting for, secondly, the new sounds are included in the Shop download. Even if you d...

The Mauro Bianchi Challenge

You got the Montagne? Good, now I'll give you something interesting to do with it.

"15,000 spectators came to the Nürburgring for the 7th edition of the 500-kilometer race.
In the 1965 500-kilometer race, Abarth’s winning streak was broken. Since the founding of the 500-kilometer race, the overall winner had always driven an Abarth. In 1966, the overall victory was contested solely between Abarth and Alpine. During Friday’s practice, Mauro Bianchi made the first...

Montagne M2-10 Preview Post

After almost 5 months of intense work, brain-breaking attention to detail and a lot of learning and gathering of tools and skills, it's time to proudly present to you the Montagne M2-10.

Dipping our fingers into paid content, and with good reason as I hope you'll come to understand with the level of detail and quality these vehicles will provide to you and the hours that went into the build.

So what do you get? Let's start with the basics: there are 3 different variations of the s...

A Date!

Excited to announce the release date of the peculiar looking French car:

June 11th

The car is pretty much finished apart from the sound which we are working on currently while also testing for any potential bugs.

Feast your eyes on some amazing screenshots made by Rodger (and me)!

A thorough detailed overview of all the intricate detail that went into this build will be posted on release day. Until then, you'll just have to trust me when I say, it's the full package! ...

Alpine Status Update

As promised, a status update on the Alpine.

Life has been a bit crazy lately, I'm in a relationship (sadly, not ideal for hobbies :D ), a lot of work surrounding my masters studies, the 9 to 5 struggle, family members health.. yada yada.

Anyhow, I've made some big progress on the Alpine despite all that:

  • The mesh has been optimized after applying subdivisions, it sits pretty at around 355k tris

  • Almost everything is there, some minor details to go and t...

A Deal!

Huge news! We have striked a lucrative deal with the diecast company Burago, to use our 3D models for diecast printing. However this deal sadly means that due to contractual obligations, we won't be able to use these models in-game for the duration of their diecast sale.

What a lame excuse for an April fools, I just wanted to share these cute renders Marguek made heh. Update on the Alpine coming soon. Cheers! View Post

Progress! (Update)

A bit of silence in the past weeks doesn't mean that we haven't been busy. The Alpine is entering the final modeling stages. Or should I say the ALPINES plural:

A210:

In order not to spam the post with all the available bo...

Next project? Vote now!

After consulting with the Patreons eligible to suggest cars for polls, this is what we have landed on this time around. As I explained in the last post, the project that wins this vote will be worked on by my talented colleague Marguek42, while I finish the Alpine and Abarth.

Choices are as follows:

1. Austin Healey Le Mans Sprite 19652. Austin Healey SR Le Mans 19682025-02-18 12:38:31 +0000 UTC View Post

Quick quick quick!!

Since the release of the Ferrari and my last post 2 weeks ago the Alpine and Abarth have seen amazing amounts of progress. Despite my vacation the Alpine is coming along nicely and Marguek42 has done a stunning and swift job on the Abarth. Together with Pasta and Marguek42, we sit down in voice chat scrutineering sessions to judge the models and look for inaccuracies, compare them to reference images etc. No egos being hurt here, it's all in the interest of creating the best possible model un...

Current project (s), how many? Two?

So we all know about the Alpine, that's old news, haven't had much time to work on it because of the Ferrari, now I'll be off for one week to Vienna for some sightseeing and beer-seeing, but once I return this baby will be done in no time.

Hoooowever, how many of you knew about the ABARTH? Yes, we have two cars in the pipelines at the moment. I say we because I have a new massively talented and dedicated co-worker. I present to you: marguek42 and his Abarth 1300 OT WIP.

The Abar...

1965 Ferrari 275P2 / 330P2 / 365P2

The release is finally here, thank you all for your patience and support, enjoy it, post any possible issues you find here in the comments, and let's go for some more! Upcoming post on exciting stuff already in the works! But, there is a but, as mentioned before, the release of this mod marks the "official" release of my Patreon, so from now on, everything will work as advertised in the Tiers.

If you want to access future WIP posts, or even get Beta versions of cars (doubtful whether fu...

Hustle

Difficult progress on the 365P2 mod. Made things (needlessly?) complicated by trying to make the first truly modular Assetto Corsa mod. As you can see in the pictures, there are 3 different versions of the car at the moment. All 3 of those versions are in the same folder, no need for separate car folders. Actually you can make infinite versions by hiding and replacing body parts as you please, all with an ext_config file in the skin folder, meaning, a skin is not only paint but also a differe...

Upcoming poll and pricing changes!

Hello all, I hope you are enjoying the WSC60s update and with it my 1966 Ferrari 365P2.

Now, it's time to start a new project and with that I want to make voting available to more people, hence why I have decided to lower the price of the Fan and Supporter tiers. So if you can, come and join us, it's one less burger a month in exchange for the fulfillment of your (virtual) automotive dreams 😎 if, that is, burgers still cost $3 in your country, in mine they most certainly don't... Holy ravioli...

Just because I'm not posting, doesn't mean I'm not working. And working I have been... a lot.. on average probably 6 hours a day. The results are as follows:

The 1965 car is completely ready for import. I had to reorganize the entire objects hierarchy according to AC guidelines, animate wipers, model stuff, add stuff, remove stuff yada, yada. There I was thinking, hmm the 1965 car is almost the same as the 1966, heck, while I'm at it why not make infinite interchangeable body parts so t...

1965 Ferrari 365P2 Status Update

A slight change of plans for the release as I'm edging ever closer to finishing this absolute sculpture of a car: the 1966 Drogo version of the car will be released with the WSC Legends pack ONLY, however, this 1965 version in all of it's iterations will be available on Overtake (RaceDepartment).

Still can't give you any release dates and the goal of releasing before new years is looking to be ever more optimistic. A lot of work is currently going on and all ACL team members are beyond...

BREAKING NEWS

Hugh Mungus news folks!

Firstly, I'd like to proudly announce that the Ferrari has been accepted as part of the next AC Legends team's WSC Legends pack. Yes, this means that you can count on it being finished to the highest possible standard in historic sim racing. The physics by the master himself, Bazza, fit and finish by the artists GADU, ValentinK and Rodger, skins by the ever so historically accurate Pasta, tested by the fastest driver on 4 wheels running vintage rubber, Parrilla, ...

1966 Ferrari 365P2 Status Update

So time to talk about the coming release. How and why I decided to start working on this, and start learning Blender along the way, around the 5th of November, I can't really recall, must've been fate. This is the result of less than 2 months of INTENSE work. Every waking hour I spent working on it or thinking about it, and even while at work I spent a lot of time in Blender, sneakily.

The 1966 iteration of the 365P2 is a custom body style made by Carrozzeria Drogo for customer entries....

Oopsie

G'day all, my friend Pasta did a little oopsie promoting my Patreon prematurely, I didn't plan to alert the wider public about it until everything is in place so for clarification, it's still in the "building" phase.

To those who are here already, welcome and thank you! You can expect some movement and a release (not to make a secret of it, it's literally in the picture above) within the coming week or two, and once we have enough people on board I'll make the first poll to decide what...

Introduction.

Hello and welcome! Some may know me from my past work in GTR2 and the WSC1967 mod, some may know me from my recent AC activity, some may not know me at all, so here we go:

I'd like to start with telling a little sad story about myself. Since I was wee lad I used to scribble and draw cars, this evolved to designing my own cars by the age of 10, giving them fancy names and so on. This habit I brought with me to school where, while bored out of my mind, I just drew cars and bikes on the sc...
