Cassowary Studies

They have such a neat shape, with their big feet and skinny legs.  They almost appear to not have any wings at all, which to me make them look like goofy muppet creatures.  Plus those luscious lashes.....  What a neat animal!

The featherless body studies were mostly guesswork, because I couldn't find any pictures of a featherless cassowary.  I ended up using ostrich photos/studies as reference.

Bonnie Ref (Mutant)

Went more in-depth on this one, since there's not as much contextual inference you can do with a mutant blob creature.  

There's a lot going on here, so hopefully I remembered to include everything!  I've had this finished for a while, but put off posting it because I couldn't decide if it was actually done.  

One of these days I'll make a ref for her boyfriend, too!  Maybe.

Power's Back!

it took almost a week for them to finally get to us, but my power finally came back on earlier today.  Hooray!  

I should now, finally, barring any further interruptions, be able to proceed with my usual schedule.  Feels like it's been an awful long time since I had a normal schedule.

Spider Crab Studies

Power's still out, but drawing these has definitely helped me warm up to the tablet i'm using!  Things are weird and I'm tired so I'm letting myself take it slow.  Gave myself a chance to do some coloring this time!

Power Outage Update

Still no update on when power will be back; I'm expecting to stay at the hotel for a couple more days.  We're expecting another storm tomorrow, which will probably delay the repair crews even more.  Very thankful we got here while the roads were still relatively safe!

Decided to head to Best Buy and purchase a small Wacom tablet, since I've been meaning to get a backup for vacations and emergencies like this anyway.   I haven't used a non-display lap tablet in a whil...

Back from my trip!

I had a great time spending time with family.  There's not much to do in Idaho, so we spent most of the time hanging out and putting puzzles together.  Which is how I like my vacations!

Happy new year, everybody!  Let's make it a good one this time around, eh?  

Sorry for the delay on last month's comic; I didn't quite managed to get it done in time before the new year.  I'll be away on vacation from January 2nd-7th, so that delay will have to continue until I get back.  That also means rewards will be delayed until after I finish the comic, and commissions will be further delayed until I have finished the rewards.  Sorry about that!
