I'm not sure if I wanna post pages one at a time or save them to post in batches.  This one works okay as a cliffhanger, I might save pages that are awkward to drop off on.  

Minor scheduling Update

I (somehow only just now) realized it doesn't make any sense to post Supreme-Tier rewards on the last day of the month, because it doesn't give me any time to finish forms submitted around those last couple days.  So from now on, Patron rewards will go up during the first week of the following month.  Letting you all know now so you don't wonder where your rewards are.

Sorry it's a bit later than the previous comics!  I've been busier than usual, still getting used to scheduling work on a monthly basis.  

Seeking Asylum (WIP) pg. 1 (Prologue)

Excited to share this little project I've been working on between commissions!

I've done a few drawings based around Asylum of the Daleks before, which is an episode I hold very near and dear to my heart for obvious reasons.  The quality of the episode, however, is none of those reasons.  It leaves a lot of questions unanswered that I haven't stopped being confused about.  Like, why did they turn her into a dalek just to leave her in the asylum where she can do no one any...

Hadn't ever tried a commission of this type before, not sure if I will in the future because setting up the composition and thumbnailing takes as much time as actually drawing the panels... 

TAXES COMPLETE

They were supposed to be simple because I don't make enough to owe anything, but trying to navigate tax documents with my reading disability is a bit of a nightmare.  Glad to have it taken care of.  

Design test

I've been in a big mood for daleks the past few days.  Here's a test design concept for a larger side project I've been working on between commissions, and assuming this wave of motivation keeps up for a bit longer, should hopefully have more sneak peaks to show off before too long.  🤫  

I really like designing unique mutants, keeping the basic look intact but changing up a few things here and there.  Can't be a mutant without a few mutations.

Had a great week visiting the UK!

Train strikes made it tough to get around and meant I didn't get to do much of anything in London, but I had a wonderful time reconnecting with my friends in person and spending some time in the countryside.  

I'm planning to get right back into drawing, assuming jet lag doesn't hit me too hard.

March Comic WIP

At this point I'm wondering if chad has some kind of marine invertebrate-related curse.  He should probably stop going to the beach.  

Before researching I actually thought the sea star's mouth and anus were the same hole, but it turns out their anus is actually directly opposite their mouth, on their back.  That other little hole (the off center one) is where they take in water.  

Maybe the top right panel is a bit too upsetting.  Maybe I'll make a unique...

Starfish Studies

Done a bit of research, and I think the species I'm gonna go with this month is gonna be the Granulated Sea Star, also known as the "doughboy" sea star.  Not only is it adorable, it looks a little bit like...  Well, you either see it or you don't.

Took a casual look at spider anatomy after making last month's comic.  

Particularly fascinated by their genitalia.  Apparently the shape is different for every species, and some species of spider can only be told apart by the shape of their genitalia!
