Silk

For my Gold Brush tier reward this month, I asked my Patrons to put in requests for a 'New Year, New Look' sketch theme. They were able to choose between either their original characters or an existing one for a redesigned.

This was a redesign of Silk, a Marvel character from the Spiderman universe. I tried to keep some elements of her outfit and evolve it into something more mysterious. :)

Colored sketch commission of a sword dancer! I really liked the idea of using soft colors vs her sharp blades, haha.

Dullahan

A modern headless horseman concept for Green Fairy Studios! We went for almost a Ghost Rider approach and designed him like a biker, with an extendable blade made from spinal cords. Had to keep the gore to a minimum but this concept was still a ton of fun to create. :)

Duramboros Hunter

Another MH girl sketch! I don't draw the heavily armored armors as compared to teh more cute or sexy ones. I really should, as I used heavy armors like Basarios and Uragaan for a while haha.

Not sure why I chose the Brachydios hammer, guess I was using it at the time :)

Gigginox Hunter

I'm not a fan of the Gigginox at all from MH, but I really liked this gunner armor you could create from it. :)

Worked on this colored sketch commission on Twitch! I'll admit, I pain ted a bit more than I should have but it was just a lot of fun to work on. :)

Gold Leaf sketch

Was working on this while waiting on guests's before the New Year.

I had an idea to try to mimic gold leaf by masking layers. I think if given time I can try to achieve the look I was going for! This lady is based of a cosplayer I saw at WonderCon a couple years back. :)

Santa Baby

Very rough sketch I tried to complete before Christmas. ><

Oh well! I still like her pose and smile.

2018 Holiday Sketch for Hanners! (sorry I kept forgetting her name)

This was a request to draw one of the characters from Star Wars Battlefront 2 all dressed up for the season. Part of the request was possibly a snowy background like Hoth, but due to lack of time I tried to give a hint she was on the planet with a tauntaun skin rug, haha. Was trying to for got a pin up look!

Thank you so much for your awesome patronage, Hanners!

Winter Zelda

2018 Holiday Sketch done for HawkHunting!

I havent played BOTW yet, or any Zelda game for that mater, but I absolutely love the art for it. So I was happy to get the chance to draw Princess Zelda in some holiday gear. Really anime'd up this one, haha.

Cheers, Hawk! And thank you for being a long time supporter. :)

Mistletoe

2018 Holiday Sketch for Luli!

Was asked for 2 portraits instead of one character. I wanted to give them a holiday theme suited for a couple, and kissing under the mistletoe seemed appropriate. :) It's actually kind of tough to draw interaction between characters, so this was good practice!

Thank you for being such a long time supporter, Luli!! I truly appreciate it :)

Holiday Ymm

2018 Holiday Sketch for DeDeuce!

Was requested to sketch her original character Ymm with some festive gear, like tinsel and mistletoe. It's always fun to try and draw sort of 'monster' humanoids.

Thank you so much for your support and becoming a Gold Brush Patron!

Rebecca Clause

2018 Holiday sketch for ArynChris.

Was happy to sketch and color her OC. According to her "... she's a villain in an old superhero-ish rp.  She's a dark and emotionally violent woman who, after a freak meteor event kills her daughter and gives her superstrength, straight-up turns axe murderer and goes on a spree in City Hall."

The blood was fun to add, haha. Thank you so much for being a Gold Brush Patron!!

Where's the rest of me?

I was working on a grayscale to color nude for practice one day. I like how her face came out so far!

coloring sketches

I consider pieces like this as a colored sketch. It's very messy and I don't stress about it being clean like the fully rendered pieces.

Since the subject matter was twins, I drew anon first, then duplicated it and adjusted it to look like kanon. (minimized her curves, sketched different hair and facial expressions)

Flat colors actually take a bit of time and is my least favorite part of the coloring process. Since it's mostly just draing a shape with a lasso and filling.

anon & kanon

A couple Vocaloids I wish took off but didn't seem to. They are twins but with obvious physical differences to tell them apart. Their voice providers were never revealed, but I always thought it was the same lady to pass off the whole 'twins' package that hadn't been done before in Vocaloid.

anon had a soft, shy voice. While kanon had a louder, perkier voice.

Dungeons and Dragons

A digital painting for a DnD couple that was a Christmas gift commission. It was a bit challenging for me as I'm trying to get my paintings look more painted, less rough.

It was still a fun process to figure out when I actually made breakthroughs, haha. I'll post the WIP next!

Zatanna

During one of my live streams I sketched a couple DC girls, and slowly inked them on my spare time.

I also wanted to draw a busty magical girl, and I always thought Zatanna would fit that mode, haha. Being how she's a show girl her appearance would always need to be dramatic and over the top!

I'll post the PSD file on the next post for my Patrons. :)

Ceremony of Eternal Bonding

I posted the work in progress piece, so here's the final image on its own. :)

Working on such a small time frame really pushed me and even though I was stressed with it, I like the end result and hope you all too!

Blade and Soul Gunslinger

I tried to draw and paint this commission in the style of Hyung Tae Kim, the lead artist of Blade and Soul. Ended up on a toss up of both our styles. I really enjoyed working on this character, and I'll post the PSD and work in progress steps soon!

Nostalogic

It was the Vocaloid MEIKO's 13th anniversary yesterday! I was up at 6am and couldn't sleep so she seemed like a good subject to paint.

Never intended to finish her so she's still pretty rough. She's wearing the module for Nostalgic, one of my favorite songs of hers!

Casual Samurai

A sketch from Blizzcon 2017. Wanted a mix of street wear and traditional Japanese fashion. And a little bit of butt.

I had my Patreon request stream last week, and had a ton of fun with the concepts I was given. So there's a bit more coloring and rendering to these ones than normal. I'm just a huge fan of the Halloween theme!

And this was the last of em!

Thank you so much to my Gold Brush tiered Patrons. Everyone bit really counts, but I really appreciate the little extra you guys can give!

FFXIV Pin Up

This was commissioned a while ago, around Stormblood's release. I had to make her look a toned but not too muscular, so it was a great study for that body type! :)

Baba Yaga

An old Baba Yaga concept I created for Green Fairy studios from 2016. I actually nailed her design on the first go, so I went into inks form there. This line art was created to be colored in later, so I tried to keep the spot blacks less heavy than usual.

It's fun to ink old people. The exact opposite of inking a young woman, the more lines the better!

Colored sketch commission! I really love doing these types of commissions lately. I don't have to be too fussy about the line art, so I get to jump into colors more organically.

Inktober Day 5

I sketched an inked a Hydra for Green Fairy Studios! At first it had no legs and was much more serpentine like it's original myth, but I felt adding legs to make it capable of chasing prey on land would appear much more intimidating.

I wanted to incorporate digital inks into Inktober as well, so here you go :) I tend to keep my sketches very loose digitally. I'll post a traditional sketch before I ink it to show by comparison next time!
