BTT - Trick Training Series - Skateboard Training for TINY Birds!

Today I am working on the skateboard trick again with Primrose the parrotlet (and maybe a few visitors...) how do you feel she did?

A wild bird got trapped in my aviary...

I went to have a flight training session with Jinx and Zip when I noticed a wild bird in my aviary! It must have flown in when I opened the door and then left to go get the macaws to bring them in with the ease of the door being open for me...

Came across this this morning…

This time last year we were experiencing van life with Blueberry and Monet and I was loving every second of having Blueberry as my road pal. She was even joining many of the masterclasses too. This memory popped up for me today and I’m just missing her a ton. I can’t imagine another bestie as good as her. 🩵

What Jinx is afraid of...

When I posted the video of my birds around tools like pressure washers and such, it was because a patron specifically asked to see footage like that. I think a huge difference between that experience and this one, was that I was the one operating the loud, big object the first time and I do it all the time and can control how close or far away I get to my birds based on their body language cue...

My Summer Project

This summer I chose a new and unexpected project after spending a full month using my bird trailer. We don't typically take flight trips that long, ever, and it really started a shift in my mind-set. I am looking forward to hearing all your ideas and suggestions in the comments! I will keep you all updated with the changes we make.

Someone recently asked about wanting to see my birds’ reactions to when we use power tools or loud equipment. So I thought I would share this video recently of Zip and Jinx sharing an aviary while I pressure wash the other aviary.
