So finally, after some feedback, we're releasing another hotfix together with change-log included that describes the changes in the previous hotfixes.
Changelog (v0.15.5b)
-Two save files have been included in the release, this is for those who have previously played the game and reached a certain point.
-Additional instructions before the fight inside the cave has been provided.
-Items inside the cave have been relocated to minimize the difficulty.
-The fights inside the cave are now easier.
- "Alpha ABS Demo," A battle system demo for players to get accustomed to the battle system has been included with this release.
-Fixed a bug where the player would get an error: "Cannot Read Property 'needWeaponCheck' of undefined" when reloading saves inside the cave.
-Fixed crash due to missing images.
-Fixed crash due to some PCs not supporting the Ō character.

-Removed junk files, (junk/duplicate .wav files, background PNG images, and battlebacks which are NOT being used in the game since it is an Active Battle System) game's size has been reduces by approximately 200mb for easier uploading/downloading.

Edit: It seems the Blend Mode error only occurs to select users. To those still having the Blend Mode error, it might have something to do with your graphics card, I recommend running the game with different PCs to check compatibility.

Here is a hotfix that fixes two bugs:
-Blend modes undefined error.
note: for the above, I am still investigating further the blend mode error, I suspect that it is caused by Khas Advanced Lighting Plugin. for now I have turned off the custom blend mode option in the plugin, but If the plugin persists, I will release another hotfix that has it turned off.
-Character images not loading crash.
Guys, when reporting bugs, it would help a lot if you describe the bug in detail. like what point in the game did it occur and include screenshots of the error also helps me identify the problem so I can fix it faster.

Dear all, our Patreon account finally has access to allowing enable charge upfront.
What is Charge Upfront?
According to Patreon's zendesk: "Charge up front is an option for monthly creators that allows them to charge their patrons immediately upon pledging."
Essentially, if you are a NEW Patron, this means you will be charged on the day you become a patron, allowing you to have access to all content shared with a reward tier. On the 1st of the following month, you will simply return to being charged monthly at the beginning of the month.
If you're an EXISTING Patron, you will be will be charged on the 1st of the month like usual.
Why the change?
This is important, because there are a number of people who avail the standard tier to get the new rewards but then conveniently cancel that any time after viewing the links to the release to avoid paying for the received rewards.
I understand that everyone has their own circumstances. If you need to adjust your pledge or even cancel your pledge, I will not be upset or judge you for that! Things happen!
Most of these guys, however, continue to repeat their methods every single month. They know they're abusing the system and it's a slap in the face to the honest supporters of Charao Life which is why I enabled these changes.
If you are a current Patron, you should not notice any changes. You will continue to be charged at the start of every month! You can also still cancel/adjust future charges if you need to for any reason!

Alright finally done, I'm proud to present Charao Life [v0.15b]!
After almost another two months of progress, studying RPGMaker MV engine, conceptualization, implementation, bug testing. We are proud to present the v0.15b release. This release features more content than the previous one, in terms of revamped graphics and most importantly, a working Active Battle System in contrast to the default Turn Based Battle System that the original engine provided. I will post the Change log later.
We will be collecting feedback the following days from now. And following that, we will begin planning for v0.2b.
If you encounter any bugs, please report on our Patreon community tab by making a post there, as we will not be entertaining queries about the game from third party sites.

Just a heads up, I might be able to finish v0.15b by tomorrow, It will feature a revamp of the old v0.1b with upgraded graphics and some added content.

Hey guys cedr777 with another update.
It's time to unveil the battle system for this game, and lo and behold, it's not turn based! yay!
I decided to go with an Active Battle System to make the RPG aspect of this game more engaging (and less generic and boring)
I made this map in a separate game folder to test its features.
Originally though, I never intended for this game to have a battle system, it was planned to be a visual novel format only, the only need for the RPG Maker engine was to emulate the "movement" between places, a feature which was less common had we gone with a visual novel engine like Renpy or Unity.
That said, this is more of a test to see IF we can really implement an Active Battle System for Charao Life, more trials and errors must be performed before we are able to incorporate this mechanic into our main project.
But I assure you from this video alone, the ABS will work for the game.

We've received some feedback from some users who are unable to save the game.
Make sure that when you extract the archive containing the game, the "www" folder should be there together with the main game executable as it is the folder containing the save files.
Don't run the game without the above mentioned folder as you will have save errors.

Update: Done with Tachibana Akeno's portrait, phew.
Next is Shizuru, Takeshi, then the creepy old man and probably some minor characters. After that I'm gonna go back to writing the script.

Do you remember Tsugumi? Yeah Takeshi's classmate and the girl who Satoshi has a crush on.
Well, I decided to remake her using Illusion's KoiKatsu Chara Studio and I'm surprised that it turned out so well.
There might still be changes to her final design though.

Hi everyone, So after 1 month of conceptualization and 2 and a half months of work to implement it, I am proud to present our very first introductory public demo release for Charao Life.
This patch mostly covers the introduction of the story, maps and the game mechanics. It has roughly half an hour to 45 minutes of gameplay and will cover mostly the basic premise of the story.
It took me a long time to create the maps and the game mechanics as I am still a newbie in using RPG Maker MV engine. However, I assure you that the basic premise of the story has been covered.
Since I'm not that familiar yet with terminologies such as Beta and Alpha, but this might be more of an Alpha release.
I've tried to proofread all the dialogues while debugging the game but there will be glitches (like tile collision) or typos here and there, It will be fixed on future releases.
The next patch is planned to contain more updates on story and art.
I hope you all enjoy this meager patch, please comment/critic below what you think of it so we can use it as reference to dictate the future of the game.
