The glawackus wasn't the only steed animal I had in mind for El Indon - there was also this! This is one reason none of the furry-people designs in El Indon are foxes, because the foxes are horse-shaped instead. These guys aren't as strong as the glawackus, don't fight nearly as hard, and can't carry nearly as much, but they're a lot faster and slimmer, which makes them great for forest chases.
I've been wanting to make this one for a while now. Yes, this ask blog has a plot.

Well everyone, Hiveworks passed on El Indon. I was a finalist, but this means I have very little financial incentive to keep going on a project that's such a timesink against other, profitable work.

I submitted El Indon for consideration to the Hiveworks network this past week. Part of that deal was including character designs like these, and interestingly, it also required revealing the ending of the story in the submission pitch, so unfortunately I can't share that with you all here. That wouldn't be any fun.
