I wanted to make some goblins that weren't dust outs to help flesh out other aspects of goblin society. Halligan here is at once smooth and horrifying. Honeyed words and poisoned blades.
He is a foil and and to my mind an underused archetype.

HROTCHLAP
I've been playing quite a bit of retro fps HROT lately. Enough to finish it then replay it on a higher (still scrub) difficulty and try and find more secrets. It's chunky and brown - but it's all by design and it works very well.
I could see no official art for the player character in HROT so I tried my hand at drawing the HROTCHLAP ('chlap' being dude or guy in czech/slovak)
I pieced him together. He seems hard done by, always getting by on what he finds. His armour is literall...

How I'm gonna do it
This is a very important announcement.
Demand has steadily been going up for the 10 dollar sketches - much more than I anticipated.
Now, I still want to do them and I don't want anyone to miss out but I also want to maintain the level of sketching quality I've been doing for people. Which, whatever I originally intended has been between 2-7 hours per piece in some cases.

Raege is only sorta messing with him here, it's genuinely what she's used to.

Regarding the 10 dollar sketches, I could also have it that I can only fill 10 slots a month but you cant do two months in a row. If that leads people to constantly adjust their pledge that's also fine. That would allow me to maintain a certain level of investment in each piece.

Here's a thing- the reoccurring theme of a coffee mug with "Ain't that a shame" written on it was meant to be a reference to Deus Ex.
But I misremembered the quote.
SO now I guess it's just a reoccurring joke in my work.
Still learning
Hokay! What I am rapidly learning is that I cannot keep spenf up to six hours on a 10 dollar sketch. I am really sorry! I really wanted to but it is not gonna last unless it's literally all I do. No one wants that.
SO sketches are going to have to get simpler. Less colours, simpler poses, not too many characters.
I am really sorry - I am still trying to learn what works and what's possible.

They call her 'Six Gun' cause she goes through that many revolvers before she hits anything.
I had Raege smiling here, because I think a simpler shoot to kill world would work for her. She would enjoy her work.

I am increasingly sure I misspelled his name on his business cards. That's not meant to be the case.
Karl is a stand up sorta mensch but he's kind of a sucker for a sob story. He maintains the trouble follows him. Amongst all his anxiety, Karl wonders if there is a fine line between trying to set a good example and being a phoney. Deep down, he knows he wants to do what's right.
